00:00Good evening, everyone. I'm Laura Ingram. This is the Ingram Angle from Washington.
00:05Tonight, as always, thanks for spending some time with us.
00:08Shifts sweats, Dems dissolve, Bondi dominates. That's the focus of tonight's Angle.
00:16Today was supposed to be their big moment with AG Pam Bondi on the Hill.
00:20The Democrats on the Senate Oversight Committee thought they'd flip the script on Team Trump.
00:25They thought they'd nail Bondi and Trump on weaponization using government to punish people's political opponents.
00:32Even as new shocking evidence shows that's precisely what Democrats did.
00:37As Chicago and Portland boil over and as the federal government remained shut down,
00:42the Democrats' focus was on protecting disgraced former FBI director Jim Comey and criminal aliens.
00:49It didn't go well for him.
00:51If you worked for me, you would have been fired because you were censured by Congress for lying.
00:56We can stipulate to all your personal attacks on the Democratic members of the committee.
01:01Personal attacks? You've been attacking my FBI director.
01:04You've been attacking my office.
01:06What we're interested in is the answer to these oversight questions.
01:11You want your five minutes of faith attacking good people.
01:18Schiff should be behind bars.
01:20The ultimate insurrectionist.
01:22A man who tried to subvert Trump's entire first term based on lies and smears.
01:28But of course, that's their playbook.
01:30Accused Trump of what they've already done, hoping the media will echo it long enough to confuse the public.
01:36But Bondi didn't blink. She turned the focus where it belongs back to their record.
01:43Operation Arctic Frost was an unconstitutional, undemocratic abuse of power.
01:50During Arctic Frost, the FBI also placed 92 linked Republican individuals and Republican groups, such as Charlie Kirk's Turning Point, on their list.
02:03This is the kind of conduct that shattered the American people's faith in our government.
02:08We are ending this weaponization.
02:11It's over.
02:12And Arctic Frost, by the way, it wasn't some inadvertent mistake by a low-level staffer or some policy error.
02:20It was a full-blown attempt at a political dragnet authorized by the Biden DOJ and the FBI, launched in April of 2022.
02:29Now, officials used their preliminary analysis powers to collect communications from Republican senators, party organizers, and conservative activists, as Attorney General said, like Charlie Kirk.
02:41Now, this all came to light because of the work of Senators Charles Grassley and Ron Johnson.
02:46And this fishing expedition run by agents working for the special counsel's office, Jack Smith, was coordinated with 13 field offices and resulted in the issuance of, we're told, 50 subpoenas.
03:00So eight Republican senators were targeted, targeted without legal justification.
03:06Lindsey Graham, Marsha Blackburn, Ron Johnson, Josh Hawley, Cynthia Loomis, Bill Haggerty, Dan Sullivan, and Tommy Tuberville.
03:14They were all spied on.
03:16This wasn't national security.
03:17It was an attempt at partisan surveillance.
03:20FBI Director Cash Patel tweeted, they tracked GOP senators.
03:24They weaponized law enforcement.
03:26That era is over.
03:27We sure hope so.
03:29And he also confirmed that CR 15 surveillance unit had been dismantled and agents involved have been fired.
03:37But understandably, senators want answers.
03:40What do I have to show to get the phone records of a sitting United States senator?
03:45You would have to have cause.
03:46Can you tell me why my phone records, when I'm the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, were sought by the Jack Smith agents?
03:57Do you think that was an abuse of power?
03:59Senator, I cannot discuss whether there is or is not an ongoing investigation.
04:04Well, when a sitting senator has to ask why his phone records were sought by an opposing political party, something is deeply broken.
04:14And yet Democrats sat in silence at those parts of the discussion.
04:18No words of concern, not one word of outrage.
04:21Now, I agree with what Chuck Grassley said when he said that based on the evidence to date, Arctic Frost and related weaponization were arguably worse than Watergate.
04:31Because the abuse by the Biden sleazoids was broad, sweeping in the RNC, the Republican Attorneys General Association and 92 conservative individuals.
