00:00Good evening, everyone. I'm Laura Ingram. This is Ingram Angle from Washington. Tonight,
00:04as always, thanks for spending time with us. It's only day one of the Schumer shutdown,
00:08and Democrats are already making fools of themselves. First, boasting on their way
00:13out of town that the shutdown was their choice. We got to make sure Americans have the health
00:18care that they need. And if that means we got to shut this government down, so be it.
00:23I thought that was some kind of comedy. How did Michiganders elect that goofball?
00:27He has zero concern about the disruption to federal employees and other Americans. It's
00:33not a good look. Even the Washington Post is warning Democrats about falling into the,
00:38quote, shutdown trap, saying that left-wing Democrats enter the shutdown from a position
00:43of weakness and that chances are slim that the two parties could ever come to terms that
00:47Democratic activists would view as a decisive victory. Yet the party's base wants them to
00:53fight anyway, even if it means holding the government hostage.
00:55Hmm. Nevertheless, that is exactly what the Democrats are doing.
01:01Hakeem Jeffries is getting outplayed and outmaneuvered, not just on the shutdown itself
01:05and the substance issues, but even in the meme wars involving cute sombreros and Mexican music.
01:11It was a xenophobic stereotype, which is why we've heard from many Latino organizations
01:17denouncing what took place. I'm not going to dwell on the president's erratic behavior in terms of
01:23the meme or the AI deepfake videos. The broader problem is it's deeply unserious. And this is a
01:30serious moment. We need to reopen the government. We need to enact a spending agreement that's
01:34bipartisan, that actually meets the needs of the American people. And we need to address the
01:38Republican health care crisis.
01:40Health care crisis. We're going to get into that, too. Thought Obamacare was supposed to fix all this.
01:45But the vice president continues to run circles around them and intellect and humor.
01:51I think it's funny. The president's joking and we're having a good time. You can negotiate in
01:56good faith while also poking a little bit of fun at some of the absurdities of the Democrats positions
02:00and even poking some fun at the absurdity of the Democrats themselves. I mean, I'll tell Hakeem
02:05Jeffries right now, I make the solemn promise to you that if you help us reopen the government,
02:10the sombrero memes will stop. The sombreros are out if you actually get some common sense.
02:15That's a fair bargain. But Democrats are not amused. They're blind to the obvious
02:20and deaf when convenient. Every Republican who's gone on TV the last 12 hours or so
02:26has called this the Schumer shutdown. What do you say about that name?
02:30Senator Schumer, can you hear me? I can't hear. It's like that old commercial from the 70s. Sorry,
02:43honey, can't hear you. Water's running. Well, they say hearing is the last thing to go, right? But
02:48we know Schumer's hearing is perfect when the woman speaking is AOC because she's acting like
02:55she's the boss of him. I saw some Republican members of Congress saying, oh, well, if we have
03:00this shutdown, it's because of AOC. Well, if that's the case, my office is open and you are
03:05free to walk in and negotiate with me directly. Negotiate with me directly. Okay, boys. Look
03:12out, Democrats. That's what I call an intraparty wedgie. There was a thought from the Republicans
03:18that AOC is directing this. And she said that senators are welcome to go to her office directly.
03:24Is she is she driving that? Why are you saying such a ridiculous thing?
03:27She is not directing this. She's wonderful. She's a real team player and the rest of that.
03:35You started by saying Republicans say that she's directing this. She is not. Hakeem Jeffries is.
03:42When Nancy points that bony finger around, you know, she's in trouble. It's always the case. It's
03:47a total tell. Well, she knows whose side Bernie is on, though, after supporting partisan Democrat
03:54cramdowns of unpopular policies during the Biden years with zero Republican support,
03:59he suddenly wants everyone to work together in a kumbaya moment or else.
04:04What you need is a bipartisan solution. But these guys have said it's my way or the highway. This is
04:10the way it's going to be. And that is kind of what Trumpism is about. That's that authoritarian
04:13tendency that we're seeing in America right now.
