00:00And let's flip it over to the NFL.
00:01Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
00:03Aaron Rodgers, Joe Flacco, Thursday night football.
00:06And a favorite for the road team.
00:07The Pittsburgh Steelers at five and a half.
00:09The total listed at 42 and a half.
00:11Flacco, start number two.
00:12Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers in first place.
00:15The spread line for this game, Joe, is what?
00:18Yeah, well, the look ahead line here, Donnie, we saw three and a half, four, four and a half.
00:24So we've seen a little bit of an adjustment here for the road team on a short week.
00:30The problem here, Donnie, is that keep in mind, the one knock on Tomlin over the years has been what?
00:36He's against the impossible game where he's a dog or where he's playing the better team.
00:42Steelers show up.
00:43The Steelers never show up when they are exactly this in no man's land at five, five and a half.
00:49Because even the books know, good luck here, because this is exactly where the Steelers over the years under Tomlin let one slip away.
00:59And I would not be shocked if they let this one slip away.
01:03Woo!
01:04Calling your shot, Joe Ranieri.
01:05How about this one?
01:06We're going overseas again.
01:08Los Angeles Rams taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
01:11The home of the Jaguars is over there in London.
01:14Total, dropping, Joe, 47 and a half at the opening number.
01:16We're now seeing 44 and a halves now.
01:19And a side on this one opened up at three and a half, now dipping below to that minus three number across the board.
01:25Rams and the Jaguars.
01:26The spread line for this game, Joe, is what?
01:29Well, I mean, Jacksonville, we all know, very familiar with playing in London.
01:34And, I mean, for the most part, this is London's home team, because they've seen this team more often over the last decade than they've seen anything else.
01:42They did lose that game to the Seahawks last time out.
01:46But I haven't seen a big adjustment with this number.
01:49The three and a halves, some threes maybe.
01:52I would not be shocked if this starts coming in on Jacksonville before kickoff and two and a halves become available.
02:00So, if you like Jacksonville, wait.
02:02I think you'll get under a field goal.
02:04Keep an eye on Puka Nakua, too, with that ankle injury could play into this game here.
02:08We got more NFL news and notes coming up next, right here on the Sports Grid Network.
02:12This is the Early Live.
02:14Eminem on Santa's all night went this way.
02:16Guess who's back?
02:18Back again.
02:20Rasheed Rice is back.
02:22Tell a friend.
02:22He's back, Joe.
02:23Rasheed Rice back to the Kansas City Chiefs.
02:25He's the wide receiving core, like Voltron, joining together as an elite force at just the right time.
02:33This could be a big boon to that offense now healthy at the wide receiver position.
02:37What gives now for the Kansas City Chiefs?
02:39How excited is Patrick Mahomes now?
02:42He should be very excited.
02:44And listen, this is kind of exactly the point that they were hoping to get at, is that, you know, keep your head above water.
02:51They didn't expect to lose, you know, Worthy like they did early on.
02:56They thought they could hold the fourth down.
02:57But then when they lost him, and boy, oh, boy.
03:00I mean, the good news is once they did that, right, Donnie?
03:03I mean, once they lost Worthy and then ended up losing a game, boy, the whole world, the value that we were able to get on Kansas City is now gone.
03:12You're not going to be able to get any value on Kansas City anymore.
03:16And you look at this game coming up against a Lions team that is going to be absolutely decimated, is already decimated in the secondary.
03:25Yeah, this could be a very long, long day for the Lions coming up.
03:31Now, why would it be a long day for the Lions coming up, though?
03:36You know what I mean?
03:37Come on now.
03:37You like that.
03:38Yeah.
03:38I mean, no, no.
03:39Not long.
03:40No, I'm sorry.
03:40They're not gagging.
03:41But, yeah, they're already going to do that.
03:43I'm still – you know what it is, Donnie, is I'm laughing because I'm still laughing about how many people had absolutely –
03:50everybody thought Detroit was going to be what the Lions are about to show them that they are –
03:55the Chiefs are about to show them they are.
03:58Who's the best offense in the National Football League right now?
04:01That's good.
04:02Look, we need a running game for Kansas City now.
