00:00All right, hi people, it's Shakes here. I'm here to do an unboxing for you guys today of
00:05Kamen Rider Amazon, the fifth, at this point, I believe, Kamen Rider series from Disco Tech,
00:12fourth chronologically. So, yeah. Again, to recap, they had Black RX, V3, and X, and now we have this,
00:25plus they have, I think it's Stronger as the next series, and then I'm just assuming, I think there's
00:29two or three more series after that, they have those, is my assumption, because someone told me
00:35on Reddit, in the Kamen Rider subreddit, that Disco Tech, I think it's the owner, they announced
00:44on a stream at some point months ago that they bought a lot of shows from Toei, so yeah, which,
00:52and I think that was just maybe the Tokusatsu shows that they were talking about, but yeah,
00:56you can definitely tell they did buy a lot of licenses for a lot of shows from Toei, because
01:01they have pretty much all, I'm pretty sure, I'm sure that they still have a bunch of Metal
01:06Heroes to release, and then they have a bunch of Kamen Rider, and they also have the various
01:13Digimon series and movies, and yeah, which is great, honestly. But yeah, but yeah, so we have
01:23Kamen Rider Amazon. So here we go, with the front cover, which is pretty nice, I like that they do
01:31a collage of sorts, um, yeah, you have the main character, always have to go with spiders for at
01:40least one of the enemies, don't you? Uh, Shotaro Shamori. Anyways, uh, then him and his Kamen Rider
01:48form, I'm assuming that's one of the main villains. Someone's gonna laugh at me in the comments. Uh,
01:53Kamen Rider Amazon, you have the Kamen Rider in Japanese above it, so yeah. And this was actually
02:01taken from, I'm assuming, I think it was a PNG of the, uh, reboot Kamen Rider Amazon's series that
02:09was on Amazon for a while, because I think it was co-produced with them, and they used this as part of the
02:16logo, though they branded it as Amazon Riders. I'm hoping that we can get, like, Blu-ray releases for
02:22a lot of the newer shows as well, um, after Shot Factory's done with the Showa era. So, yeah. And I'm
02:31very much hoping that, um, Shot Factory will release, uh, the first series on Blu-ray at some point.
02:38But, yeah. So, the spine, you got Amazon's mask right there, or helmet, whatever it is. The logo,
02:46again, Toku Time, and this is TT17. This is just for Toku Time and the number of release that this is
02:54through that sub-label. We got the same thing on the other side, and then the back, Welcome to the
03:00Jungle. A description of the series and set, uh, pictures of some of the villains, and I'm assuming
03:09that the, some of these are also stills from some of the episodes. You have Kamen Rider Amazon right
03:13there. You have Amazon on his bike. Interesting jungle pattern right there on the back. Video 1.33x1,
03:214x3 full-frame OAR, 1080p HD, audio Japanese linear PCM, linear PCM 2.0, subtitles in English, 24 episodes
03:30on two discs, because this series was unfortunately ended early, I believe, because, um, they, like,
03:39switched, I think it was this series that they switched, um, TV stations that were airing and
03:46co-funding these shows, um, so it was ended early. It's either that or one of the other
03:52Showa series, but I can't remember. But yeah, uh, 580 minutes, unrated. So yeah, so it's half the
03:59length of the last few Kamen Rider series, so yeah. So then right here, got Amazon again, um,
04:07Kamen Rider Amazon. I do like how the back is a pretty realistic pick. It probably was taken off of,
04:13like, uh, Google Images or something, but I'm, I, uh, the, I'm sure that this is a Japanese forest,
04:19a forest somewhere, um, in Japan. But yeah, you got the Amazon logo, the spine, and then the back,
04:30which is the same as a slipcover. On the inside here, you got the two discs, 12 episodes on each
04:36disc, plus some special features. Disc 1 has a couple interviews. I think disc 2 has a couple
04:40interview, or just, actually I think it's the, um, isn't it like the 40th anniversary retrospective
04:47or something? But yeah, they're ported from the, um, the Japanese Blu-rays, and then there's also the,
04:53the belts commercial that they showed when the show was airing, as well as the series promo. So yeah,
04:59this has a decent amount of bonus features, not as much as some of the other series, but they are
05:03there from the Japanese Blu-rays, all subtitled, so that is nice. And on the inside here, we have
05:11the inside artwork with a collage of picture, production pictures and stills from some of the
05:18episodes. Um, and then you have Kamen Rider Amazon right there, which is the same picture,
05:23or PNG of Amazon from the slipcover, and the Amazon logo right down there. So yeah, I do
05:34very much appreciate the work Disco Tech puts into these things. I'm also keeping up with, um,
05:43uh, what is it? Zets. So be on the lookout for a video going over or talking about the first five
05:49episodes when I get a chance to record it. So yeah. Um, so yeah, so not much else to say.
05:57So links, description, all the shit, subscribe for once, and I'll see you guys in the next one.