04:17So are you telling me you're willing to vote no every time leader?
04:20I am right. I am not going to allow.
04:23But Republicans are the ones holding Americans hostage now. OK.
04:28Thune gave Democrats another chance to make this right today. But once again,
04:32they've blocked the plan to keep the government open on the liberal side.
04:36So if Schumer really wanted to make this happen, he could, but he won't because he's beholden to
04:41the far left and he's scared of a girl. We're now joined by two men who have a front row seat to
04:47all of this. Oklahoma Senator Mark Wayne Mullen and Utah Senator Mike Lee. Senator Mullen,
04:51let's start with you. What's holding this up right now, Adil?
04:54Schumer's holding it up. I mean, when we say Schumer shut down, it's 100 percent Schumer shut down
04:58because his fear of AOC beating him in his primary election is absolutely making him run in fear.
05:05And I mean this because in 1996, by the way, I was a senior in high school. That was 29 years ago.
05:10Yeah. He was he was on the House floor. He was a congressman then.
05:14And he was railing against giving illegals subsidies or benefits because it encourages
05:21them to come here. Now, today, what the fight is over is they're wanting to strip all the
05:26one big, beautiful bill language out that cut the waste, fraud and abuse, which is one of them
05:31cutting the millions of illegals from getting those subsidies. They want to reinstate that.
05:36And they say that's not what it's about. But it literally strikes it line for line.
05:41Then the one big, beautiful bill to what their CR is. And at the same time, they want one point five
05:46trillion dollars to open the government for four weeks, which is six hundred billion above our defense
05:50budget. So, Senator, is is that what the American people need to understand here, that they want to
05:55relitigate what they lost last spring? They lost the big, beautiful bill debate. They didn't get
06:01their way. But now they want to hold the whole country hostage to try to put us into more debt.
06:06Borrow one point five trillion. We don't have the money. So I have to borrow the money to get their
06:10way. Is that where we are? Yes. Look, the Schumer shutdown boils down to this. They have terrible
06:14policies. Those terrible policies caused them to lose elections. After the lost elections, they lose
06:19legislative battles. Now they want to relitigate the legislative battles they lost because the
06:24American people hate their policies. Look, these guys are arsonists. They're arsonists who mistakenly
06:29believe that they can set fire to a building in the light of day and then call the fire department
06:34as long as they're recording themselves on their phones, calling the fire department that nobody
06:38will suspect us of arson. But this is what they're doing. They're doing it deliberately. It's going to
06:43harm them because Russ Vogt, the OMB director, has been dreaming about this moment, preparing this moment
06:49since puberty. Russ Vogt has a plan and that plan is going to succeed in empowering, further empowering
06:56Trump. This is going to be the Democrats' worst nightmare and it's of their own making.
07:00Yeah. So Senator Mullin, so this means these cuts, these doge cuts could actually be made permanent
07:07by the Democrats' refusal to reopen the government? Absolutely. That's a great deal for us.
07:13They literally, by going to a shutdown, they succeed their authority to the president,
07:19who the president now gets to deem these agencies, if they're open, if they're closed. If the
07:25employees are essential or non-essential, and keep in mind in 2017, when we went into a shutdown and
07:30in 2018, because Chuck Schumer led us to a shutdown then too, President Trump said, if you're not an
07:35essential employee for the federal government, you're fired. Now he gets to go in and choose
07:41who's essential, who's not essential. And the Democrats are the one that hold the cards on
07:45this one because they're the one that gave their authority away to the president of the United States.
07:49Regular people kind of see this and they think, wait a second. So you're saying that only
07:52essential employees need to show up to work, right? It's like a snowstorm, only if you're essential.
07:58Doesn't that kind of make the doge point that we have a lot of people working in the federal
08:02government who aren't essential, Senator? Or is that a dumb question?