04:42If Watergate was about breaking into a political campaign headquarters, Arctic Frost was about breaking into an entire political party.
04:49And that's why Democrats are panicking.
04:52The facts are coming to light and they have nowhere to scatter.
04:56Are you firing career prosecutors solely because they worked on cases like January 6th that the president doesn't like?
05:06Senator Hirono, I am not going to talk about personnel matters with you.
05:11I think you should stop with your continuous interruptions, in my opinion.
05:17Mr. Chairman, I just want to close by saying that what was once the Department of Justice has become the Department of Revenge and Corruption.
05:26Oh, that's some good writing there.
05:28So what did they do today?
05:30Well, they just deflected.
05:31They shouted.
05:32They kind of droned on as she did.
05:33And they tried to relitigate things like 2016 and January 6th.
05:37It's all they know.
05:38I think it's been confirmed by the White House they are going to transfer Texas National Guard units to the state of Illinois.
05:45What's the rationale for that?
05:47You voted to shut down the government.
05:49And you're sitting here.
05:50Our law enforcement officers aren't being paid.
05:52They're out there working to protect you.
05:54I wish you loved Chicago as much as you hate President Trump.
05:57And currently, the National Guard are on the way to Chicago.
06:00If you're not going to protect your citizens, President Trump will.
06:05I think that was the defining moment of the hearing today.
06:08Bondi wasn't just defending her record or Trump's record.
06:12She was defending the basic right of every American to have safe cities where criminals,
06:18not law-abiding residents, live in fear.
06:20And by the same token, no American should fear being targeted by the DOJ or the FBI because of their political affiliation.
06:28But the same people who were willing and wailing about Bondi's partisan hit squad were the same ones who not only greenlit Arctic Frost,
06:37but were fine censoring dissent on social media and using skewed phony intel to get and torment Trump and smear conservatives.
06:46And at least one senator thinks heads should roll.
06:50People need to be fired over, not just these FBI agents, but let's go after Jack Smith.
06:55Let's go after the people that pulled the trigger to go after a sitting president of the United States, Donald Trump.
07:01Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, and President Trump are dismantling that system piece by piece,
07:07returning the Department of Justice to its core mission, enforcing laws equally, not politically.
07:14And, you know, that actually terrifies the permanent class in Washington.
07:18They've gotten away with so much for so long, they don't know which way to turn.
07:22So Democrats left today's hearing looking divided, defensive and desperate.
07:27The party that once claimed to protect democracy is now exposed as the party that subverted it.
07:33They're leaderless, they're rudderless and out of arguments. And that's the angle.
07:38Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson, as I said, was one of the senators on that list
07:42and responsible for this Arctic frost coming to light.
07:45He joins me along with the Missouri Senator Eric Schmidt, also on the Judiciary Committee.
07:50Senator Johnson, let's start with you.
07:52So eight U.S. senators, one congressman, all Republicans.
07:57What do we not know about Arctic frost that you hope to still discover?
08:03Well, first of all, as it relates to the seizing of our phone records, who knew about it?
08:11Who approved it?
08:12You know, normally there would be a very rigorous approval process going pretty high up in the chain.
08:16But they circumvented that by saying, well, these aren't subjects of our investigation.
08:21They're not targets.
08:22So they circumvented that.
08:24So this is an outrageous violation of the separation of powers.
08:28We need to know who knew what and when they knew it.
08:31Well, there was one agent that gets named in a lot of these documents who was involved.
08:36It was like one person.
08:37Timmy Tubo.
08:38Yeah, he was the agent in charge that basically thought of this investigation and then approved it.
08:44Totally violating FBI procedures in terms of how you establish an investigation and get it approved up the chain.
08:51He did it himself.
08:52So he's one of the bad actors.
08:53But, Laura, there are plenty of people still in the Jack Smith prosecution team that are still burrowed into the FBI.
08:59This only came to light because the agent who seized the records, who got them, basically used this to recertify in this cast team.
09:09It basically was a brag sheet.
09:11This was an accomplishment to recertify to be able to do the exact same thing again.