04:03That's what we're ready for now, Joe.
04:05We need that.
04:05Like, Patrick Mahomes got the wide receivers going, Travis Kelsey.
04:08And, by the way, it is an 11-and-a-half point line for Las Vegas.
04:12Boy, they enjoyed the Titans game, right?
04:13They ain't going to enjoy this game in Kansas City when all outlets are firing a total, Joe, of 45-and-a-half and 11-and-a-half number.
04:20Now, the one thing we know about the Chiefs, even when the Chiefs were riding high as, you know, the best team in the NFL record-wise,
04:27they never cover spreads.
04:28Now we're back in business like, oh, this is two touchdowns in the division they're going to cover.
04:33I can't stand Las Vegas, but I look at that line and be like, man, people must be buying back in on the Chiefs, Joe.
04:41Why?
04:41You knew it, Donnie.
04:42I mean, the ability to be able to get the Chiefs in any value has now come and gone here.
04:48And you were, you know, hoping maybe, just maybe, that you'd be able to squeeze another week or two out here with Rice.
04:55But they are not going to have a problem slotting him back in there.
04:59And my argument would be, why do you need a running game when the short passing game for them will be just as deadly as a running game?
05:08Because now you've got to pick your – you've got two guys who can stretch the field.
05:11You can't cover everybody.
05:13There might be a lot of screens and a lot of, you know, quick dump-offs that work just as well as the running game for Kansas City.
05:20They will be the best offense.
05:22And I can make the argument that since they got Worthy back, Donnie, they have been the best offense in the National Football League.
05:30Sometimes it's a you problem and not a they problem.
05:33You say, what are you talking about, Donnie?
05:34C.J. Gardner-Johnson was with the New Orleans Saints, traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, then went to the Detroit Lions, then came back to the Eagles and won a Super Bowl, then got traded right after the Super Bowl to the Houston Texans.
05:46The Texans are like, I don't want this guy around here.
05:48Let's cut him.
05:49All right, let's go to the Ravens, a perfect fit because the Ravens are injured across the board.
05:52And the Ravens are like, yeah, we're good.
05:55C.J. G.J. on the market again.
05:59How bad an individual and a cancer in a locker room do you have to be, Donnie?
06:04I mean, honest – and it's not like the guy doesn't have talent, which is why he keeps getting these opportunities.
06:10But how bad an individual do you have to be that every team is like, wow, you just are – you're not worth it.
06:17And he's got a championship pedigree, which makes it even worse.
06:21Unbelievable.
06:22A defense that can't stop – and also, like, Houston's defense is really good.
06:26Like, they couldn't even mask him in the secondary, which says something.
06:29Then he goes to the Ravens, who are just looking for live active bodies.
06:32Hey, look, we got a safe that had started to won a Super Bowl here.
06:34Yeah, let's cut him.
06:35Let's go pick up a seventh-round walk-on guy somewhere and put him.
06:39Joe, we're not even talking active roster.
06:41Practice squad.
06:41He doesn't even make the practice squad, Joe.
06:43So, it's amazing to me, Donnie.
06:46The fall from grace here with this guy, which what could have been, is beyond me.
06:51Absolutely beyond.
06:52But you know what?
06:53He'll still – I guarantee you – he'll still land on our roster before the end of the season.
06:58All right, ready for this one.
07:00Jerry Jones says he's open to making a defensive trade to help the worst defense in the NFL.
07:05You had the best defensive player, arguably, in the NFL before the season started,
07:09but you got Kenny Clark.
07:10How's Kenny Clark working out for you down there, Jerry?
07:14Gardner Johnson, maybe, on his way to the Cowboy uniform?
07:17Could very well be here.
07:18Why not?
07:19Anything to help your – anything to help your defense over there.
07:22But – and it's a shame because this could have been the coming-out party for Dak this year, but not now.
07:29Yeah.
07:29By the way, Yamamoto could probably play the secondary for the Dallas Cowboys.
07:33He'll be just fine.
07:34We love the NFL.
07:36You know we love the NFL.
07:37And tomorrow night, the NFL is back in our lives with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals.
07:41It's on the right side.
07:42It's Joe Ranieri.
