00:00Hello, very good day to you. Lots of grey, cloudy weather to come as we go through the rest of today, similar to what we saw yesterday really.
00:07But there will be some sunshine breaking through and the winds are generally light and it's largely dry for most of us because high pressure still firmly in control.
00:16I say it's largely dry. Worth bearing in mind there will be a little bit of rain here and there around Caithness, Sutherland, perhaps pushing into parts of Aberdeenshire and also a few outbreaks of rain maybe around coastal parts of East Anglia and Kent.
00:28Otherwise, a dry story, but yes, a pretty grey and cloudy one for many of us, the exception being across some central areas of Scotland where there's some decent breaks here, some sunshine breaking through and also across Shetland in particular, also quite sunny.
00:42Otherwise, lots of cloud and under that cloud, temperatures are going to be a little bit peg backed.
00:47I mean, on paper, they're around average for the time of year, but always feeling cooler under that cloud compared to where we see that sunshine breaking through where it should feel that bit warmer.
00:56Then, as we go through this evening, not a huge amount changes particularly quickly, so quite grave for many of us to end the day.
01:04But the cloud will break up a little bit overnight, particularly across parts of Wales, western parts of Wales especially.
01:09And there will be some clearer breaks overnight across some parts of northern England too.
01:14Also, a little bit more rain across far northern and eastern parts of Scotland, some parts of east and southeastern England, and perhaps a few outbreaks of rain pushing into parts of the southwest, otherwise largely dry.
01:25But when it comes to how chilly it's going to get, well, the cloud really plays an important role.
01:30Where we get the clear spells over parts of Wales and parts of Scotland, for example, we could see temperatures very close to freezing.
01:37And so a touch of frost not out of question, and even a few patches of mist and fog elsewhere with the blanket of cloud, temperatures for many holding up in the high single figures or perhaps even low double digits in a few places.
01:50So then tomorrow's looking similar to today really, quite cloudy for many, but perhaps a bit more brightness, a bit more sunshine here and there across some parts of northern England, parts of Wales, southwest England as well.
02:02Maybe even northern Ireland seeing some brighter breaks at times.
02:05Otherwise, quite cloudy.
02:06And again, a few spots of rain here and there, eastern parts of Scotland, again east and southeastern England, and also across parts of southwest England.
02:14And it could be a little damp at times, but generally dry, generally light winds, but once again under the cloud, feeling a bit cool despite the light winds.
02:21If you get some sunshine, though, just feeling that bit warmer as you would expect.
02:25Then as we go into this weekend, well, Saturday is looking fairly similar to, well, today and tomorrow, to be honest, albeit some rain starting to push in across parts of northern Ireland later.
02:36And we are then going to see that wetter, windier weather feeding its way in across many parts as we go through Sunday.
02:41So Saturday definitely looks like the drier day for many of us as we go through this weekend, albeit quite cloudy.
02:47And the unsettled weather, well, it's going to be mainly across parts of the north and west.
02:52So similar to what we've seen through recent weeks, through recent months, really, the wettest weather will be across northern and western areas.
02:59There's less rain across parts of the south and east, which is where many places are actually still crying out for some rain after all the dry weather that we've had.
03:07But I'll be bringing you more up to dates later on, so make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel and then you'll never miss an update.
03:13Bye-bye.