09:15So happenstance, we had a whistleblower.
09:17By the way, we need more whistleblowers.
09:19We need more whistleblowers.
09:20That's how we found out about the associations that were targeted, including Senator Schmidt's Association of Attorneys General targeted by this FBI.
09:29So, again, this is out of control.
09:31The Biden administration, the Obama administration have weaponized government ten times what Democrats are falsely accusing the Trump administration of doing.
09:41Senator Schmidt, what legal recourse, if any, do these targets have?
09:46I mean, to have your phone records sought after by a federal official or federal agency without cause on this bogus rationale of it's only a preliminary analysis, that's a new one on me.
10:00I hadn't heard that one before.
10:01Well, I think this is still unfolding.
10:02There's still more to know.
10:03But it's certainly a violation of their civil rights.
10:05But also, Laura, I think the time has come for criminal prosecutions.
10:08I think some of the statute of limitations has expired on some of these things, but not on a conspiracy.
10:13And the fact is, if you're part of a conspiracy in mile marker one, but you try to take an exit ramp at mile marker five, you're still liable for the damage and the criminal activity in mile marker ten.
10:22We're at mile marker ten.
10:23And so, whether it's Comey, Clapper, Brennan, whoever else we know or don't know right now is a part of this, I think indictments should be coming here.
10:31We can't tolerate this.
10:32And the Democrats try to act like President Trump's weaponizing.
10:35It's not what's happening.
10:36This is about accountability.
10:37It is.
10:38And I would say this.
10:39Someone has to be accountable for this.
10:40A hundred percent.
10:41And also, we need to be clear of the distinction.
10:42Ridiculous.
10:43They weaponized it.
10:44The fact that we would go after people who weaponized it is not the same thing, because
10:47if we don't do that, it's going to happen again.
10:49And, Senator Johnson, I mean, what were they after?
10:53This is a question I kept asking myself for the last, you know, since you brought this to light.
10:59What do they want here?
11:00Was it just a fishing expedition?
11:02Did they hope for one piece of information to then spin out another special counsel investigation?
11:08What did they want?
11:09I mean, going after the RGA, Republican Governors Association, Charlie Kirk, Turning Point, other
11:15conservative groups, sitting U.S. senators.
11:17I thought Senator Kennedy was going to have an aneurysm today.
11:19He was so upset.
11:20And, you know, he was funnier than usual, which is a hard thing to pull off when you're
11:24being when your colleagues are being targeted.
11:26But what do you think they were after?
11:28One word answer, power.
11:30Ah.
11:31Democrats will do anything to acquire and maintain power.
11:35That's what this is all about.
11:36Yes, it's a fishing exhibition.
11:38And, you know, Eric's the expert in terms of what crimes might be prosecuted.
11:42The damage that people like Comey, Brennan, Clapper, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Tebow, the damage
11:51they have done to our democracy, starting with the exoneration memo of Hillary Clinton through
11:57Crossfire Hurricane, the Russian hoax, up to this moment.
12:01Russia and China, they could only dream of interfering in our elections to that standpoint.
12:06You know, I was targeted earlier with Senator Grassley with the unsolicited briefing in August
12:12of 2020 to, you know, run us off the tracks of the Hunter Biden investigation.
12:18Then they leaked that to the media, smearing me during my reelection campaign.
12:22So, again, this is time and time and time again, again, orders of magnitude worse than
12:26anything they're falsely accusing Trump of doing.
12:28But our entire country is on the line here, really.
12:30It's whether democracy is going to even matter or mean anything, correct?
12:34I mean, that's to me.
12:35The left is a danger to our democracy.
12:37Yeah, and I also think what this is really about is they never forgave President Trump
12:41for coming down the escalator in the first place.
12:43For winning.
12:44And so this was all an effort, whether you could rush a gate or then it's trying to sideline
12:48a presidency with impeachments or it's the Hunter Biden laptop pre-bunking or it's the
12:52censorship that started three days in the Biden administration or Arctic Frost or the prosecutions
12:57that happened under Jack Smith, Fannie Willis, Alvin Bragg, all of it.
