Hello everyone and welcome. Shape-shifting, black magic, animal sacrifice, body transference, this film has them all and a little more. Film in 1958 but not released until 1961 we have The Devil's Partner. A story of an evil man named Pete Jensen. Now Pete is a practitioner of black magic. One day Pete, now an old man, decides to do a spell. During the spell it looks as though he dies but does he. A few days later a "nephew" shows up to claim his uncles place/items. What happens next you ask, well let me tall yah. We have a lot of animal possessions, murders and an attempted murder. Staring in this horse of a tale we have....Ed Nelson in a duel role as Nick Richards / Pete Jensen, Edgar Buchanan as Doc Lucas, Jean Allison as Nell, Richard Crane as David, Spencer Carlisle as Sheriff Tom Fuller, Byron Foulger as Papers, Claire Carleton as Ida, Brian O'Hara as Harry, Harry Fleer as John, Joe Hooker as Deputy Joe, Hugh Hooker as Mr. Johnson, Riley Hill as Frank and Laura Jean Mathews as Martha. 00:00:30Oh, no, no, no.
00:01:00Oh, my God.
00:01:30Oh, my God.
00:02:00Oh, my God.
00:02:30Oh, my God.
00:03:00Oh, my God.
00:03:30Oh, my God.
00:04:00Oh, my God.
00:04:29Oh, my God.
00:04:59Oh, my God.
00:05:30Maybe I can help you.
00:05:32I've been here a long time.
00:05:33He's an old guy.
00:05:34His name's Pete Jensen.
00:05:39Well, you know what?
00:05:40What do you want with him?
00:05:44Your friend or something?
00:05:45His nephew.
00:05:47Well, take care, Ida.
00:05:49See you next trip.
00:05:50Sure, and don't forget the magazines, huh?
00:05:52Sure.
00:05:56What's the matter with you?
00:05:59Wondering what I'm going to tell you.
00:06:01How in the world did a nice-looking young fellow like yourself
00:06:04come to be a nephew of a crazy old coot like Pete Chance?
00:06:07Well, the guy can't pick his off, folks.
00:06:08You going to tell me?
00:06:16You Pete Jensen's nephew?
00:06:18That's right.
00:06:19Why is it a crime?
00:06:21Let's go on over to the office.
00:06:22We can talk better there.
00:06:24Talk about what?
00:06:25In the office, huh?
00:06:28Anything you say.
00:06:38Sit down.
00:06:51Just when you think it can't get any hotter, it fools you and does.
00:07:01Yeah, it's all right.
00:07:03But you didn't bring me here to talk about the weather, Sheriff.
00:07:05What am I here for?
00:07:06Well, I don't know how to tell you.
00:07:08It isn't too pleasant.
00:07:10Your uncle's dead.
00:07:12Well, that's why I'm here.
00:07:14I was his only living relative.
00:07:15I figured I'd better come by.
00:07:17How'd you know he was dead?
00:07:18He only died four days ago.
00:07:20Well, I didn't.
00:07:21You see, he wrote me a letter a short while back asking me to get over as quick as I could.
00:07:26He said he wasn't feeling well.
00:07:27Well, your uncle didn't die from natural causes.
00:07:30In fact, he may have been murdered.
00:07:32I'm not sure.
00:07:34Murdered?
00:07:35Yeah.
00:07:36They found him in his shack in a pool of blood.
00:07:39It could have been his and might not.
00:07:42We're not sure of that either.
00:07:44How do you mean?
00:07:45Well, the only mark on his body was a small cut on his left wrist.
00:07:49And we also found a goat in the shack with its throat cut.
00:07:53Now, the blood may have been the animals.
00:07:54I've sent a sample down to Albuquerque to let the lab men decide.
00:07:58I'm waiting for an answer.
00:07:59It sure was peculiar.
00:08:01Yeah.
00:08:02I'm sorry, but your uncle wasn't liked in this town.
00:08:04He had many enemies.
00:08:06It's too bad I've got to break the news to you like this.
00:08:10Yeah, it looked like he saw something horrible.
00:08:13Was anything missing when you found him?
00:08:15We don't know that.
00:08:16As I say, he wasn't liked.
00:08:18And nobody had been around there in months.
00:08:21He didn't have anything that anyone knew of.
00:08:23Except these.
00:08:29Here's most of his things.
00:08:30I put them in this carton.
00:08:31I make them easier to handle.
00:08:32Thanks.
00:08:33Sure he's a scorcher.
00:08:46Hi, Doc.