08:06No, that is absolutely what we're dealing with here. Those who are not essential are probably
08:11outnumbering those who are essential. And this is the magic, again, of the fact that we've got a
08:17White House team. President Trump and the team he's assembled is ready to go on this. They
08:21understand the additional authority that the president gets during a time of shutdown.
08:25It is beyond my ability to understand why the Democrats couldn't see this coming,
08:28partly because they've got the mainstream media running interference for them. They live in a
08:32small echo chamber in which they think everything they do is art. The Washington Post is onto this.
08:38So there, I mean, that editorial was shocking, saying you're stepping into a trap and you guys
08:44aren't going to be able to get out of it. Caught in a trap, as Elvis said.
08:47Well, keep in mind, this same funding, the same language, word for word, they voted on a year
08:53ago. When we were keeping the government up a year ago, keeping it open underneath Biden,
08:58this is the exact same language. They voted on it again in December. They voted on it again in
09:03January, all underneath Biden. And they voted again on March. And now they're saying that they've
09:08got to make changes. Now they're saying that they're going to shut down government and put these
09:12government employees' jobs at risk. Republicans are trying to keep it open. We want to keep it open.
09:16They're the ones that are saying that it's not even worth it.
09:20Occasionally, Senator Lee, a Democrat will speak the truth. We give an A for honesty to one
09:26congressman, Roe Connell.
09:28The amount of money that actually is going towards people who are undocumented is such a small portion
09:36of the Medicaid cuts or the Affordable Care Act, if at all. Anyone who looks at the numbers will
09:42acknowledges 90 to 95 percent of the funding we're talking about is talking about funding for
09:48American citizens. OK, well, come on again. The truth is the truth. Migrants, different categories
09:56will get money. The ERs are getting crushed by the cost of health care for illegals. Yes.
10:01Yes, absolutely. Roe Connell is speaking the truth. Sometimes the mask slips. It slipped here.
10:07It revealed what they're doing. They know exactly what they're doing. They're going to lose.
10:11In the end, do you think this gets fixed sooner rather than later, Senator Mullen?
10:16Well, there's always a point that causes you to have to come to the table, right?
10:20So much political pain.
10:21Right. Either it's political pain or an event takes place. The next big event that's going to take place
10:26right now is going to be the 15th and 16th. Today, all military got their paycheck in full. Tomorrow,
10:33all federal employees will get their paycheck in full. In two weeks, the 15th, the military pay is
10:38supposed to go out and federal employees supposed to go out. That money won't be there. They're not
10:42going to last till then. And so I don't think they last that long either, but I think it'll be open
10:46at least by then. No way. Gentlemen, great to see you both here on set. All right. Well,
10:51we're talking about Obamacare. But remember, Democrats, you know, they're pinning their shutdown
10:55argument on the supposed goal of saving health care for millions of Americans. It would be more
11:00affordable for people who need it most. That's what they're saying. But wait,
11:03I thought Obamacare was supposed to fix the affordability issue.
11:08The plan I'm announcing tonight would meet three basic goals. It will slow the growth of health
11:13care costs for our families, our businesses and our government. But of course, Obamacare made
11:20health care more unaffordable. For many, it feels more like ration care. Doctors retired, plans hike
11:27their out of pocket costs and deductibles. And over the past 15 years, health insurance premiums
11:32have skyrocketed by nearly 85 percent for the average family. Insurance companies have cleaned
11:39up, by the way. And in 2010, the year Obamacare was signed into law, the average family premium for
11:44employer-based coverage was about 13,770. And last year, it hit $25,572. That is criminal.
11:54So you give Democrats a problem to fix, and they'll make it worse. And now in the shutdown
11:59fight, they're trying to cover their tracks, but Americans are not buying it. Americans are not
12:05stupid. They're very smart. They know that by expanding the coverage pool to include millions
12:10of migrant kids, ER visits on top of pre-existing condition coverage, someone had to pay for this,
12:16costs real money. Many hospitals now are barely holding on. Thanks, President Obama.
