00:00You would wheelie, you'd have to let off the gas, and you wouldn't get as much acceleration forward.
00:04With that whole shot device, they can really accelerate at a rapid rate.
00:08Final one of the DeWalt, SX2, Wilson Todd, Shane McElrath, Cosford looked great in the heat race.
00:16Tigerwood, Lux Turner, Ryder Kingsford, Alex Larwood, Caleb Barham, Reese Budd, Jake Cannon, Seth Burchill.
00:24It is an absolute full gate out there.
00:27Constantino, Jack Byrne, who we saw have a good one in that LCQ.
00:31Ferguson, O'Brie, Adams, Olanda, and Lahir are all ready to line up and get this one underway.
00:39We are only moments away again.
00:41We'll know when that 30-second board goes up, because that's when this man runs in to get his bike and get ready to get underway.
00:50The MyPay now mascot leading the way across the start line with the green flag.
00:57He looks like he's very comfortable out there.
01:00He's having some fun.
01:01Knows exactly what's going on with Supercross.
01:04Smile on his face, and so he should do, because we're about to get the first of these finals underway.
01:08The 30-second board is up.
01:13Watch for the start from Turner.
01:15He's been good out the gate.
01:17McElrath in the second race last night looked very good as well.
01:21Larwood, Todd have both scored themselves a good start.
01:25Kingsford very fast in qualifying.
01:27There are so many unknowns in this one.
01:31Who is composed?
01:32Who is settled when they get this gate drop will find themselves up the front and working their way around the turn.
01:41We are ready to get the first of the finals underway.
01:45Good start by the 16 from the inside.
01:48Tiger Wood tries to sneak across.
01:50Oh, it won't ride it down.
01:51Two, three.
01:52I think Larwood's involved in that.
01:53There was another Honda.
01:54Two, three Hondas are down.
01:56Wow, what a massive mistake in the first turn.
01:59Three Hondas down all teammates.
02:02That's Larwood on the five right there.
02:04He was second in the championship points.
02:06Only one point behind Lux Turner.
02:08Huge mistake.
02:09McElrath was down as well.
02:11Tiger Wood.
02:12That's a terrible start.
02:13Oh, the triple.
02:16Bad moment there.
02:17One rider not able to jump the triple.
02:20That was Jack Byrne.
02:21And I'm not sure who the other rider was involved in that.
02:25Byrne leads the way.
02:26Turner to the inside.
02:28Has made the pass straight away.
02:30Picking up exactly where he left off last night.
02:33And he would be completely unaware of the chaos that's gone on behind him.
02:37He is looking very comfortable and good at the moment.
02:40Here you see a big mistake from the other.
02:42Here you see a couple guys doubling.
02:44There's a guy tripled in the middle.
02:45Triple.
02:45Oh, it just fully gets landed on.
02:48Ouch.
02:48Good to see that.
02:50Wow, big moment.
02:51The rider that got landed on did jump up, though, and get off the track.
02:57That is Byrne.
02:58They're trying to get that bike stopped.
02:59It looked like that thing is wide open still.
03:02That's been that way for an entire lap.
03:05They try to drag that bike off.
03:07So the red-white cross flag means that the riders have to roll through there.
03:11Medical is assisting to the riders.
03:14And we have some of the best medical in the world here with RaceSafe.
03:18As the rear wheel loses traction for Lux Turner leading the way.
03:23But that pay, my pay now, whole shot award going to Caleb Barham as he snuck around the inside on that 16 machine.
03:30Yeah, great start for Barham out front.
03:32But even better riding from Lux Turner.
03:35This is what championships are made of right here, Lux.
03:38It's no accident that he got through that first turn.
03:41I really believe that you make your own luck in this sport.
03:44And Lux was able to get to that first turn.
03:46Really up in the front group.
03:49Left the chaos to everybody else.
03:50This is a big mistake.
03:51Is that Ferguson right there?
03:52Yeah, that's Ferguson who was there in fourth place.
03:56He had himself such a better start to the night and finds another mistake right there.
04:01Still looking like he's struggling a little bit there.
04:042-2-2.
04:05Not sure what happened because he's extremely comfortable.
04:09As we see the 44 off to the side of the track there.
04:12That is Constantino.
04:13And let's keep an eye on the left here.
04:15The order on the left to see exactly where McElrath, last time across the sector,
04:20there is Ferguson in the background down again.
04:23So it's only going from bad to worse.
04:25I was saying that McElrath was in ninth, crossing the finish line there.
04:30He is now in seventh place on the charge towards the front.
04:34But there is a massive gap in front of him.
04:36That's a lot of work.
04:37Yeah, there's a big gap between third, Ryder Kingsford, and fourth, Wilson Todd.
04:41Then you have Virtual Cannon.
04:43Then you have McElrath in seventh.