00:08:47This is Dr. Lucas.
00:08:48I didn't get your name.
00:08:50Oh, Nick Richards.
00:08:51Hello, Doctor.
00:08:52How are you, Nick?
00:08:52Fine.
00:08:53This is Pete Jensen's nephew, Doc.
00:08:55Hmm?
00:08:55It beats me why anyone want to keep an old goat skin like that.
00:09:00Can't help wondering what they want with it.
00:09:02Yeah, it is kind of peculiar.
00:09:03No accounting for people's tastes, I guess.
00:09:06I'm going to go up and take a look at the house.
00:09:07Shaq's more like it.
00:09:08A dirty one at that.
00:09:09Your uncle was quite a character.
00:09:11Shaq, then.
00:09:12Who knows?
00:09:12My uncle may have left me a fortune and never said anything about it.
00:09:15Thanks a lot, Sheriff.
00:09:17By the way, there's one more thing.
00:09:19I hate to mention it, but your uncle not having any money left some of the folks holding the bag.
00:09:23There wasn't anything left to pay funeral expenses with.
00:09:26How much was it?
00:09:28Oh, it's the $40. It covered nicely.
00:09:31I'll take care of it as soon as I'm settled.
00:09:33Okay?
00:09:34That's fine.
00:09:35Tell you what, I'll give you a lift over there.
00:09:37It's only a few blocks, but in this heat, it'll seem like a mile.
00:09:40Try it, Sheriff. I'll be okay.
00:09:45He's a likable sort, isn't he?
00:09:50Yeah.
00:09:51Yeah, he's not much like his uncle.
00:09:56What do you suppose ever happened to old Pete the last few months?
00:09:59Oh, it beats me.
00:10:00He seemed to get worse with time.
00:10:02Where do you suppose this nephew of his come from?
00:10:05Heat doesn't seem to bother him.
00:10:06What makes you say that?
00:10:07Did you notice?
00:10:08He didn't have a drop of perspiration on him.
00:10:11Must be a hundred degrees outside.
00:10:12Oh, well, you got the pinocle leg?
00:10:17Got it, Doc.
00:10:18Oh, well, I'll be right back now.
00:12:05What do you want? Who are you?
00:12:08Well, has the cat got your tongue?
00:12:12I'm Nell Lucas.
00:12:14I might ask who you are.
00:12:17I'm Nick Richards, Pete Jensen's nephew.
00:12:20And this is my property you're on.
00:12:22I never knew Pete Jensen had a nephew.
00:12:25He never mentioned it to me.
00:12:27We used to buy his goat milk.
00:12:29Put it down.
00:12:30My father uses it for TB patients.
00:12:41You're the doctor's daughter.
00:12:43That's right.
00:12:44When Pete died, I didn't know he had any relatives, so I continued coming over here for the goat milk.
00:12:51I didn't know it would upset anybody.
00:12:53I'm sorry.
00:12:54You're kind of startled me.
00:12:55Well, forget it.
00:12:56No, wait.
00:12:57I am sorry, Alice.
00:13:01It's all right.
00:13:01You don't have to apologize.
00:13:03After all, it is your property.
00:13:05Well, I didn't mean that exactly.
00:13:06It's just that, well, it's been kind of a difficult day for me.
00:13:10And ever since the sheriff told me that my uncle may have died from something other than a natural cause, I...
00:13:15Will you forgive me?
00:13:18I'm sorry.
00:13:20I...
00:13:20I wasn't very polite either.
00:13:24Shake?
00:13:26It's a deal.
00:13:28As for the goat, you can come over anytime.
00:13:30If you do the milking.
00:13:33Okay.
00:13:37My hand.
00:13:45What's the matter?
00:13:58Just kind of, kind of dizzy.
00:13:59Am I right now?
00:14:03Well, you better see a good doctor.
00:14:05Is your father a good doctor?
00:14:06One of the best in town.
00:14:07That's what I thought.
00:14:08How many are there in town?
00:14:09Just Dad.
00:14:10Well, thanks again for the milk.
00:14:15Okay.
00:14:25Hi.
00:14:26Oh, hi, honey.
00:14:27Be with you in a minute.
00:14:29Well, she took six and a half gallons, George, so that's 2.30.
00:14:40There you go, George.
00:14:44Thanks a lot.
00:14:45See you later.
00:14:51You retire yet?
00:14:52Hmm?
00:14:53You retire yet.
00:14:55Well, it's 1 o'clock, isn't it?
00:14:57Then it's ready.
00:14:59Now, look here, young lady.