12:22And coming up, why was a male sex offender let off the hook for allegedly prowling in girls'
12:30locker rooms in Fairfax County, Virginia? Virginia Attorney General Jason Meares, next.
12:36Imagine as a parent, you're with your little girl, and you're confronted with this situation.
12:41On the first day of her classes last September, my daughter and I walked in the locker room,
12:45and a biological male who identifies as transgender and who also happened to be a registered sex offender
12:50was standing there completely naked with no regard for the other patrons among whom were at least a
12:57dozen little girls. Richard Cox, a trans fake woman, is the alleged deviant who likes to prowl
13:04around spaces that are supposed to be safe for girls and women, something Democrats used to be in
13:10favor of. Police in Arlington County, Virginia, say it happened at least to two high school locker rooms
13:16and a rec center. Girls' locker rooms in their notoriously left-wing Fairfax County were also
13:22among this deviant's favorite hangout spots.
13:26You're now being informed that you're trespassing there, so there's nothing to it from right now.
13:31Right now it's just like simply off the property, and then now you've been informed you can't come
13:35back on the property. That's it.
13:36Okay. Did anybody give you, like, a superior's name that passed down this instruction?
13:41You can contact whatever their management says.
13:43Other than the people in there at the desk.
13:45No.
13:45Did you get anybody else's name?
13:46I got their management information, yeah.
13:49According to WJLA, a police detective testified that she found a schedule of children's swim classes
13:56on that freak's phone, along with child pornography. But here's the really infuriating twist. Arlington
14:03County is prosecuting the individual, but Fairfax County, no go. And why not? Well, the Soros-funded
14:12attorney, Steve Descano, says he found no reason to charge Mr. Cox. This guy's been a total disaster,
14:19by the way. In July, a video went viral of a man abducting a cut toddler from a Fairfax County mall.
14:24He had a long rap sheet, was just let out on bond for a felony hit and run three days prior.
14:30Apparently, before the abduction, Descano's office had requested to withdraw approximately
14:3510 criminal charges, including violent felonies against that guy. And Descano is the same attorney
14:42who offered a less than two-year plea deal to an illegal alien accused of attempting to kidnap
14:48and rape a four-year-old girl. Two judges rejected that sweetheart deal, and Descano dropped the case.
14:57Here with me is Virginia Attorney General Jason Meares. I was running for re-election.
15:02Mr. Lieutenant Governor, it wouldn't surprise you that Descano fired back at these allegations that
15:09he somehow was responsible for any of this, saying that this is a sad, last-ditch political stunt by a
15:15man who's about to lose an election. Lies, half-truths, distortions don't change the fact
15:19that voters elected me twice to run our justice system this way. And in doing so,
15:24we've kept Fairfax the safest large county of its size in the country. Your response to this Soros
15:31prosecutor? Well, I think, you know, you can't hide the bodies, first of all. He constantly talks
15:37about lower numbers, but lower numbers are there when you don't prosecute the cases. And the reality
15:41is the Richard Cox situation was completely and utterly preventable. It is exhibit A of what
15:47happens when you have a prosecutor that has a criminal first, victim last mindset, and they
15:52view themselves as a social worker. So Richard Cox is a class three sex offender in Virginia. He was
15:57convicted back in the 90s for indecent liberties with a child. The records show he said exposing himself
16:05the children provided a thrill for him. And then time and time again, we saw where Toscano could
16:11have kept this individual off the streets. He failed to do so. In 2020, his first year in office,
16:17he was charged with three felony failures to register as a sex offender. Three felony counts
16:22after numerous violations. Toscano reduced, dropped the felonies, no-prostate felonies, and simply
16:28reduced it to a simple misdemeanor. And then this summer, he went to Planet Fitness.
