00:09Refurbishment of Northbridge. Now in the endgame, but not done yet.
00:15A time capsule has been buried inside Edinburgh's Northbridge to tell future generations about the huge restoration project which has been underway on the landmark structure over the past seven years.
00:24But the work is not finished yet. The latest timetable is for the major works to be completed by spring 2026, meaning both carriageways and both footways would be fully back in use.
00:36And the whole project is due to be wrapped up by summer 2026, with all the scaffolding removed.
00:42The project has taken far longer than expected, and the final cost is expected to be around £86 million, many times the original estimate.
00:49Four Edinburgh youths have been charged following an alleged assault in the Gracemount area of Edinburgh.
01:00On Sunday, September 28th, a teenage girl was allegedly attacked by a group of youths.
01:05It is understood a video of the incident was later posted on social media.
01:09Police said, we would like to reassure the public that violence will not be tolerated and any report to the police will be fully investigated.

01:22A new restaurant will open in Edinburgh's Southside this week, offering a range of authentic tapas and metze dishes.
01:28La Casa, which opened its first restaurant seven years ago, is set to open its latest venue in Newington Road on Thursday, October 2nd, replacing the Southpore bar that closed last month.