00:15:00Do you think this large and prosperous organization would go back on its word to one of its, uh, best customers?
00:15:08Allow me.
00:15:08Well, there she is.
00:15:26Good as new.
00:15:28I think I'll have the owner notified, and you shall be given a raise.
00:15:32Well, thank you, ma'am.
00:15:33Say, would you, uh, would you like to meet him tonight, huh?
00:15:39Oh, I don't know.

00:19:01oh
00:19:02No, it couldn't have been that.
00:19:04Well, why not?
00:19:05Because I always run tests on it before Nell brings it over here.
00:19:08See, goat's milk's a lot richer than cow's milk, more after sour.
00:19:12I always run the test on it before I put it in the container.
00:19:15Well, couldn't he have choked as he drank the milk and caught his breath, maybe,
00:19:18and then coughing, had a heart attack?
00:19:20I mean, isn't that possible?
00:19:23It's possible.
00:19:24As I told you before, Harry Matthews had his sound heart of you or me.
00:19:28No, we'll have to come up with something more professional than that.
00:19:30See, a man just doesn't have a heart attack without some apparent reason.
00:19:38Hello?
00:19:40Yes, Joe?
00:19:41I just got a report from Albuquerque.
00:19:43Read it to me.
00:19:48Thanks.
00:19:51That's the lab report from Albuquerque.
00:19:53You were right.
00:19:54It was goat's blood on Pete's hands.
00:19:57Still doesn't explain why he died.
00:19:59Unless it was a coronary thrombosis.
00:20:04A what?
00:20:05Heart attack.
00:20:08Well, I'll be in my office if you need me to call me.

00:29:15If the money keeps rolling in the way it has, you and David will be able to get married and retire soon.
00:29:21Nick, I'm worried about David.
00:29:24Worried about David? Why?
00:29:26He just isn't himself these days.
00:29:28Pretty hard. There was a nasty mall in his dog caving.
00:29:31No, it isn't that. Something seems to be changing him.
00:29:35He doesn't seem to care anymore.
00:29:38Care about what?
00:29:40About me.
00:29:42Every time I go to the house, he's always busy with something.
00:29:45Too busy to see his future wife.
00:29:47Well, maybe he's worried about his scars.
00:29:51The bandages aren't coming off in a couple of days.
00:29:54I know if I were in his shoes, I'd be worried.
00:29:57I mean, worried that my girl still wanted to marry me. Scars are no scars.
00:30:00But that's just it. I've told him about this.
00:30:02I told him I don't care what he looks like. I just care about what he is.
00:30:07Well, if you have a girl that feels that way, can cure things a lot worse than scars.
00:30:11Well, if you want a Coke, I'll buy it.
00:30:16Sure.
00:30:17Sure.
00:30:17Sure.
00:30:17Yeah.
00:30:31I hope they call. I just put them in the box a few minutes ago.
00:30:33Nick, here I am telling you all about my troubles and not even asking you if you mind.
00:30:40I'm listening, and I know mine. Anyway, that's what friends are for.
00:30:43Have you ever heard of Dr. Robert Marks?
00:30:48Marks? No, why?
00:30:49Well, he's one of the best plastic surgeons in the world. He and Dad were interns together.
00:30:54Well, when this thing happened to David, Dad asked if he'd help, and he said he would.
00:30:59That's wonderful.
00:31:00And I'm sure whether a guy like Dr. Marks, David, hadn't got a thing to worry about.
00:31:03He doesn't. Well, but he still thinks that everybody's against him, including me.
00:31:09Now, you, uh, you want some real good advice?
00:31:12I certainly need it.
00:31:15Give David a little time. Believe me, he'll come around.
00:31:21Nick, I don't know how David and I are ever going to be able to repay you.
00:31:25By the way, what time is this Dr. Marks coming in?
00:31:47He'll be leaving Albuquerque tonight.
00:31:49That's good. I'll see you later.
00:31:55What's the matter? You need some more money?
00:32:11You already gave me five. I've still got some left.
00:32:18See, I don't need no money.
00:32:21You, uh, want to do me a favor?
00:32:23Yeah. For a friend, I'd do anything.
00:32:27To me, you're a real friend.
00:32:31Well, you see, this buddy of mine's in a little trouble, and I'd like to help him out.
00:32:35Only I can't do it myself.

00:48:59You look funny.
00:49:00Is that a man down there by the bush?
00:49:04Daddy!
00:49:05Daddy!
00:49:05There's the body down there.
