00:09City's housing convener set to be sacked after defying Labour Whip.
00:13Edinburgh Council's housing convener, Lesley, Marion Cameron,
00:17looks set to be forced to quit her role after failing to vote with the rest of the Labour group on a key decision.
00:22A council source said there had been concerns about her performance as a member of the Labour group.
00:26At the last full council meeting, CLR Cameron broke the Labour Whip
00:31by failing to vote for former council leader, Cammie Day, to become the council's Policy and Resources Committee.
00:39She was absent from the chamber when the vote was taken,
00:41and although the appointment was still approved, the party regards it as unacceptable for a convener not to obey the Whip.

00:52A man has died after taking unwell near Arthur's seat in Edinburgh.
00:55Police said the man's death is being treated as unexplained, but is not believed to be suspicious.

01:20Graziano's Takeaway in Hopetoon Road will be selling fish suppers for £6 instead of the usual £10.50 on Thursday and Friday this week,
01:28October 9th and 10.
01:30And owners Graziano and Simona Labella say once they have covered their costs,
01:35everything else will go to Lymphoma Action,
01:36the only UK charity dedicated to lymphoma,
01:39the fifth most common form of cancer.