13:01All of it was meant to sideline a movement that threatened permanent Washington and their
13:05grip on power.
13:06That's what this is all about.
13:07They know it.
13:08And there ought to be consequences.
13:10Senator Johnson, Jeffrey Toobin over at CNN says, as usual, covering for the Democrats,
13:17says there's nothing to see here.
13:19Watch.
13:20It's not even news.
13:21Jack Smith cites these conversations in his report.
13:25So this is not like he was trying to keep this a secret.
13:28But it's, of course, appropriate for him to investigate the time and nature or at least
13:36the time and the duration of calls with members of Congress.
13:40It's a complete non story, except that Jack Smith was doing his job.
13:45I've been investigating the FBI now for about 10 years.
13:49So truthfully, I don't find this surprising as he doesn't find it surprising.
13:53It is shocking.
13:54It is outrageous.
13:56Well, they said you guys subpoena Smith.
13:58Absolutely.
13:59Oh, absolutely.
14:00No, I I'm chairman of the Perm Subcommittee investigation.
14:02We do a good job working with Chairman Grassley.
14:05We'll combine our forces again.
14:07And we're going to get to the bottom of this with people like Eric Schmidt.
14:10I mean, Grassley is so impressive.
14:11I mean, he just keeps going 90 plus years.
14:13But he kind of equivocated today when he was pressed on whether or not there would be another
14:19investigation into this Arctic frost, if I heard it correctly.
14:23And I think he wants to give it.
14:24He wants to give the FBI time to get information.
14:26But there will be an investigation.
14:28Trust me.
14:29He's done great work.
14:30And look, if if you had wall to wall coverage on Watergate, OK, which this is like a hundred
14:35times.
14:36Was that a fair analogy?
14:37If that's breaking into political.
14:38This is like breaking into an entire political party.
14:40Absolutely.
14:41And individuals and people who just happen to be of a political party.
14:44Right.
14:45This has to be there has to be a reckoning for this.
14:48Otherwise, they will feel emboldened to do it all over again if they're ever in power
14:52again, which, of course, we can't like the criminals running in the streets in Chicago
14:55and Portland.
14:56If there's no consequences, they just keep running in the streets.
14:58Correct.
14:59Senators, thank you for your work on this.
15:01This is I mean, I'm breathless.
15:03I'm more breathless than Senator Kennedy about this.
15:05All right.
15:06Coming up, fantasizing about political assassinations will not stop.
15:10Democrats stick by their candidate.
15:12On this blowout controversy in the Commonwealth of Virginia after attorney general candidate
15:20Democrat Jay Jones fantasized in a sick, twisted way about killing a Republican.
15:27Fox News senior national correspondent Kevin Cork here in the studio with how the top Democrats
15:33are reacting.
15:34Kevin, this is such an unusual story.
15:36You would think they would all be in unison saying this is terrible and maybe he ought to
15:39get out.
15:40But that hasn't happened yet.
15:41Laura, in fact, Democrats are still hesitant, let's be honest, to denounce Jay Jones or call
15:45for him to step out of the race for AG in the Commonwealth.
15:49But tonight, Axios is actually reporting Jones has canceled a Thursday night fundraiser, the
15:54home of novelist David Baldacci, an indication the campaign may be, in fact, be in crisis mode.
15:59Jones, as you know, has acknowledged and apologized for those insane texts that he sent back in 2022,
16:05where he mused about saving two bullets for the then Republican House Speaker.
16:11But in the most Democrat Party thing of 2025 you can ever think of, even to this very moment,
16:18not a single prominent Democrat has called on him to get out of the race.
16:22Now, for his part, Jones claims on his website, none of these big names, if you want to call
16:26them that, have told him to hang up his spurs.
16:29Among them, Senator Cory Booker, Congressman Bobby Scott, Congressman Suhas,
16:34Supermanium, or even Congressman Eugene Venman, by the way, who had doubled down on his endorsement
16:39on Sunday.