04:44He's 11 seconds behind this man right here.
04:47Lux Turner out front.
04:49There's his teammate.
04:50We started the show talking about how great Ryder Kingsford has been and was yesterday as well.
04:55The teammates one and two right now.
04:57Kingsford is in a hurry as he gets past Parham and sets the sights on Turner in front of him.
05:04We saw last night a couple of times a little bit of blue paint shared between the two bikes
05:10as these two riders really pushed hard for those final results in one of those races.
05:16Will we see the same again if Kingsford is able to close down that gap?
05:21Here is McElrath on the charge.
05:23McElrath trying to get around these guys right here.
05:26You have Cannon and Virtual.
05:27He needs to be smart right here.
05:29These are where your veteran moves right here can pay dividends and be a positive.
05:34Where if you start to rush it, which you would want to do, you just can't,
05:38especially with these track conditions.
05:40He needs to pick his spot and get around these guys clean.
05:44To the inside, a better run across that rhythm.
05:47McElrath was right there.
05:48Good run in the roof, but he's to the outside.
05:50Does he square it up again?
05:51We've seen this move so many times.
05:53If he doesn't get the pass made, squares it to the inside here and finds a line through.
05:59Good run out of that turn.
06:00Man, that was quick.
06:01I love that line right there.
06:02I've seen Cedric Sabaris do it on his fast lap in qualifying earlier today,
06:06and I'm actually really surprised that not more racers are taking that line
06:10because you can see McElrath.
06:11It was two bike lengths, Sammy.
06:13Two bike lengths in one corner.
06:14You were trying to look for small little tents out there.
06:17You can get a few tents in that one turn.
06:18It's easy to find yourself out wide, not thinking about those lines, getting into a bit of a rut and not exploring the track.
06:26Well, McElrath is being forced to look around as he makes his way through the field.
06:31Sits behind Jake Cannon at the moment.
06:33As we see on that leaderboard, it is still a bit of a gap between first and second, third a little bit further back.
06:39And then this battle that is going on between Cannon and fifth, McElrath and sixth.
06:45Interestingly, though, I don't know, Cannon, I mean, sorry, McElrath didn't even think to go to the inside again.
06:49Yeah, a lot of the racers have it as he gets up the inside.
06:52Aggressive move, just runs Cannon out of track.
06:54That was a solid move right there.
06:56Absolutely beautiful line.
06:57He squeezed out that position and allowed no room for Cannon to come back.
07:02Here it is again.
07:03Nice setup, straight from the landing.
07:06Just very forceful, but nothing dirty about that at all.
07:09It was a great move to sit up one more position.
07:12Absolutely.
07:13Cannon, that you can tell, was on the brakes.
07:14He was kind of sliding, went a little bit too hot in there, where McElrath got off the brakes, kind of accelerated in there, and just ran him out of track.
07:21Looking at the lead lap times of our leaders the last time around.
07:26Well, in fact, they matched the times.
07:27The lap before, it was Kingsford that was about six-tenths of a second faster.
07:32However, Turner has turned it back up right now.
07:35He continues to lead this one.
07:37The last lap board is now out, so any charge has been left way too late for our second-place rider,
07:43as Lux Turner flies over the triple for the last time in final number one of SX2.
07:50So smooth through that rhythm section, into the right-hander here.
07:54Looks so good in these whoops as well.
07:56I'm so impressed with the 20-year-old Lux Turner.
07:58Had a great ride at the last SMX playoff round there in America and Las Vegas,
08:03and he is carrying that momentum here to Australia.
08:06He did it last night in round number one.
08:08He's going to open up round number two with another win.
08:11Lux Turner, a very dominant victory here.
08:16McElrath, after going down in turn one,
08:19rides it to the checkered flag.
08:21He will only get fifth place,
08:23but that there is a very strong performance
08:25as he shakes his head coming across that line.
08:30Sure, just disappointed, you know.
08:31Shane gets out front, gets some track position.
08:34He can absolutely run with Lux Turner, potentially beat him.
08:36Lux is riding incredible right now,
08:38but Shane just wants to give himself a chance.
08:39Get out there, get track position, and do what he can.
08:43Looked like Lux Turner was having some problems getting that bike started once again.
08:46Just very hard to start these bikes when they're hot,
08:49so up and going, I'm sure, as we'll get an interview with him
08:52as we see the official DeWalt SX2 final one results.
08:56Lux Turner, the winner.
08:57Rider Kingsford, Barham, Todd, very quietly there in fourth place.
09:02McElrath worked his way through to fifth.
09:04Jake Cannon, Seth Birch, or Reese Budd?
09:06Jace Cosford there in seventh.
09:08Alex Larwood and Tiger Woods, your 11th place rider.
09:12Let's head down to Trent, who I'm sure is with a very happy Lux Turner.
09:16Yeah, Lux Turner.
