Incline Bench Dumbbell Chest Press

How to perform

Exercise Description

1. Start seated on the edge of an incline bench with the dumbbells resting on your knees with a hammer grip.
2. In a swift movement raise your knees one at a time, pushing the dumbbells up, bringing the dumbbells into an incline chest press starting position, and keep your feet flat on the floor with knees bent.
3. Extend your arms and push the weight up.
4. Lower the weight slowly and repeat.

Exercise Tips
1. Maintain a straight back, supported by the bench.
2. Keep your wrists straight.
3. Exhale when you push the weight; inhale when you lower the weight.
4. Avoid locking out your elbows as you extend your arms.
5. Keep your shoulders pinched throughout the movement.
6. Avoid looking up at the dumbbells.
7. Focus on pushing the weight with your upper chest muscles.

Spotting Tips
1. Stand behind your partner and help them slowly if they struggle.
2. Lift from the elbows, not the wrists.
3. Abandon the dumbbells by lowering them gently to the floor if your partner gets stuck.