07:42It's a Sports Grid Network.
07:44How about the playoff picture, Joe?
07:46This will shock some people out here because the struggles of the Philadelphia Eagles, the Baltimore Ravens,
07:50and now it looks like the, you know, the Buffalo Bills at this point, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
07:55Did you know if the season ended today, the Buccaneers and the Colts would be the number one seed here?
08:01And I look at that wild card round, specifically in the AFC on this graphic, Broncos, Steelers, Jaguars, Chargers, Bills, Patriots.
08:13Chiefs aren't even in the playoffs, Joe, if the season ended today.
08:18How crazy is that sound?
08:19And on the other side there, you got the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth seed.
08:21It pains my heart right now.
08:23Just upsetting because the Eagles did beat the Buccaneers.
08:25The Eagles did beat the seven-seeded Rams right here.
08:27Crazy times in the NFL, but it is a week-to-week league, but it does seem like, Joe, the heavyweights getting punched by the underdogs to start this season, huh?
08:36Well, it's a good thing for Kansas City and others, Donnie, that the season isn't six weeks.
08:42I mean, thank goodness for that because how many of those teams, I have a question,
08:48how many of those teams on that list currently are going to be on that list come the end of December, early January, Donnie?
08:55How many of those teams will actually be in the postseason?
08:58There is a lot, I think, that can change over the next couple of months here.
09:03So, and Indiana, I mean, the Indianapolis, congratulations, but the idea that you're going to be the number one seed, I can't see it, Donnie.
09:12I just can't see it.
09:13Daniel Jones and the Colts and Shane Steichen, the number one overall seed.
09:17My goodness here, can we go on?
09:19But again, we're basically at that, like, quarter poll-ish, so a lot to be determined over the next couple months.
09:24And it looks like from the NFL stake, a lot more injuries are probably going to determine who's going to get that top seed here.
09:29But I'll tell you one game that we are looking at injuries here, and that's for the quarterback position.
09:33Who's going to be quarterback?
09:34Is it Carson Wentz or is it J.J. McCarthy, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings?
09:38The Eagles are a favorite in this game.
09:40Now, they probably should be because the Vikings, if they have Carson Wentz, doesn't really add up.
09:44But there's something wrong with the Philadelphia Eagles.
09:46And understand this, the Eagles are coming into this football game banged up.
09:50Because if you look at the secondary, which was supposed to be a strength coming in with all that young talent,
09:55Quinny on Mitchell's down.
09:56He's your true number one outside quarterback.
09:58Cooper DeGene is fantastic.
09:59But that third quarterback spot opens up a lot.
10:02And you know Kevin O'Connell is going to scheme.
10:04So he has Justin Jefferson on your third corner repeatedly in this football game.
10:0943.5 is a total.
10:11I would usually look at this, but, man, the Eagles are going to finally get right.
10:13They're going to hammer away.
10:14They had a little bit of extra break.
10:15Like, they were so porous against the Giants team.
10:19I don't know what to expect to you, Joe.
10:20What do you expect?
10:23It's kind of hard, Donny, because, you know, when you look at some of these numbers and the trends here with Jalen Hurts and the Eagles,
10:31you know, it's not like they are a great bounce-back team anyway.
10:34I think Jalen Hurts, 22 games as an Eagles starting quarterback were coming off a loss.
10:40Yeah, just 10 and 11 straight up, 7 and 14 against the number in those games, Donny.
10:45They're not exactly the bounce-back type.
10:48They're much better once they get on a roll than they are with trying to stop this.
10:53I mean, two games in a row, Donny.
10:55Who'd have thunk it here?
10:57I just don't see where the offense is coming in this game.
10:59Please help me.
11:00How are either of these teams, given what we have seen?
11:03And we know Flores and that defense of Minnesota, they had a little time to lick their wounds here.
11:09They're healthier now.
11:11That is not the team you want to turn your offense around, that defense.
11:15So, to me, I think an under is well in play in this game.
11:20Yeah, you take a look also at the Philadelphia Eagles, the interior part of the offensive line.
11:24Like, boy, Saquon Barkley can't get any room to run.