00:49:22I'm Sheriff Fuller, and that's Dr. Lucas.
00:49:25Boy, are we glad to see you.
00:49:27John Winter's the name, and this is my wife, Martha.
00:49:30Is he dead, Doc?
00:49:32Is he dead, Doc?
00:49:32He's been dead about six hours.
00:49:35Looks like a horse trampled him.
00:49:37All right, let's go over that again, what you told the driver to tell me.
00:49:41Well, the car got overheated, so I pulled over to the side, let the kids get out of the car
00:49:47to stretch their legs a bit.
00:49:48We'd been on the road pretty long time.
00:49:49Just about that time, Vera Jean started yelling.
00:49:52Then they both got all excited, screaming they'd found a dead man.
00:49:56I didn't believe them.
00:49:57You know how kids are, Sheriff.
00:49:59Always imagining things.
00:50:00But they kicked up such a fuss, finally when I went over to this place where...
00:50:06And there he was.
00:50:10I've never seen such a mess.
00:50:12So then you flagged down the car and called me.
00:50:15Well, I guess that about does it.
00:50:17Certainly appreciate your cooperation.
00:50:19I'll have a look.
00:50:20Thanks again.
00:50:23Don't you want a statement?
00:50:25No, I think I have all the information I need.
00:50:27Thanks anyhow.
00:50:30Looks like he tried to write something.
00:50:47P-E-T-E, Pete, is R-I-C-H, rich.
00:50:54Pete is rich.
00:50:56Pete?
00:50:57Pete who?
00:50:58The only Pete I know is Pete Jensen.
00:51:02Yeah, you're right.
00:51:03We'd better get back into town.
00:51:04But that can't be.
00:51:28Pete Jensen's dead.
00:51:29You know, Doc, this don't look so good.
00:51:34Pete is rich.
00:51:36I think I can straighten you out on that.
00:51:38Papers knew Pete better than anyone.
00:51:40So?
00:51:41Most everybody thought Pete didn't have a dime to his name, right?
00:51:44So you think that that's what Papers was trying to tell us, that Pete was rich, huh?
00:51:47It's a theory I'm going on.
00:51:49Now, we both know that Nick, Pete's nephew, came to town without much money.
00:51:53He didn't have enough to pay you for Pete's funeral.
00:51:56I happen to know a few days ago he deposited $2,000.
00:52:00Maybe that's what Papers trying to tell us.
00:52:03Does that make any sense to you?
00:52:04Yeah, it does.
00:52:06But why did he do it?
00:52:07You know, write that Pete is rich thing in the sand.
00:52:10Yeah.
00:52:11And where did that horse come from?
00:52:13The nearest ranch is miles from here.
00:52:15Now, Doc, there's something strange about this.
00:52:20Do me a favor, will you?
00:52:21Sure, Tom.
00:52:22Why?
00:52:22When we get back into town, if anyone asks you what happened to Papers,
00:52:26go along with me and just say that it looked like a car hit him, huh?
00:52:30Hit by a car?
00:52:31Why?
00:52:32Well, let's just say I've got me a hunch.
00:52:35A hunch that there's a lot more to this than you and I can see.
00:52:39Maybe Pete ain't dead.
00:52:41Tom, you and I both saw Pete buried.
00:52:44I did sign the certificate.
00:52:45You was there when I signed it, remember?
00:52:46I know, Doc.
00:52:47I know Pete's dead.
00:52:49But I also know that Papers is dead, too.
00:52:52All right, Tom.
00:52:52I'll go along with you.
00:52:53I'll say he was hit by a car.
00:52:55I'll get that blanket.
00:53:11I'll go along with you.
00:53:41Stop it, Lenny.
00:53:44Come on, Lenny.
00:53:57Let's get out of here.
00:53:57Let's go.
00:54:00Let's go.
00:54:01Let's go.
00:54:02Let's go.
00:54:06Let's go.
00:54:14Letty looks like you uncovered some
00:54:44Dad, Dad, you will talk to him, won't you?
00:55:04Well, I'll do the best I can.
00:55:07But are you sure there isn't anything between you and this Nick fellow?
00:55:09Oh, of course I'm sure.
00:55:12David's imagining things.
00:55:14Well, like I said, I'll do everything I can.
00:55:17But I'm not doing it because you asked me to.
00:55:20I'm doing it because I think David would make a fine son-in-law.
00:55:25Thanks, Dad.
00:55:26I'll see you later.
00:55:33We'll have it off in a minute now, David.
00:55:35David.
00:55:41The new tape speaks pretty tight.
