00:00So it's not a perfect system by any means, because you really especially when you see these other the guys that finish in the top 30 year in, year out, they go and miss cuts in these in these full field events.
00:13You're just thinking to yourself like, man, well, how would they do an entire year with with full fields?
00:18You know, would they be able to make as many cuts as they do now?
00:22Because going from 70 to 50, when half the signature events are cuts and half aren't, it's a it's pretty easy to kind of freewheel your golf game, not not having to worry quite a quite as much about losing your card.
00:34Well, and I'd even love to really dive deep with the stats department on and this this is just a theory.
00:42This may not hold true, but just just looking at the composition of a four day no cut signature event where some of these guys earn lots of points,
00:50where if they just played, OK, Thursday, Friday, do they make a cut in a full field event or they kind of lost in the mix?
00:58And then you just go out. Yeah, you go line it up on moving day.
01:02Yeah. And then all of a sudden you there are less people you have to jump, right?
01:05They're only, you know, 70, 80 people in that field.
01:08So, you know, maybe you're you're in a place where you could have missed the cut and got zero points.
01:13All of a sudden you catapult up and you're getting way more points.
01:15And that's the kind of the bread and butter you're living off of to stay in this category.
01:19Now, you know, maybe you crunch the stats and that's not an issue at all.
01:23But these are just the types of things that the system is set up to query about.
01:27Right. Just to like is this, you know, how is this thing working?
01:30And again, and it may come back down to this is the way we want the system set up because we want we want to keep these guys in and around these events because they are superstars.
01:39They're the way we market the game.
01:41They're what we sell against from a television contract perspective.
01:44And that's a decision. Right.
01:46But it is one that is, you know, many would rightly say is kind of against the spirit of what the tour has been in the past.