11:26Well, last year you had a healthy Landon Dickerson, an absolute road grader.
11:29Makai Becton, like a mountain-moving people, and Juergens was completely healthy.
11:34Juergens has been banged up.
11:35Landon Dickerson's been out of the lineup, and Makai Becton is on another football team here.
11:39That's where the struggles are coming in.
11:40And you know Brian Flores and that team.
11:42They know the struggles as well, and they're going to bring pressure after pressure after pressure package
11:46coming after Jalen Hurts, something to watch out for.
11:49First time in a long time.
11:50I'm almost not excited to watch an Eagles game.
11:52Hopefully they can turn it around.
11:53We'll see.
11:53How about over in London turning it around here?
11:55The Jacksonville Jaguars trying to get back into the win column after losing a game to the Seattle Seahawks.
12:00The Los Angeles Rams, they basically had a day off against that offense for the Baltimore Ravens.
12:06Their favorite at minus three, Pukun Okua.
12:08Not sure if he's going to show up and be at the starting gate, but the Rams and the Jaguars.
12:11Three-point line, Joe, right now.
12:14Yeah, and McVay's actually had some success taking his teams overseas.
12:18I think he's gone.
12:19He's done it twice now, and the team has won both games and covered.
12:24And get this, they've won by a combined score of 57-10 in both of those games.
12:31So, you know, they're used to it.
12:33It should be good to go.
12:35However, nobody is more used to playing overseas than the Jags, Dottie.
12:40You remember the rumors a couple of years back where they were just going to move the game?
12:43They were going to—that was it.
12:45That was going to be their home place.
12:46And then they saw Trevor Lawrence actually play, and they're like, yeah, no, we don't want—we don't want that here.
12:54But the bottom line is, do we trust this Jags team to—yeah, it's a home game overseas,
13:00but do we trust them to bounce back here against this defense of the Rams?
13:06I don't know that we do.
13:07It feels like the Rams got a pretty good opportunity in this game to handle business.
13:13We'll see who gets there.
13:14And again, we'll keep our eyes on Pukun Okua to see what happens here.
13:16Next game we're going to talk about, Joe, we've been in the handicapping business a long time.
13:21This is going to be a fascinating one to watch you play out.
13:24It's New England and Tennessee, and you might be like, what's so fascinating about that?
13:26It's a touchdown spread.
13:28Tennessee is a really bad football team.
13:30Tennessee fired their head coach, but also third straight road game for the New England Patriots.
13:36That's a real thing in the NFL.
13:37It doesn't happen all that much, and the numbers to support a team going on the road for the third straight game,
13:42that's tough.
13:43Specifically, Joe, when they won the first, a win at Buffalo, go on the road, and a win at New Orleans.
13:49Now you go on the road and take on Tennessee.
13:51Tennessee is bad.
13:52That line is seven.
13:53The public is lining up 75% of the tickets roughly coming in on the New England Patriots, Joe.
13:58This is an unbelievable pros versus Joe spot.
14:02But can you hold your nose enough to even take the Tennessee Titans?
14:05Well, let's go back.
14:07I think Callahan now the 23rd coach to be fired, right, in season.
14:12If you go back to the 22 teams that fired their coach in season prior, what was that first game?
14:19Did they get that coach bounce back, fired thing?
14:22How about 10 and 12 straight up and 11 and 11 against the spread in that next game?
14:28And they weren't very good at home, four and five against the, five and four against the number, and four and five straight up.
14:35It's a coin flip.
14:36It's crazy to watch this because, again, you look at that seven.
14:40I don't want to go anywhere near that seven, but also at the same time, you're sort of fighting back what you think is actually going to happen.
14:46More NFL news and notes on the way, including the Battle of the Ones coming up.
14:51It's like Thanksgiving football in your backyard, people.
14:54Find out who we're talking about next.
14:55The old-timers game.
14:56You see it across the board here sometimes.
14:58Maybe the most famous is the New York Yankees.
15:00Bring the old-timers back here.
15:01Have them play a game here.
15:02And we can all bask in the sunlight of what used to happen when these guys were actually professional athletes.
15:07We're getting a little bit of that taste here on a Thursday night game.