00:55:43Well, Doc, how does it look?
00:55:57I've seen worse.
00:55:58Well, let's face it, Doc.
00:56:12I'm not a very pretty sight of him.
00:56:15Well, you're going to need some work.
00:56:17It's amazing the things they do these days with plastic surgery.
00:56:19What about Nell and me?
00:56:23Have we got a chance?
00:56:26Well, that's up to you, Dave.
00:56:28I will tell you one thing.
00:56:30Nell loves you very much.
00:56:32You're not helping matters, but not talking with her or concerning your future together.
00:56:38Doc, look at me.
00:56:39Look at me and tell me honestly what you see.
00:56:43You know what I see, David.
00:56:46There's your answer.
00:56:47Like I said, you're going to need some work, plastic surgery.
00:56:51But with it, I'm sure your problem is only a matter of a few months at most.
00:56:54No, Doc.
00:56:56No, I love Nell too much to hold her to any obligation I might have put under before this happened.
00:57:01So, maybe you better tell her to forget me.
00:57:06You're exaggerating, son.
00:57:08Other people have had accidents worse than yours.
00:57:10Hey, Manny.
00:57:13Sorry, Doc.
00:57:13I made up my mind.
00:57:16Why don't you let your friends help you, David?
00:57:31Why don't you let your friends help you, David?
00:57:54I'll go.
00:57:55I'll go.
00:57:59THE END
00:58:29Hello
00:58:36This is Nick
00:58:38Yeah
00:58:40There's a Mr. Johnson here that wants to charge some gas until the end of the month
00:58:43Yeah, I just wanted to call, make sure it was alright
00:58:59I don't buy any off
00:59:02So long
00:59:03Down, laddie
00:59:28I don't know what's gotten into him
00:59:29Yeah, and dogs can sure smell things they don't like a mile away
00:59:32I was feeding a stray cat in the back a while ago
00:59:34I guess he senses it
00:59:36Nick, I'd like to ask you something
00:59:38Sure, anything
00:59:39Well, what is it?
00:59:42Did you see Papers the day he died?
00:59:43Oh, I used to work on a ranch once
00:59:47One of them turned on me
00:59:48Just got under the fence in time
00:59:51My head might have been where Papers is now
00:59:53You're right
00:59:55It was a nasty way to go
00:59:57Yeah
00:59:57Who told you it was a horse?
00:59:59The doc?
01:00:01Yeah, that's right
01:00:02Thanks, Nick
01:00:04It's okay
01:00:04Well, then if you didn't tell him who did
01:00:17You and I were the only ones that knew
01:00:18Well, I don't know
01:00:20Unless it could have been those people that found Papers' body
01:00:23Maybe they stopped at the station for gas
01:00:25Look, I asked him who told him
01:00:27And he said it was you
01:00:27Now, why would he lie?
01:00:29I don't know
01:00:30I went over to see Nick this morning
01:00:32I figured he might be able to straighten out this business
01:00:34About old Pete Jensen being rich
01:00:36You know, that's what Papers wrote
01:00:38Or at least part of what he wrote
01:00:39Well, Nick wasn't home
01:00:41So I took the liberty of going through the place
01:00:43It's against the law, you know, Tom
01:00:45I know that
01:00:46But I didn't figure an innocent man in mind
01:00:48Anyhow, all I found were a couple of goat skins
01:00:51And a square painted on the floor
01:00:52Under a rug
01:00:53Like it was meant to be hidden
01:00:55What kind of a square?
01:00:56Well, not exactly a square
01:00:58It had six sides
01:00:59Hexagon
01:01:00Yeah, that's it
01:01:01And there was some blood on the floor
01:01:03I think it was goat's blood
01:01:04Why do you think it was goat's blood?
01:01:06Well, there was a goat skin
01:01:07Hanging on a clothesline inside the shack
01:01:09And Laddie dug up a carcass outside
01:01:12Hadn't been buried too long
01:01:14Strange
01:01:15And listen to this
01:01:17That dog of mine likes everybody
01:01:19But this afternoon
01:01:20I thought he was going to go through the car window
01:01:22After that fellow Richards
01:01:24Richards
01:01:26Richards
01:01:28That's it
01:01:29That's what Papers was trying to write
01:01:31Don't you get it?
01:01:33No, I don't get it
01:01:34What are you driving at?
01:01:36Papers wrote R-I-C-H in the sand, right?
