Hello everyone and welcome. In today's feature called War of the Monster from 1966, we have one of my favorite Kaiju's. The one, the only, the original turtle in a half shell, Gamera. Now when Gamera started out, he sadly was a bad guy for some reason but that didn't last long. People fell in love with him, so good-by bad guy, hello good guy and helper to children. In this story which picks up a few months after Gamera's first movie called Gamera, the Giant Monster 1965. We find our turtle friend finally free from the rocket he was place in, when a meteorite hits it. Gamera comes back to Earth (landing in Japan of course), a bit angry and starts attacking. He's just a little sore, you would be too if you were force into a rocket with the intention of going to Mars and to be studied. Now on to the rest of our story. While Gamera is destroying this and that, another part of our story involves Ichiro a veteran of WWII. Ichiro want to retrieve what he believes is an opal that he once had during the war and had hidden in a cave in New Guinea. So he enlist the help of his brother Ichiro and two others named Kawajiri and Onodera. Onodera is one to look out for. Sometimes greed takes over. Short story long, they find the said opal but is it an opal? The natives of the island give warnings about retrieving it. What happens next, well let's just say, Japan should be glad Gamera got freed. Staring in this buddy of Godzilla film we have...Kojiro Hongo as Keisuke, Kōji Fujiyama as Onodera, Akira Natsuki as Ichirō, Kyōko Enami as Karen, Yūzō Hayakawa as Kawajiri, Takuya Fujioka as Dr. Satō, Yoshirō Kitahara as Professor Amano, Ichirō Sugai as Dr. Matsushita, Yoshihiro Hamaguchi as Awaji Maru crewman, Teruo Aragaki as Gamera and many more. So let's make some Purple Turtle cocktails, get a bag of Turtle chips and enjoy. Also thanks so much for watching.

00:00:00The End
00:00:30About six months ago, an airplane carrying an atomic bomb crashed in the Arctic Ocean.
00:00:54The bomb exploded, and the great heat and force of the explosion released the monster Gamera,
00:01:00who had been imprisoned in the ice almost since the beginning of time.
00:01:09Gamera attacked Japan, leaving death and destruction in his wake.
00:01:14Man-made weapons were powerless against him.
00:01:16The Z-Plan was mankind's last hope.
00:01:29Gamera was lured into a rocket, which was sealed and shot to Mars.
00:01:33But the rocket crashed into a meteor.
00:01:43The capsule split open, and Gamera returned to Earth,
00:01:47his devastating power even more terrible than before.
00:01:49In order to store up even greater energy in his massive body,
00:01:53Gamera attacked Kurobe Dam, one of the largest in northern Japan.
00:02:03What's that?

00:04:19We have to get out of here.
00:04:26With the dam totally destroyed, Gamera senses that a volcano is erupting on the other side
00:04:46of the world.
00:04:47His love for flames pushes him hungrily toward the flow of molten lava.
00:04:53You've resigned.
00:04:54You've made up your mind.
00:04:55Yes.
00:04:56I have, sir.

00:05:32I have a plan.
00:05:34One ambition.
00:05:36And I intend to achieve it.
00:05:39Hit right there.
00:05:42Remember your, Sir about eight years.
00:05:44Let me know what you've done like.
00:05:45You thought of it, and your feet is less.
00:05:46December 30, July 7, July 7, July 7, July 7, August 9, June 7, October 9, August 9.
00:05:55At the time before you live a long time you have to come by to your face with each constraint.
00:05:56Then I'll talk about something beautiful, I passed things like you three 명 issues.
00:05:58I quite believe I calculate again by hitting things that Caroline of his wife watch cambiate as a cliff at the кап Eunice School District.
00:06:29Come in, Kisuke.
00:06:49You're late.
00:06:55My brother.
00:06:59Severance pay.
00:07:04Old thing.
00:07:05We'll need it.
00:07:06Can't get rich working on salary.
00:07:09My own company.
00:07:10That's what I want.
00:07:11I'll get it, too.
00:07:13All right, Kisuke.
00:07:13Now, for any of you who've forgotten, I suppose I can run through it again.
00:07:23During the war, in the jungles of New Guinea, I found an opal this big around.
00:07:28I hid it in a cave before we were sent to the prisoner of war camp.
00:07:32It must still be there.
00:07:33How can you be sure?
00:07:361945 is a long time ago.
00:07:38The cave is supposed to be haunted by some beast called the Ava.
00:07:42A beast the natives believe in.
00:07:44It's a real gamble, isn't it?
00:07:46Right.
00:07:46It'll bring us at least four million.
00:07:51A real opal, are you sure?
00:07:53Yes, I am.
00:07:54We might find rubies or diamonds.
00:07:57Since I can't do a lot of walking, Kisuke goes in my place.
00:08:01I'm ready.
00:08:02Fine.
00:08:03Oh.
00:08:08Now then, listen.
00:08:09I've arranged passage for you on the Awajimaru on a cargo run.
00:08:13You got the...
00:08:14Oh, yes.
00:08:15Of course.
00:08:16It cost a lot of money to get these seamen's books for it.
00:08:19One for you, and one for you.
00:08:22Kisuke and Onodera will board as regular seamen.
00:08:25Be careful how you handle things.
00:08:26And you as navigator.
00:08:27That's right.
00:08:28The Awajimaru will reach port to New Guinea in 25 days.
00:08:34She'll unload, take on a new cargo the next day, and set out to tour the island.
00:08:39She'll be back in port in exactly two weeks.
00:08:42And that is all the time you'll have to find the great opal.
00:08:45We'll run away without leave and then try to re-board the same boat.
00:08:49Say you're going to look for the bones of a friend who died during the war, huh?
00:08:54Good idea.
00:08:55Next, the airport at Gibata.
00:08:59Charter a helicopter here.
00:09:01And get some dollars on the black market.
00:09:05Your job is fly the helicopter.
00:09:08Yeah.
00:09:09And make sure that no one has to make a parachute jump.
00:09:14Watch out when you're in that cave.
00:09:16There are deadly scorpions.
00:09:19And don't close your eyes when you're in the jungle, either.
00:09:22These are to be used if you need them.
00:09:23I didn't know I was volunteering for this.
00:09:42It can't last forever.
00:09:45Hey, you two.
00:09:48Clean your head.
00:09:48The what?
00:09:50What you got on your shoulders.
00:09:57Enjoying yourself, huh?
00:09:59You've got to find us some easier work.
00:10:01You can stick it out.
00:10:03We're not complaining.
00:10:04It's wonderful.
00:10:05We even get to clean the latrines.
00:10:07Why don't you try it?
00:10:08Hey, come here.
00:10:19Only three days to go.
00:10:21Oh, I hope so.
00:10:22We'll manage.