15:10It's Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
15:11It's Aaron Rodgers and it's Joe Flacco.
15:14Two old-timers here.
15:15Here's Aaron Rodgers talking about what it means to be an old-timer playing Joe Flacco.
15:20Oldest quarterbacks playing this week.
15:22Let's go.
15:24Icing hot ball.
15:25I love it.
15:26All right.
15:27We'll open it up for questions here.
15:28We're in the media.
15:29Aaron, what do you think about maybe the novelty of two 40-old quarterbacks going against each other?
15:3640-plus quarterbacks.
15:41There we go.
15:41Get that right there.
15:42Come on, Bert.
15:43You got it.
15:44There we go.
15:45The novelty?
15:46Yeah, I think it's great for all the old guys.
15:50I know that when I watch other sports, maybe it's because I'm the older guy, but I tend to pull for the older guys to win, to win championships.
16:02I've been friends with Steph for a long time.
16:03Steph is one of the older guys in the NBA now.
16:06So any time the Warriors are playing, I'm always pulling for Steph to ball out for them to win.
16:11But it's great.
16:12I mean, I've known Joe for a long time.
16:14He's been great coming to my charity event.
16:19He's been a great ambassador for the league.
16:20He's had a great career.
16:22And it's fun that we're both still playing.
16:25Get immunized, people.
16:26The Unks are playing.
16:28Flacco and Rodgers, Thursday night football, favorite on the road for the Steelers here.
16:32Looks like Aaron Rodgers.
16:33Real chippy.
16:33I mean, he seems pretty chippy in that interview, huh?
16:36Well, he should be, right?
16:39Team's sitting at what?
16:40Four and one straight off?
16:41I mean, they're in first place.
16:43They're in control of the division.
16:45I mean, it's amazing what happens.
16:47I mean, Aaron Rodgers was the devil in the Jets organization, remember?
16:52But now, all of a sudden, we don't hear anything.
16:54He's out here giving politically correct answers.
16:57Everyone's yucking it up.
16:59So, you know, now you don't know what to believe here.
17:02But I do know this.
17:03Tomlin, over the years, when he's supposed to win, that's when things go off the rails for
17:09Pittsburgh.
17:09And that number at five, five and a half would scare me.
17:13I wouldn't be running to the window to back either 40-year-old, to be completely honest.
17:19Yeah, Thursday night games sometimes tend to be tricky at this point.
17:22But also, what are we actually getting still out of that Bengals offense?
17:25Understand this for the Cincinnati Bengals.
17:27Beat the Browns opening day.
17:28Beat the Jaguars game number two.
17:30Joe Flacco inserted into the lineup.
17:32And, you know, you move around and you have, you know, Jake Browning in the lineup.
17:36You have four straight losses.
17:3848-10, 28-3, 37-24, and 27-18.
17:42If you look at the last game here that Joe Flacco played, he sort of rushed in there through
17:4545 times, two touchdown passes, but only 219 yards.
17:49Pretty good defense for the Packers.
17:51Pretty good defense here for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
17:53But, Joe, what is your expectations on Thursday night for game number two for Flacco?
17:57Is it a little bit easier for him here, or are they just going to bring that pressure?
18:01Because the one thing we know about Flacco, he doesn't move all that well, and that's
18:03a pretty good pass rush for Pittsburgh.
18:06It is.
18:07But, you know, I think it probably favors Cincinnati to get, you know, keep rolling out there.
18:13Just keep going, because I think they finally, you know, even though they didn't win in Green
18:18Bay, Donnie, I thought they showed that, all right, you can run the ball.
18:22And Flacco was doing what Browning couldn't do.
18:25He was getting the ball to his best targets, you know, two of the guys, Higgins and Chase.
18:32He was giving them a chance to make a play and do something with the ball.
18:36Everybody knew who he was throwing it to, but you know what?
18:38He put it on target, on time, and good things happen.
18:42So, if I'm Cincinnati, I'm all right.
18:45Just keep rolling out.
18:46Keep doing the same thing.
18:47Get the repetition in there.
18:49Ultimately, you only win this game if your defense makes enough plays against Aaron Rodgers
18:53and company.