16:40Ah, and not to be outdone, the very same can be said for the former Governor of the Commonwealth
16:46and current Senator Tim Kaine.
16:48Jay has apologized.
16:50The statements that he made were indefensible, but I've known Jay Jones for 25 years.
16:55I think those statements were not in character, and he has apologized.
16:59I wish other people in public life would sincerely apologize for stuff.
17:02So, no, I still am a supporter.
17:04And that right there really tells a story.
17:07By the way, Kaine was like 42, 25 years ago.
17:10Jones was like 11.
17:11I don't know what that's all about.
17:13Still unclear, however, is why the Dems gubernatorial candidate in the state, Abigail Spanberger,
17:18has yet to find herself on camera denouncing the text or even asking Jones to step down.
17:24The same, however, can't be said for Winston Sears, her opponent, and President Trump,
17:29both of whom have said very clearly they think he should step out of the race, Laura.
17:33Tim Kaine's comments, he said them on the Capitol steps and then inside the building.
17:38Yeah.
17:39They're, I think they're sticking with him.
17:41I mean, unless something else has happened.
17:43Really? You think so?
17:44I think they're going to try to ride this horse and hope people forget about those checks.
17:47I don't think people are forgetting.
17:48Kevin, I agree.
17:49So good to see you.
17:50Thank you so much.
17:52All right, we know Donald Trump is standing up for the American worker, America's factories.
17:57And he's making moves to secure the best trade deals.
18:00It's not easy.
18:01But today he met with a Canadian prime minister.
18:04We'll spend some time and we'll make some deals and we'll do some things that are good for both of our countries.
18:10We can renegotiate it and that would be good or we can just do different deals.
18:14We're allowed to do different deals if we were.
18:16We might make deals that are better for the individual countries.
18:19What's your problem?
18:20I don't care.
18:21I want to make whatever the best deal is for this country and also very much with Canada in mind.
18:25USMCA has to be kind of re-upped next year.
18:29That's what he's referencing there.
18:31So as Trump is working to try to bring more money, more jobs into the United States,
18:36China is trying to entice the administration by dangling the prospect, we're hearing, of a massive investment package
18:44to stop the pain that they're feeling from Trump's tariffs and trade restrictions.
18:49Bloomberg reporting that the Chinese floated a figure of one trillion dollars earlier this year.
18:56But come on.
18:57If they're willing to give us a trillion dollars to keep Taiwan, what do you think Taiwan's really worth?
19:03Well, Trump just can't take this bait.
19:06He's too smart for that.
19:07He won't.
19:08China has a long history of going back on their word.
19:10We can't allow ourselves to ever trust them in this type of situation.
19:14The truth is China needs us a lot more than we need them.
19:20Their factory output has slowed since we've stopped allowing them to take advantage of us.
19:26And as for their investment, we don't really need it.
19:29Trump is already investing hundreds of millions for the U.S. to manufacture and find our own rare earth minerals.
19:36And it is happening.
19:37So it's not worth risking our national security over any of this.
19:43Here to discuss, Michael Pillsbury, Heritage Foundation's senior advisor and a Fox News contributor.
19:48Michael, you know, I hear about the magnets.
19:51I hear about the rare earths.
19:53But what is going on with this trillion dollar dangle on the part of China?
19:59Well, Laura, it's great you're covering the issues in such detail.
20:02This is not the end of the talks, obviously.
20:05Both sides have been leaking what's going on.
20:08These are top secret negotiations.
20:10The Chinese have made some concessions.
20:12They really got scared when the tariff rate hit 150 percent.
20:16Now, Jameson Greer is talking about 50 percent may be the outcome.
20:20So there's and then there's now there's the new pressure from China demanding that President Trump say, I'm against independence of Taiwan.
20:29Not just being unconcerned or say it's up to you guys to have peace talks, but to actually condemn what Taiwan's been doing.
20:37I don't think President Trump will do that, but it shows the level of desperation the Chinese have.
20:42But did this they're just bringing up everything, Laura, the rare earth magnets, not buying soybeans.
