00:00Hello, very good morning to you. Quite a mixed bag weather-wise across the UK through today.
00:05In the southeast, it's going to be often bright and very warm, if not hot.
00:10Further north and west, it's a cloudier, wetter picture.
00:13That's because there's low pressure to the northwest of the UK.
00:15That's going to be lurking here through much of the week.
00:18So yes, across Scotland through today, quite cloudy, outbreaks of rain.
00:22Similar across northern England, northern Ireland, some western parts of England perhaps,
00:26and also much of Wales. A bit of rain pushing through here and there.
00:29And then some more persistent rain perhaps arriving to western Wales later this afternoon.
00:33Meanwhile, across central, southern, eastern England, actually it's looking like a largely fine day.
00:38Not wall-to-wall sunshine. There could be some high-level cloud turning the sunshine a bit hazy.
00:43But generally, it's going to be quite bright here.
00:46And here, temperatures are going to rise mid to high 20 Celsius.
00:49That kind of thing. Further north and west, a fair bit fresher. High teens, low 20s.
00:54Now, with the hot air across parts of the southeast, the generally fine weather here,
00:58I'm expecting pollen levels to get to the very high level in some places.
01:03And it is grass pollen season at the moment, which is what affects the majority of hay fever sufferers.
01:08So really, some difficult conditions out there through this week.
01:11Elsewhere, where you have outbreaks of rain coming through,
01:13they may dampen, lower those levels a little bit.
01:16But generally, levels are going to be on the high side for most of us.
01:20Overnight, more persistent rain for a time across parts of Wales.
01:23Further outbreaks of, at times, heavy persistent rain feeding north and eastwards across many areas.
01:29Southeastern parts staying a little bit dry, perhaps.
01:32But even here, a few outbreaks of rain can't be ruled out.
01:34And then something heavier, more persistent rain-wise,
01:37spilling into parts of the southwest Devon and Cornwall,
01:39maybe the far south of Wales, as we head towards dawn on Wednesday morning.
01:43Temperatures aren't going to drop a huge amount.
01:46We have warm air across us.
01:48There's a big blanket of cloud.
01:49So for many, we're going to stay low to mid-teens.
01:52Some places may just about drop into single digits.
01:56But yeah, particularly mild night for many.
01:58That rain in the southwest pushes further eastwards as we go through Wednesday.
02:04It is going to be quite heavy, a bit persistent across some central southern parts of England
02:07before it clears away towards the east.
02:09And then just a few outbreaks of rain following in behind.
02:12Showery bursts of rain for elsewhere, really, across Scotland, Northern Ireland.
02:16Some showers for parts of northern England.
02:18There will be some brighter breaks in between those showers.
02:21But again, it is going to be fairly cloudy at times through tomorrow.
02:24The temperatures in the southeast down a degree or so for many places here
02:28because there's that rain pushing through.
02:29So it won't be as hot as it will be today.
02:32Elsewhere, they're looking fairly similar.
02:34Again, high teens, low 20s.
02:36There is some hotter weather to come through this week.
02:39Temperatures rising particularly towards the southeast.
02:41To find out more about that, well, check out our deep dive,
02:44which we'll be bringing to you later on this afternoon.
02:47See you again soon.
02:47Bye-bye.