18:54So, that's what's going to decide the game.
18:57I'll tell you what's interesting, too.
18:58You look at Flacco's passing prop number 238 and a half.
19:01It's like, ooh, I don't know if he'd get, but understand this.
19:03Cincinnati cannot run the football.
19:04I don't care what defense it is, how good the defense is, how bad the defense is.
19:07It's going to be all on the arm of Joe Flacco.
19:10So, if you feel they can be competitive in this game, trust me right now.
19:13Flacco throwing for 179 yards in this game.
19:15They're not going to win this game or be close to within a possession of it.
19:19He's going to have to heat it up on the outside, 250-plus here for Flacco, because he just
19:22might throw it again, Joe, 45-plus times in this game.
19:26The touchdown scoring market, only one guy, Joe.
19:29They have to pay juice on it.
19:30It's Jalen Warren starting running back here for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
19:33Chase Brown, Jamar Chase, DK Metcalf, Kane Fganwell, all plus money props in this game.
19:38Any shots that you're looking at right now early for possibly a touchdown guy?
19:41Well, to me, this is all going to be about guys that have the opportunity, right?
19:46And I'm telling you, Chase and Higgins are going to have plenty of opportunities to go
19:51out there and make a play, because chances are they're going to be trailing in this game
19:55at some point here, Donnie.
19:57So, I like the Cincinnati guys.
19:59Yeah, I'm interested to see.
20:00This game is tomorrow night here, favored on the road.
20:02I usually like to lean towards the home teams here.
20:04I think that no man's land, as Joe likes to say, is right, where that point spread is coming
20:08in.
20:08We'll see where it lands tomorrow.
20:10But our number two is coming up next.
20:12Get ready for the early lineup.
20:13Let's re-rack it and continue with all the great information that we have right here on
20:17the Sports Grid Network.
20:19Oh, the Bears with a big win in primetime action on the road to slay those demons of
20:24a year ago against the Washington Commanders, where they let that Hail Mary go through.
20:28And basically, everybody got fired and ruined the season for the Chicago Bears.
20:32Maybe they're back here.
20:33Maybe they are a playoff team.
20:35Maybe they got the right head coach in place.
20:37They're going to be at home this weekend to take on the New Orleans Saints.
20:40Saints, not a good football team.
20:41Saints are a dome football team coming out into the elements of Chicago.
20:45But are the Chicago Bears, Joe, ready to be favorites here of close to a touchdown?
20:49Line opened up at six and a half.
20:51You'll see the graphic that's going to pop up here in a moment at minus five and a half.
20:54Now, in a total of 47 and a half.
20:56Do I think Chicago is better than the New Orleans Saints?
20:58Yes, I do.
20:59But now we're at the point where the Bears, are we comfortable, Joe, taking them as a favorite
21:04over three points?
21:06Oh, look at that.
21:08Look at that line.
21:09It's another one of these no man lands lines, right?
21:11Five, five and a half.
21:13That is a dead number for the books because they're not giving you an edge one way or the
21:18other.
21:18They're going to wait until the market money comes in, and then they're going to start
21:21figuring out which way to push that.
21:24But listen, you got to give, you know, Kellen Moore and the Saints some credit here, Donnie.
21:28They have been, if nothing else, competitive throughout there.
21:32And I know the Patriots just beat them at home, but it wasn't like the Patriots ran them over
21:36and that game was over before it started.
21:39So, you know, they are, the Bears have to be careful.
21:43Do I trust them?
21:44Do I think they're heading in the right direction?
21:46Yes.
21:47I think that bye week, and I think what you just saw from them here on Monday night, I
21:51think things are heading in the right direction.
21:53Maybe Kellogg Williams is finally starting to figure it out.
21:56But this is the kind of game that would scare me because you and I both know that the Bears
22:01think, oh, all right, this is a piece of cake.
22:03We got this one.
22:04Yeah, that's when you get, I wouldn't be running to the window lane five, five and a
22:08half points with the Bears right now.
22:10I'll tell you that.
22:11I'll tell you, just keep an eye on this again.
22:13It's only Wednesday.