01:01:39That's what it looked like
01:01:40Well, that's the first four letters
01:01:41And Nick's last name
01:01:42Richards
01:01:43You could be right
01:01:44But even if you are
01:01:45What's Richards got to do
01:01:46With a horse
01:01:47Trappling an old wino to death?
01:01:50Hello, Sheriff
01:01:51Afternoon, Nell
01:01:52How are you and that boy
01:01:53You're getting along?
01:01:55Not so well, I'm afraid
01:01:56I think he's leaving town
01:01:58David, leaving town?
01:02:00Why do you say that?
01:02:02Well, he called Nick a little while ago
01:02:04And told him to drop by the apartment
01:02:05He wants to make a proposition
01:02:07Well, what for?
01:02:09Well, Nick didn't know exactly
01:02:10Dad, I wish you could talk to David
01:02:12I know if he leaves town
01:02:13I'll never see him again
01:02:14Well, David leaving town
01:02:16Doesn't make sense
01:02:17You're wrong there, Tom
01:02:20It does make sense
01:02:21If you'd seen the David I saw today
01:02:23He's horribly disfigured
01:02:26In mind as well as face
01:02:27Running away isn't gonna solve anything
01:02:30But you see, Sheriff
01:02:31It's me he's running away from
01:02:33He thinks I'm in love with Nick Richards
01:02:36Nell, there's something I want you to do for me
01:02:39It's important
01:02:40I want you to tell Nick
01:02:43That you and David are leaving together
01:02:45What?
01:02:48Just a hunch
01:02:48But I think it'll work
01:02:50What might work?
01:02:52I don't understand
01:02:53You do as Tom says, honey
01:02:54I'll see you two later
01:03:03What even if he does?
01:03:11What's your turn?
01:03:12Oh, that's Tom says, baby
01:03:12You do as Tom says, honey
01:03:14It's just a gift
01:03:16You deserve to lay exist
01:03:17The farm
01:03:23You deserve to watches
01:03:24You deserve to know
01:03:26What happens
01:03:27You deserve to know
01:03:28You deserve to hear

01:06:46Rattlesnake in the house?
01:06:47Yeah, I must have crawled in through the window.
01:06:49I was looking for it when you came in.
01:06:50I think I hit it.
01:06:51There's some blood on the floor.
01:06:54You're right.
01:06:57You did hit it.
01:06:58Come on.
01:07:13What's this?
01:07:16Blood.
01:07:16I'll go get my flashlight.
01:07:24Evening, Ida.
01:07:26Evening, Sheriff.
01:07:28Mel, David, Doc.
01:07:31You seen the snake?
01:07:33Sheriff, in all the years we have known each other,
01:07:36I have never been in the habit of seeing snakes.
01:07:39He means a rattlesnake, Ida.
01:07:42Can't say as I have.
01:07:44I thought I'd cute Mr. Richards, though.
01:07:47Richards?
01:07:48Where, Ida?
01:07:49You don't have to shout, Sheriff.
01:07:51What's all the excitement?
01:07:52We think he might be in trouble.
01:07:54If you tell us, he might help you, minor.
01:07:56Oh, I saw him just a few moments ago.
01:07:59He was coming out of the gas station.
01:08:02Looked like he was hurt or something.
01:08:03I don't know what's come over this town.
01:08:11Used to be a real nice place to live in.
01:08:14Now?
01:08:15Hmm?
01:08:16Look, would somebody mind telling me what's going on around here?
01:08:36Well, I'm not sure myself yet, but I think I have an idea.
01:08:41What?
01:08:42Well, as I said before, I'm not sure, and like Tom here, I'd just be guessing.
01:08:46Well, get to the point, Doc.
01:08:48From all indications, our young friend Nick Richards seems to have a tremendous power.
01:08:53A power to such an extent that he's capable of turning himself into anything he wants.
01:08:58You must be kidding, Doc.
01:08:59Dad, what are you saying?
01:09:01Well, I'm afraid that what the doc says is true.
01:09:04That's to blame for everything that's happened around here.
01:09:07Yes, but what has a snake got to do with Richards?
01:09:08I don't understand.
01:09:09Well, here's Joe.
01:09:10Come on, let's get in the car.
01:09:11Wait a minute, Tom.
01:09:12Doc, can we get in the car?
01:09:13We're wasting time.
01:09:14We're wasting time.
01:09:41Come on, let's go.
01:09:44Come on, let's go.
01:09:46Come on.
01:09:52Come on.
01:09:56Oh, my God.
01:10:26All we can do is let him make peace with his maker.
01:10:56All we can do is let him make peace.
01:11:26All we can do is let him make peace.