20:48And now this weird offer.
20:50I don't know if Bloomberg's got it right.
20:52As I say, the two sides are a little bit about the position.
20:55Pretty detailed, right?
20:57It sounded true to me.
20:59It sounded 100 percent true to me, actually.
21:01And, Michael, I should say the chair of the select committee on China put out a statement warning that China is a foreign adversary that routinely cheats on its deals with America and it failed to fulfill its agreements with President Trump in the first term.
21:14China's true desire is to take advantage of our country's industry and our knowledge, stealing innovation and threatening jobs.
21:21China's weaponized its own market and companies against us for decades.
21:25We can't allow those companies to have more access to our economy and the magnet production in the United States.
21:31We can't have a Damocles sword hanging over our heads with China, who's our number one adversary in the world.
21:38Maybe I'm too simplistic here.
21:40Maybe I'm seeing this the wrong way.
21:42Please correct me if I'm wrong.
21:44I don't think I'm wrong, though.
21:45No, actually, you're not wrong.
21:47The problem is there are some voices inside the administration who want to take a much softer approach to China.
21:55Peter Nabarro named a lot of names in one of his books.
21:59These really knock down, drag out fights in the Oval Office in front of the president.
22:03I was present myself for some of them.
22:05The softer make a deal appeasement voices are still around.
22:09That's what I'm most concerned about.
22:11So, Laura, I beg you to keep covering this story.
22:13Your coverage is just fantastic.
22:15But if the coverage goes away and this is all done in the quiet of the night, I'm not happy with the agreement we're going to have.
22:22Neither will you be.
22:23So we've got to keep covering the issue.
22:25He's perhaps hearing from just one side a lot of this.
22:29Pay for the soybeans.
22:31We could pay for our own soybeans.
22:33We could do our own rare earths.
22:34And China can go walk off a bridge for all I care.
22:38All right, Michael, thank you very much.
22:40And coming up, a Border Patrol commander now has a bounty on his head.
22:45So other than the Latin kings, who's to blame?
22:48Senator Ted Cruz has a reaction next.
22:50Not only are Chicago liberals being exposed for their utter incompetence, but also for their moral bankruptcy.
22:59Instead of thanking federal law enforcement welcoming them, they use words that put targets on their backs.
23:06There is no invasion here.
23:08There is no insurrection here.
23:10And local and state law enforcement are on the job and managing what they need to.
23:15I refuse to let Donald Trump, Kristi Noem, and Gregory Bovino continue on this march toward autocracy.
23:24Big word.
23:25And tonight we are learning that the gang, the Latin Kings, has put out a hit on the man Pritzker just defamed, Border Chief Greg Bovino.
23:34The online post offered $2,000 for info, $10,000 if you take him down.
23:40Now the legal alien who posted that, Juan Espinosa Martinez, was arrested yesterday and faces charges for soliciting the murder of a senior law official.
23:49It is indeed emblematic of what our brave law enforcement officers and agents are facing across the nation.
23:56That was an illegal alien that was comfortable enough living here in the United States, an illegal alien gang member, to put a bounty out like that.
24:05And when we look at what the governor or the mayor are talking about, they are the reason that gang members feel comfortable enough to do something like that.
24:17Here to discuss is Senator Ted Cruz in the great state of Texas.
24:21Senator, now Charlie's been gone for not even three weeks, and now this, and this from a man who was one of the early favorites for the Democrats' 2028 run.
24:32Look, he's a billionaire with inherited wealth.
24:34He throws around rhetoric like it doesn't matter at all.
24:37He's not the only one.
24:39Gavin Newsom is doing the same thing.
24:41Hakeem Jeffries is doing the same thing.
24:43They demonize ICE relentlessly.
24:46You know, the week after Charlie was murdered, there was a sniper in Dallas, Texas, who opened fire on an ICE facility.
24:53I was right there on the ground within minutes of it happening.
24:56It is horrific, and that psychopath, like the psychopath who murdered Charlie, wrote on his shell casings his extreme left-wing ideology.