22:14Rain is in the forecast for this game, Joe, and winds sustained of at least 15 miles per
22:18hour.
22:18The Windy City could be in full effect here for a Dome team, which could hamper maybe that
22:23passing game.
22:23Just a little bit of food for those notes there for you.
22:26Green Bay and Arizona.
22:27Green Bay going on the road after a nice win there over the Cincinnati Bengals.
22:32Arizona fought really hard and actually had a chance to beat the Indianapolis Colts
22:35as we had a graphic up earlier that showed up the season of the day.
22:38The Colts will be the number one seed in the AFC.
22:41Here's the question we have.
22:42Not is Green Bay going to win their favorite show?
22:44Open up at four and a half.
22:45Sits at most outlets at six and a half right now.
22:48The total is at 44 and a half.
22:49The question is, who's going to be a quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals?
22:52And secondarily, does it even matter?
22:54Bursette was really good last week for the Cardinals, Joe.
22:58Well, what does that say about Kyler Murray?
23:01And what does that say about what's going on here?
23:04Because his contract's a lot easier to get rid of at the end of this year than it was
23:09prior to this year.
23:11So could we be seeing the end of the Kyler Murray era there in Arizona?
23:16This is not an easy trip.
23:17And here's the other problem, too.
23:19I mean, it's a little bit of a hole here for the Packers to head down to Arizona.
23:23But has anybody been impressed with the Packers here, Donnie?
23:27I mean, were you impressed with that Cincinnati game?
23:30Because I sure as heck wasn't there.
23:32And say what you want about Arizona.
23:34Backup quarterback and all.
23:36They went toe-to-toe with one of the AFC's best teams in Indy.
23:39You know, on the road.
23:41I don't care who the quarterback is.
23:44I have not seen enough from the Packers to believe that they should be laying nearly a touchdown
23:48against anybody right now.
23:50Did you ever hear this chant, Joe?
23:52When I say points, you say points.
23:54Points, points, points, points.
23:56Whoa!
23:57We could get it this weekend.
23:58The Washington Commanders on the road headed down to Jerry World to take on the Dallas Cowboys.
24:03This line opened up, Joe, 52 and a half.
24:05You're going to see the graphic pop up, 54 and a half.
24:08I'm also seeing other outlets, Joe, 55 and a half points.
24:13Slight favorite towards Washington.
24:15We always know this, Joe.
24:16We talked about this ad nauseum last week.
24:19Like, nobody's stopping anybody.
24:21Kansas City and Detroit.
24:22That game's going way over the total.
24:24Not so fast at that point.
24:26Are we setting ourselves up for the same thing?
24:28Or are both of these teams reaching 25 plus points and let you say a 31-28 final to get you over the total?
24:37Who did that song?
24:38Was that Big Daddy Kane?
24:40Let me see here if we can get.
24:42Oh, wow.
24:42The problem with trusting either of these two teams here is we know, I would say, offensively, we have much more faith in Dallas and Washington for that matter, right?
24:56Except Washington was very careless with the ball on Monday night, which is kind of what caused the collapse there against Chicago.
25:05I think they can clean that up here.
25:08I do think more than anything else, this is going to be one of these games where last one who has the ball is probably going to win.
25:16It feels like that kind of one-possession game.
25:19And right now, I have more faith in the Cowboys offense than I have on any unit in this game, defense, offense for Washington, special teams.
25:28Plus, they have the right kicker, I think the Cowboys do.
25:31So, I would lean towards them to get it done in this spot.
25:35Yeah, Debo banged up.
25:36We're probably not going to see McLaurin at this point.
25:37You also have that, you know, we played on Monday Night Football talking about the Washington Commanders.
25:42Dallas played on a Sunday.
25:43Now, Dallas did lose to a Carolina team that's now 3-3, but they do have a rest advantage by one day, and they're at home.
25:48And you're right about this.
25:49Across the 50-yard line, that field goal is good for the Dallas Cowboys.
25:53That's always a nice thing to have in your back pocket.
25:55But, man, 55.5 points is crazy high, and that's on the move from the opening numbers we talked about, 52.5.
26:02Monday Night Football, I know I'm going to have action this game because it just sets up well.