00:14:42for thousands of years they say it is a warning from our ancestors that an evil spirit dwells there
00:14:49and that it is even dangerous to go near the place then you're not going to help us look for it
00:14:55of course not they say you must forget about it respect their wishes
00:15:00hey come here
00:15:08they don't want anyone even to go near that cave that proves they must have treasure hidden there
00:15:19and that story is only a fairy tale to protect their treasure huh
00:15:22and the evil spirit is just the scorpion my brother mentioned

00:24:30Okay, okay, you have to snap out of it.
00:24:44Come on, we've found the opal.
00:24:46We should be going.
00:24:49We can't take him with us, you know that.
00:24:53Oh, I, uh, I better take care of the jewel.
00:24:58Huh?
00:25:00Well, what's wrong?
00:25:06Don't you trust me?
00:25:11Sure, I trust you, but I'll keep the gun.
00:25:16Huh.
00:25:21All right.
00:25:28Well, we got what we came here to get.
00:25:30We better have a look around.
00:25:33There might be more, who knows.
00:25:35We better have a look around.
00:25:36Okay.
00:25:37There might be more.
00:25:37Okay.
00:25:42Okay.
00:28:03Yes.
00:28:05If we had found you a bit later, you'd have been dead.
00:28:09But we didn't save you out of kindness.
00:28:12You can believe that.
00:28:15You and your friends found something, didn't you?
00:28:19And then one of them betrayed you.
00:28:22Don't try to hide it.
00:28:24Yes.
00:28:25We found what we were looking for.
00:28:28The opal.
00:28:30An opal?
00:28:31That's right.
00:28:32One that's this big.
00:28:35My brother found it during the war.
00:28:37He hid it in that cave himself.
00:28:41And so by rights, it's ours.
00:28:47Oh, damn.
00:29:03What's going on out there?
00:29:05What kind of curse?
00:29:06There are some things that science can't explain.
00:29:11You must return it.
00:29:13You must.
00:29:13Otherwise, if you don't, the lives of all our people will be in danger.
00:29:19You must return it. You must. Otherwise, if you don't, the lives of all our people will be in danger.
00:29:27Really? They value it so much.
00:29:31Its value is not what we're talking about.
00:29:34Doctor, it's in Japan. I'll go there.
00:29:37Impossible.
00:29:41I will go.
00:29:42Oh, please. You must remain here and look after the tribe. I'll go to Japan, please.
00:29:47You'd be lost, my child. You wouldn't know what to do or even where to go.
00:29:51We mustn't just wait for all the trouble to begin.
00:29:55You can't go alone.
00:29:57Then he'll have to take me.
00:29:59Listen to me. What you think is an opal is really not a jewel at all.
00:30:05It is a bringer of evil and misfortune to the whole world.
00:30:09So what is it if not an opal, Kara?
00:30:12It is a bringer of misery.
00:30:14That is why no one steps inside the cave.
00:30:17Only you men did.
00:30:19You have done a terrible thing.
00:30:23And now my tribe can only pray.
00:30:26Pray that the evil will not be inflicted upon us.
00:30:29No.
00:30:29No.
00:30:29No.

00:31:16Hello, Doctor.
00:31:17How are you feeling?
00:31:18Not too bad.
00:31:21I get the shivers every now and then.
00:31:23Well, that's what happens when you've picked up malaria.
00:31:25You've got to expect it.
00:31:26I guess so.
00:31:31Onodera,
00:31:33tell me, why did you leave the ship without permission?
00:31:36You wanted to bring back the bones of your friend?
00:31:40Yes.

00:51:48His attraction for flames.