25:06This rhetoric has consequences, and you have Democrats who are cheering it on.
25:11You have Hakeem Jeffries saying that you should go after ICE agents, you should dox them, you should go after their home, and then they get mad.
25:19Why are they wearing masks?
25:20They're wearing masks because Democrats are putting targets on them, and it is grotesque, and it is dangerous.
25:28And where are the Democrats denouncing this language?
25:30Because I don't see any.
25:31No, I mean, they say we should be more civil, but then they never do anything.
25:35They never say anything.
25:37And, you know, Kristi Noem visited Portland today, so she landed there and confronted an illegal who got captured by ICE.
25:46Check this out.
25:47Let me know.
25:48Let you out?
25:49Yeah.
25:50No, and that let you out.
25:51You're under arrest.
25:52That's a criminal charge in this country, to be here illegally.
25:54We waited until we detained you.
25:56So now you will be removed from this country and never taken the chance to come back.
26:02Habla ingles.
26:03Well, look, for four years we had an invasion, and it was a deliberate invasion.
26:08The Democrats were in charge of that.
26:10They wanted it to happen.
26:11I think it was treasonous, Senator.
26:12I actually think this was high treason, what happened at the border.
26:15You know, it's interesting.
26:16You compare it to Obama.
26:18I joke that Biden did something I used to think was impossible.
26:21He made me miss Barack Obama.
26:24Because Obama, and he was left-wing, and you and I disagreed with almost all of his policies, but he actually deported millions of people.
26:32When it came to immigration, in many ways he followed the law.
26:36What Joe Biden and this White House did, there's no precedent for a president that says, to hell with the law.
26:41We're just going to let everyone go.
26:43And Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, they were the last mile of the human trafficking network.
26:48And it was literally every single day a different American was murdered, a different woman was raped, a different child was assaulted.
26:55By illegals they released, and not a Democrat has changed course.
27:00Instead, what do they do?
27:01You have Democrat senators fly down to El Salvador to have daiquiris with MS-13 human traffickers, and instead they demonize ICE and demonize law enforcement.
27:11Now, the government shut down, another big issue, so it's going to be dragging into perhaps another week.
27:17And the president said he's willing to strike a deal with the Democrats on health care. Watch.
27:24The Democrats are the ones that started this, and if you think about it, it's about health care to a large extent.
27:30It's about, we want great health care for people.
27:32We are speaking with the Democrats, and some very good things could happen with respect to health care.
27:38Would you make a deal with them on the ACA subsidies?
27:41Well, if we made the right deal, I'd make a deal, sure.
27:45Why should a deal be made with the Democrats? I wouldn't make any deal with them. Here's the deal. No deal.
27:50Yeah, look, I don't think there's going to be any deal on the shutdown.
27:53Come on.
27:54They've shut the government down. They've done it on purpose.
27:56They own it. Make them own it.
27:57The House has funded the government. They passed a clean, continuing resolution every day.
28:02Today, I went and voted to open the government. The Republicans all stood together and voted to open the government.
28:07And the Democrats all said, shut it down. They said to our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines, you don't get a paycheck.
28:13They said to single moms that are relying on the women, infants, and children program, we're cutting off your money.
28:19They said to federal workers in Virginia and Maryland, and by the way, the Virginia and Maryland senators voted to cut off the paychecks of all the federal workers in their states.
28:28And they're doing it. The reason they're doing it is because they want free government provided health care freely.
28:38MSNBC's Joe Scarborough confronted on viral best Biden ever clip.
28:46MSNBC host maintained his assessment based on personal interactions, despite pushback from Mark Halperin.
28:53MSNBC's Joe Scarborough was confronted with a viral clip of him deeming former President Joe Biden in the best Biden ever in March 2024 on Tuesday, standing by his assessment of the former president citing his personal interactions with him.
29:11Speaking to Mark Halperin during his show, next up with Mark Halperin, Scarborough watched the clip of himself where he argued that the former president was far beyond cognate.
29:23I've said for years now, but he's cognate, but I undersold it when I said he was cognate.