26:07It's a low 50s total.
26:08That's Tampa Bay and Detroit, and a favorite towards Detroit at minus 5.5.
26:11I always like betting on Detroit at home.
26:13They're a phenomenal dome football team.
26:15But here's the issue that we're worried about, Joe.
26:17When you look at trying to jump a number early in the week, like, hey, I don't want to see it get the 6 or 6.5,
26:21or I don't think it gets the 4.5.
26:22Let me take the 5.5 for the Bucs.
26:24We don't know who's playing here.
26:25Both of these teams heavily damaged, suspensions and injuries on both sides of the football.
26:31The one thing I look at for that Detroit offense, they're not injured.
26:33They're not going to be suspended.
26:34They should move it.
26:35But that defensive secondary is basically without everybody, it feels like this week.
26:39Make sure you keep an eye on some of those practice reports because, for me right now, this is a tough call
26:44because I don't even know who's playing in this game, Joe.
26:47Well, and here's the other problem.
26:49Another one of these 5, 5.5 lines, right, Donnie, that the books are thrown out there.
26:54They're telling you right there.
26:56This is wait to see.
26:57I mean, I would wait as long as possible.
26:59I do think the number will come back down towards Tampa Bay.
27:03So, if you are looking to take the points, I would take them now.
27:09If you think Detroit is the right side here, I would hold off as close to game time because that's secondary, Donnie, and the suspension, it's not going to get any better.
27:18Mahomes ripped them apart.
27:20He got whatever he wanted through the air.
27:23And what about Baker Mayfield and his passing attack of Tampa tells us they can't do the same.
27:28Nothing.
27:29So, yeah, I would hold off and wait to hear who's in and who's out for both sides here.
27:35Like, I feel like we're getting robbed, Joe.
27:36Like, you tell me Baker Mayfield's going to go into Detroit with Ibuka, with Mike Evans on the outside, and also Chris Godwin, and away you go.
27:44It's just a shame.
27:45But then again, it's Baker Mayfield.
27:47Give him three tight end sets out there with no wideouts, and the guy's moving up and down the field because that's just what Baker Mayfield does.
27:52Fun game to watch you play out, but a lot more time to prepare for that handicapping-wise because it's a Monday night game.
27:57Doubleheader on Monday night.
27:58Game number two, Joe.
28:00Pacific Northwest, Houston on the road to take on Seattle.
28:03A three-and-a-half-point favorite to a three-point favorite depending on where you're shopping for the home team.
28:07Seattle versus Houston.
28:09A total.
28:09It's really low at 40-and-a-half.
28:10Why?
28:11Because Houston's defense is really good.
28:12But, Joe, signs of life for the Houston offense.
28:16Could we get a sneaky total to the over here at a cheap price at 40-and-a-half?
28:21Well, I don't know.
28:23Sneaky offense.
28:24Who did they score against?
28:26Oh, yeah.
28:26Come on, Joe.
28:27They scored against an absolutely depleted and hobbled Ravens team.
28:33Absolutely not here.
28:35I mean, Seattle is shown.
28:36Now, here's the deal.
28:37Seattle, for whatever reason, under their new coach here, McDonald's, has been much better on the road, Donnie,
28:45than they have been at home with the 12th man here.
28:47So, the number feels about right.
28:51It feels like a field goal game.
28:53Ultimately, they got to get a little healthier on defense, that being Seattle here.
28:58But I would – I'm not stepping in front of how they're running the ball and how they're going.
29:02Can't trust the Texans at this point.
29:05Yeah, Jackson, Smith, and Jigba.
29:06That dude is shredding everybody he plays.
29:09We'll see what that defense has.
29:10The 12s certainly will be on fire.
29:12By the way, maybe a ripple effect with the Mariners playing their home games there.
29:16Seattle getting a home game here.
29:18That crowd is going to be absolutely on fire and certainly a lot of fun to watch.
29:22There's some really good spots in the NFL this weekend that we're going to watch out for.
29:25And as we already previewed, tomorrow night's Thursday night football game between the Pittsburgh Steelers
29:29and the Cincinnati Bengals kicks it all off.
