A shocking case of alleged hooliganism has emerged from Karnataka's Kolar district, where a rowdy sheeter and his associates reportedly attacked and vandalised three bars after being denied free alcohol.

The main accused have been identified as Pratap, also known as Vishwanath Pratap Gowda, a rowdy sheeter previously externed to Mysuru district, and his associate Murugesh, who is facing charges in the "Biklu Shiva" murder case. Police said three other individuals were also involved in the attacks.

According to investigators, the group targeted three establishments in Malur taluk: M.S. Bar in Masti, a bar near Tirumala Residency at Berike Gadi in Gangasandra, and a bar and restaurant in Toralakki village.

The most serious incident took place at the Toralakki village bar, where CCTV footage allegedly shows the masked gang entering the premises late at night.

Police said the accused took a beer parcel and attempted to leave without making payment. When the staff objected, they allegedly demanded free alcohol and insisted that they should be served without paying.

The situation quickly escalated as the group allegedly smashed liquor bottles, vandalised property and assaulted a cashier identified as Varun.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and the footage has since gone viral on social media.

Following the attacks, the Masti Police registered a case and launched a search operation to trace the absconding accused. Senior police officials, including the Superintendent of Police, visited the affected establishments and inspected the damage.

Police said further investigation is underway and efforts are continuing to arrest all those involved.

The incident has raised concerns among local residents over increasing criminal activity and the alleged involvement of repeat offenders in acts of violence and vandalism.