16:33He got access to the women's locker room. And there was a complaint filed against him for
16:38decent exposure. Again, Toscano only failed to prosecute the case. But at the time,
16:44that Planet Fitness was right next to a daycare center. When you're a class three sex offender,
16:49you're not allowed to be with 100 feet of where there's a child daycare center. He could have
16:53prosecuted him then. He failed to do his job a second time. And the result, him later that year,
16:59going into both the Arlington and Fairfax rec centers, as you've noticed, he literally had
17:04the swim class schedule on his phone. He was hunting for little girls. I find these actions
17:11deplorable, and it's making Virginians less safe. Yeah, this is not, this should not be political.
17:16Okay. Toscano, the Soros-supported prosecutor, is claiming, oh, this is, you're just trying to win
17:23the, you know, a re-election. You want to, you want to win the race. You want, what, is this true
17:28or not? Do we have deviants running around Northern Virginia or not? And earlier this year, everyone has
17:35to understand this. This same prosecutor, Mr. Toscano, dropped a felony charge against another
17:41illegal alien accused of strangling a woman. And of course, in exchange for a lesser guilty plea.
17:47The victim says Toscano lied to her about it. She says she was told by the attorneys that
17:52Ramos-Guron would serve 15 to 16 years in prison. And she agreed with that because she feared for
17:58her safety. But since Toscano's office agreed to the plea deal, he only served around two months
18:04at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Now he's back out in the community. Lovely. Mr. Attorney
18:10General. Well, this is, listen, this is not about politics. It's not about left or right. It's
18:16about right or wrong. And the reality is, I said, my role as attorney general is being
18:20the people's protector. I have asked for the General Assembly to give me the authority to
18:24intervene when you have particularly the children are the victims of sexual crimes and sexual
18:29violence. The Democrats in the General Assembly have blocked it precisely for cases like this.
18:34Victims deserve a second chance. This is exactly what happens when they view themselves as a social
18:39worker, not a prosecutor. Because in Toscano's mind, the defendant is a victim as well. In his
18:44mind, the defendant is a victim of so-called society or the system. The reality is Dick Cox
18:50should have never been in a position ever to harm another innocent Virginian ever again. He was
18:56because Toscano failed to do his job. Well, I prematurely anointed you lieutenant governor of the
19:01great commonwealth of Virginia. But Mr. Attorney General, I know that's the position you're running
19:05for. Thank you very much for joining us tonight. Best of luck to you. All right, coming up more on
19:10this, because Democrats are actively trying to prevent the worst of the worst, the bad hombres,
19:17from getting arrested. Someone get up a collection because J.B. Pritzker must be very unhappy tonight.
19:25Brandon Johnson, the mayor of Chicago, must be down in the dumps. Got to send them something
19:29because Trump is actually fixing the criminal mess that they refuse to confront.
19:35TDA gang members in Chicago got a surprise this week, an unexpected drop-in that involved
19:42a Blackhawk helicopter and hundreds of federal agents. Fox's Mike Tobin was on the scene for all
19:47of it. In the dark of night, federal agents storm an old apartment building on Chicago's south side.
19:53They had developed information that criminal, illegal immigrants had taken the place over.
19:58So a joint operation with the FBI, ATF, Border Patrol, and ICE brought in federal manpower to
20:05take control of the apartment. It's hard to see, but there's a helicopter right there on this building,
20:10and that helicopter has just inserted snipers for the protection of all these federal agents you can
20:16see entering the building. What they are after, six particular individuals associated with Trende
20:24Aragua. They say these individuals are responsible for dealing with long guns and handguns, as well
20:31as drugs. More than a dozen were detained. At least one has a tattoo commonly associated with
20:36the Trende Aragua gang. Fox News senior correspondent Mike Tobin is here to tell us more. Mike,
20:43what do we know about some of the illegals who were arrested? Well, there were six individuals
20:49that they were looking for who were associated with Trende Aragua, also associated with dealing in
20:54drugs and guns. It's not clear if they got those six individuals. They did get 37 individuals that
21:00they've detained. A lot of them are from Venezuela. Proving that they are these individuals or making
21:05the connection with Trende Aragua is going to be difficult because those guys don't carry
21:09membership cards. But what you had at this particular apartment building, you had a bunch of
21:13squatters. Ultimately, the illegal squatters moved in. And when you have that illegal,
21:18undocumented population, there's always a criminal element that ultimately shows individuals around
21:22knowing that they can't run to the police because they have undocumented status.
