00:00So when that pressure really gets into that toe early in the right foot, does that stall your hip turn?
00:06Yeah, you don't have any leverage to push off, right?
00:09So that feeling I need to have initially off the ball is almost that the weight is more in the middle of my foot.
00:16So I have room to get into my heel.
00:19See, and I think this drill would help you.
00:21Hold on one second. I'm going to use a stick here.
00:24Watch. We'll do this.
00:26And if I put this on the ground...
00:28Now put your arches right in the middle of it, okay?
00:32So now you know, it's a little bit of an uneven.
00:35Now make a back swing. You want to feel the pressure as you turn your chest,
00:40wind straight down that stick so you can feel where it is, right?
00:44Now from that, go to the top.
00:46Now from there, just push off your right foot straight down that stick.
00:52Feel that?
00:53Yeah.
00:55Push straight down that...
00:57Yeah, that's sweet.
01:07You know, I saw Aaron Rye recently doing this drill, and he's a fantastic ball striker.
01:13And I couldn't figure out exactly what he was trying to accomplish with putting a stick in the middle of your feet.
01:19And I asked his caddy, and he said that he was working on just basic balance points.
01:24And now it kind of makes sense, because I really do feel that in the middle of my foot,
01:29I'm able to differentiate between when I'm getting too much into my toes right from the get-go.
01:36That's not 60%. I'm starting to feel pretty good.
01:45I'm kind of sending it a little bit.
01:47Wow, that looked amazing in that halfway down position in the downswing.
02:06My face looks so...
02:08I love that.
02:10Right?
02:10Club head's on top of the plane.
02:14Hips are getting wound better.
02:15And here's what I like.
02:17Look at the pressure in the whole foot.
02:19Uh-huh.
02:20Versus the first video.
02:21Look at everything's covered.
02:23Wow.
02:23Look at that.
02:24So that's...
02:25That was what I was feeling.
02:27Like, super toe heavy.
02:29And you just look...
02:31You just look at how much more you're pushing into the ground there.
02:36Uh-huh.
02:36Right?
02:37And then you look here how the pressure out of the top shoots a little more to the toe,
02:41whereas here it goes more straight across.
02:44Yep.
02:45Right?
02:45And I think for you, that's a big, big deal.
02:48What does that do to the handle when you go push more towards your front toes sooner in your downswing?
02:54Does it make you have to back up?
02:55Yeah, I think if you...
02:56So if you go too much to the toe, you know, if you get out into your toes,
03:01I mean, I don't think you've got leverage to push against the ground.
03:04And I think we start going that way.
03:06Mm-hmm.
03:07Whereas I think if you're wound into this right foot, then you're able to push off of it.
03:13And as I push off this foot, it makes my left hip go around.
03:17And then I can release my upper body green.
03:20Which is what you always did great.
03:22It's like, great, and you covered it with the trunk.
03:24Yes.
03:24I love this drill, though, with the club within, between my feet.
03:35I'd still, like, want to...
03:36I'll show you one more drill to help you with your trunk.
03:39Yep.
03:39So if you take...
03:41Pull this tight across your chest.
03:44There you go.
03:45Now, you want to just wind your rib cage back over your right,
03:50and you feel that pressure go down the slit.
03:52Feel that.
03:54Go back and suck.
03:55Like, keep this knee a hair climber.
03:57There you go.
03:58You feel that?
03:59Mm-hmm.
03:59I think that was probably the best one.
04:08I think that was probably the best one.
04:08I think that was probably the best one.
04:08I think that was probably the best one.
04:08I think that was probably the best one.
04:08I think that was probably the best one.
04:10I think that was probably the best one.
04:12I think that was probably the best one.
