00:00How do you meet people? I'm going to cover some of the easiest ways to meet people,

00:03especially if you're shy or trying to get out of your shell and get more social and build your

00:07confidence. And you can be meeting these people for relationships or for friendships too,

00:12whatever you decide. So let's go. How do you meet people? So here's my top list of the simplest

00:20ways to start meeting people, whether you're shy or confident, but for some reason you've

00:24ended up isolated and now you want to branch out and start being more social. So let's go.

00:27Number one, meetup groups. Meetup is a big website where you can meet lots of people. There are so

00:33many different kinds of meetups on there. There are get togethers to drink beer, to drink wine.

00:38There are sporting events. You can go for baseball, hockey, chess. It just depends what kind of people

00:43you want to meet. People like you, or do you want to branch out and try something different? Well,

00:47you can meet people for romantic reasons. You also meet people to make friendships as well. Most of

00:51these meetups are free. So, you know, it doesn't matter if you have any money or not, but some of

00:55them will require a little bit of cash, especially if you're going for drinks or doing anything like

00:58that. But typically these meetups are free to join. Number two, sporting events or sporting clubs.

01:04Pick your favorite sport and go join a club, whether that's hockey, baseball, Brazilian jiu-jitsu,

01:08MMA, badminton, tennis, and the list goes on. Pick your favorite sport, whatever it is,

01:13or something you've never tried before or something you want to try that's new and you want help to get

01:16in shape. This would be a great way to do it while meeting people. Number three, volunteer organizations.

01:21There's tons of volunteer organizations which get together in groups and help other people. So if

01:26you're a helpful person, you want to meet people while making a difference, this would probably be

01:29the best route for you. Number four, be a tourist in your own town. There's very often, depending on

01:34the size of your city, but there's very often tourist organizations which include being a tourist in

01:40your own city. This is a great way to meet other people both from afar and local. Number five,

01:45political organizations. You can either volunteer at a political organization or even go to a political

01:49dinner like I signed up for this weekend, which is giving supporters a chance to support the party

01:53financially as well as meeting the local MP while having dinner. And there's going to be lots of

01:57other people who are similarly minded. So I'm ending the list right there. Obviously, it could be a lot

02:02bigger, but just to get you started as a shy person or someone who just wants to expand their social
