00:00Smiley, what are the worst or best superstitions you've heard that a tour pro has?

00:11The current one that I've seen is, this was actually one I wasn't expecting.

00:16This happened at the tour championship with Sahith Thigala with his group on Saturday.

00:23And this was a crazy day for him because as I'm walking down the first fairway, I'm just

00:29like, what's up, Sahith?

00:30It's like, sick fairway bunker shot, what'd you hit there?

00:33He's like, well, I hit a seven iron, but it says an eight.

00:38I'm like, what are you talking about?

00:40And Sahith is like, dude, last couple of weeks, I've been really struggling with my seven

00:45iron.

00:46I've been mishitting it, I've been fatting it.

00:48So I showed up to Eastlake this week and said, please, manufacturers, do anything to this

00:55seven iron, just don't put seven on it.

00:58Because I think mentally, every time I grab the seven iron, I am hitting bad shots.

01:03So just put eight iron on the top.

01:05So I was like, are you serious?

01:08And so I go back and I had to go look in his golf bag.

01:11And of course, what do I see?

01:13I see two eight irons in his golf bag.

01:16Call that a superstition, call that golfers just being mental cases that we are.

01:21But boy, I all day I was getting the sign for a seven iron that he was hitting.

01:26I was like, guys, this is a this is an eight iron, but it's the seven.

01:32So that was my best one.

01:34That is amazing.

01:36I saw that on the broadcast.

01:37I saw the picture that I don't know if you took this of his bag or someone else.

01:40Yeah.

01:41Where you got the two eights in there.

01:42And I don't know if I was watching without sound or something, but I was trying to make

01:45sense of it and wondering if maybe it was like a previous, you know, you know, all sorts

01:52of guys on tour.

01:53We'll have these combo sets where we're forgiving hours at the top.

01:55Oh, you'll see two foreigns.

01:56I've had two foreigns in my back before, and I got I got crap for it in college from all

02:00my teammates because one was a regular four and one from this big bulky ones that that

02:06go, you know, a little further.

02:08So that's what I that's what I thought.

02:09This was maybe, you know, it was like a split point in the set where he had like more of

02:13like a lady eight hour and he had more of a forgiving eight hour.

02:16I don't know.

02:17But that's amazing.

02:18He just didn't want to.

02:45all the irons and just wrote one more or one more up or one more down where it was

02:49like, Hey, I'm it's why I'm hitting my six iron further now is because it's actually

02:53it's a five hour.

02:54It's just right down the road.
