00:15Hundreds of homeless people in Edinburgh are set to be moved out of unlawful temporary accommodation

00:20as the Council prepares to cut ties with providers operating unlicensed shared housing.

00:25Council housing allocations have been halted so that homeless families living in houses in multiple occupation

00:30which do not meet licensing requirements can be temporarily moved into any available properties.

00:36The decision marks a huge blow to efforts to tackle the city's housing crisis

01:24Edinburgh locals left gutted after popular bar announces sad closure.

01:29Portie Vault on Portobello High Street will serve its last customers in December.

01:33The bar, which is Sour Beer Brewer Vault City's biggest taproom, is hugely popular with locals in the seaside suburb.

01:46Some of you may have heard the sad news that Portie Vault, our seaside taproom in Portobello, will be closing in the near future.

01:52Portie Vault is a venue our team invested a great deal of time, energy and passion into

01:57but unfortunately the upcoming move of our brewery to Midlothian

02:00alongside significant headwinds for the hospitality sector

02:03means we've made the very difficult decision to close the bar down.