21:28Well, Mike, the problem is here is Chicagoans have been reporting for, you know, better part of
21:36eight and nine months that, you know, they don't have the manpower to fight against this criminal
21:41element. Many minorities and, you know, urban areas are saying we need help. And yet there's the
21:48political fight about who's going to take on this problem or frankly, whether it's even a problem
21:54at all. We saw that with Johnson versus Trump and with Pritzker versus Trump.
21:58Well, you know, when Mayor Johnson says that the crime numbers are down in Chicago, they are in fact
22:06down, but down from a dramatic high. So it's really not a point. You've got people in the poor areas who
22:11are welcoming the influx of immigration enforcement. You've probably heard from a lot of people from the
22:16south side of Chicago and the west side of Chicago. In fact, who've been on your show, who've been
22:20complaining about this for a long time. When the Border Patrol agents did their walk around downtown,
22:25some people did, you know, flip them the bird and things of that nature. But you also had a lot
22:29of people applauding for them because they want to see this cleaned up in Chicago.
22:33Well, Mike, we'll be following it. Thank you so much.
22:40Hmm. I got it.
22:43No problem.
22:44Do you need more promise?
22:45No, it's all right.
22:45The order by U.S. District Judge, Dabney Frederick, came amid a lawsuit by Central
23:07Air, Trabajadores, Unidos and other immigrant right groups against Treasury Secretary Scott
23:13Besant. Plaintiffs, Central de Trabajadores, Unidos, Immigrant Solidarity, Dupage, Somos
23:22Un Pueblo, Unidos and Inclusive Action for the City brings the action seeking declaratory
23:28and induced relief to prevent the Internal Revenue Service from sharing personal tax information
23:33with the Department of Homeland Security, DHS, for immigration enforcement purposes. Before
23:39the court is the plaintiff's motion for preliminary injunction 28 for the reasons that follow. The
23:46court will deny the motion. At its core, this case presents a narrow legal issue. Does the
23:54memorando of the understanding between the IRS and the DHS violate the Internal Revenue Code? It does
24:00not. The order continued. Non-profits Central de Trabajadores Unidos and Immigrant Solidarity Dupage,
24:09representing immigrant workers in the Chicago area, brought the lawsuit Secretary of the
24:14Treasury, Scott Besant, the IRS and Com... Com... Com... Com... Can we slow down this part a little bit? Yeah, this is, uh, fun. Should've studied Spanish.
24:29Yeah, I got that. I got that. It's just hard because I had the tongue twister following it, you know? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Thank
24:44Thank you. Non-profits Central... Sen...
24:51Don't... I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it.
24:56Non-profits Central de Trabajadores... Ah, sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Non-profits Central de Trabajadores Unidos and Immigrant Solidarity Dupage,
25:13Dupage, representing immigrant workers in the Chicago area, brought the lawsuit against Secretary of the Treasury,
25:20Scott Besant, the IRS and Commissioner of Internal Revenue, Melanie Croce, seeking to block the disclosure
25:27of personal information of taxpayers and other confidential tax records to the Department of Homeland Security, DHS,
25:34for immigration enforcement purposes. In a statement to Fox News, Digital Tricia McLolin,
25:41the DHS Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs, said information sharing across all federal agencies to identify illegal immigrants
25:48is essential in order to determine what public safety and terror threats may exist so we can neutralize them, scrub these individuals
25:56from voter rolls, as well as identify what public benefits these aliens are using at taxpayer expense.
26:05Under President Trump's leadership, the government is finally doing what it should have done all along,