29:31He's far beyond cognate. In fact, I think he's better than he's ever been. Intellectually, analytically, because he's been around for 50 years, Scarborough said during a March 2024 Morning Joe broadcast.
29:43Start your tape right now because I'm about to tell you the truth and F you if you can't handle the truth. This version of Biden intellectually, analytically is the best Biden ever.
29:55After noting that Biden had good days and bad days, Halperin asked Scarborough, looking back at that, do you say, well, it was misleading to say best Biden ever without caveating it and saying except on the days when he's not the best Biden ever?
30:10Scarborough insisted he never saw the bad days personally. Earlier in the conversation, Scarborough detained multiple meetings he had with Joe Biden, during which the MSNBC host argued that Biden had a better attitude.
30:40analysis of the situation related to Ukraine and Russia that he had heard from most people. Halperin pushed back and told Scarborough, well, you did. You did because you saw him address a dead congresswoman and you saw him in South Carolina.
30:55Halperin argued he could show Scarborough several clips of days when the former president was not the best Biden ever and Scarborough pivoted the conversation to Trump.
31:07Scarborough argued he stumbled and bumbled around Mark. I mean, yeah, he certainly did. Donald Trump did. Other politicians did. And it's actually the same case as a lot of times when I've gone in and talked to Donald Trump.
31:21We go on to Donald Trump and I've heard the media narrative around Donald Trump and certainly I've been very critical of Trump. And when I leave, I have a better understanding, just like Jeffrey Goldberg did a couple of days ago, a better understanding of where Donald Trump is mentally.
31:37If Donald Trump is losing it, like people have said through the years or not. And so again, am I going to look at a clip that's gone viral and paying more attention to that than two and a half, three hours I had with a guy one on one going around the world? No, I'm just not going to. The MSNBC host said. Are some of the clips bad? Yeah, they certainly are bad.
31:59Put into proper context, I'm just not going to freak out and melt down on one or two clips here and there. The morning Joe host added. And again, he bumbled around and he stumbled around, but he has for quite some time. That didn't seem to me to get in the way of Joe Biden being able to analyse the most important issues.
32:23Scarborough went after former special counsel Robert Hurt in February 2024 for his report on the former president related to the classified document probe that showed Biden struggling with key memories, including when his son Buu died, when he left the vice presidency and why he was in possession of classified documents he shouldn't have had.
32:43I'm just saying this guy say such random, Scarborough said at the time, demanding that Hurt apologise for his report.
32:54Does he hope he gets a judgeship? I think he does. I think he hopes he gets a judgeship even if Donald Trump gets elected again, because he's trying out, because he humiliated himself with that display, Scarborough added.
33:06New audio of her Biden interview was released on Friday and CNN's Abby Phillips suggested her undersold the extent of Biden's lapses during the interview.
33:16Trump, Hegssef, announces Golden Dome, a game changer to protect American homeland.
33:31The $175 billion Golden Dome aims to counter growing ballistic missile threats from countries like Russia and China.
33:38President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegssef announced the U.S. will soon begin construction of a Golden Dome missile defence system.
33:49They say will be a next generation game changer, protecting the American homeland from outside adversaries.
33:57A similar system, the Iron Dome, has already been developed in Israel with U.S. assistance and has proven effective in repelling missile attacks.
34:05Now, Trump says a bigger, more technologically advanced, multi-layered dome system will soon be installed in America.
34:15The President announced the one big beautiful budget bill being discussed in Congress will include $25 billion in initial funding for the project, which he expects will cost $175 billion overall.
34:28He said he expects a major phase of the dome will be completed in under three years and that it will be fully functional and operational before the end of my term.
34:37He noted there is significant support for the project in Congress, quipping, it's amazing how easy this one is to fund.
34:45In the campaign, I promised the American people that I would build a cutting-edge missile defence shield to protect our homeland from the threat of foreign missile attacks.
34:56And that's what we're doing today, he said, adding that the Golden Dome will be capable of intercepting missiles even if they are launched from the other side of the world.
35:04Thank you so much.
