00:01All right, hi people, it's Chase here, and I'm here to do unboxings and reviews for these two
00:07SH Figure Arts. I decided to do them as a two-in-one for this video because basically they're the
00:12same
00:12character, just different versions of them from the same series. Vegeta from Dragon Ball Daima
00:20and Vegeta Mini from Dragon Ball Daima. So yeah, they initially released these, well, like two
00:26years ago, and then I just got them now. One was at Target, the other one was at Walmart, so
00:33I just
00:34picked those up. So yeah, and yeah, they are the same character from two different points in the
00:41series, or actually a couple different points, because the main plot point in Daima is that every
00:46major character gets wished to be the age of about six, is what they get aged down to. Now there
00:54was
00:54a bit of confusion in regards to that, because they labeled these versions of the characters as
00:59mini. The wish, specifically in Daima, I remember this from the first episode, is that their ages are
01:07reverted to the age of first graders, is how the Crunchyroll subs that I saw when the episode
01:14initially dropped two years ago said. So that's around six years old. So yeah, all the adult
01:22characters are aged back to six, and then the kid characters are aged back to like, I don't know,
01:27like two or three. So maybe a little younger. But yeah. So they are supposed to be children.
01:35And I know that there's a weird thing with the voicing in both English and Japanese,
01:41and all that, but they are supposed to be children. So yeah. And they specifically cast
01:45actors that sounded like younger versions of the characters. So yeah. And in the English
01:49dub, they had Stephanie Nadolny back as young Goku. And then they had Masako Nozawa voicing young
01:56Goku again, because she always has to voice every single version of Goku and every single male
02:02family member of Goku's except for Raditz. So yeah. Um, but just to have that preamble. So
02:12yeah. And these are two distinct, or the adult version of Vegeta is a distinctive version of
02:19Vegeta, because he has slightly different clothes in regards to his, um, design, I believe. So
02:26yeah. Um, but let's get on with this, shall we? So for Vegeta Mini, um, yeah, it's just a chibi
02:36version of him, basically. Uh, you can see Vegeta Mini Daima, got a picture of the character right
02:43there, or the figure, which is pretty good. So you got the Toei Animation Certificate of License Grant
02:51Dragon Ball Daima, the Toei Animation's quality sticker right there. I'm trying to make sure you guys
02:58can't see it. Toei Animation's Bandai and all that. Got a bunch of different pictures of the figure on
03:06the side there. The other side, top, the bottom, and then on the back, you got the character in different
03:13poses and everything. Really didn't like how this was like the same amount of money as this one, even
03:18though it's a smaller character unless there's less plastic. But, what can we do? So, yeah.
03:28So, here we go with the adult Vegeta and everything. Uh, so yeah. Everything's basically the same layout
03:37as the other one. So, yeah. And it looks like a lot of the pictures are very similar. Maybe just
03:46in
03:46different places. So, yeah. That's pretty cool. And you got the bottom, top, other side, and then the
03:53back, character in different poses and everything. So, yeah. I do like how this is just the box from
04:00the Japanese release, but it just has a sticker put on it. Basically, every English release has this.
04:06I'm assuming other language releases have these as well, where everything here is just translated into
04:12English. Because on the back, you can very much see this is in Japanese. Um, which, you know,
04:18it does make sense to do that rather than just have two different boxes with the different languages on
04:24them. So, yeah. At least to me, it does. So, yeah. So, here we go. Uh, I'm gonna remove this.
04:42Uh, so yeah. So, yeah. So, here we go with the mini Vegeta figure. Looks pretty good, honestly. Looks
04:50very, very skinny. Not gonna lie. Yeah, you can see the alternate faces, which are pretty good.
04:57Him with a scowling face. And with the, or the crossed arms that you can put instead of his regular
05:02arms. Uh, slightly different hair as well. Uh, and then the different hands. So, yeah. So, to
05:16bring him out. So, yeah. Really, really small. But, yeah. So, to go into the articulation. Feet. Uh,
05:26they have a decent amount of range going forward, but backward, no, because of the smallness of the
05:30joints and everything. The, uh, toes can go up like you'd expect. Knees are on a single joint,
05:39but they give you a decent range of motion there. The legs only go up a certain amount
05:46just because of the limited range of motion and everything. But you can put them in a pretty good
05:53range of motion. Feet can obviously do a 360. So, yeah. Then you have, um, his arms where his
06:03shoulder is move just basically up in a 90 degree angle as well as a 360. Like I said, decent
06:11range
06:11of movement. The elbows are on a single ball joint because of how the arms are. So, yeah. And then
06:17his hands, 360, and then they do have a small range of movement on that. And then his head
06:27comes off way too easily if you bend it too far. But, yeah. You can have a decent range
06:35of movement there. I don't know if they thought this all the way through when they were designing
06:40it. But I guess, what can you do? Maybe? I don't know. At least it's, at least it's easy
06:49enough and it's designed to pop off and go back on. So, I'll give them credit there. So,
06:56we got the adult Vegeta, which I, there is a Super Saiyan 3 variant for this Vegeta that they,
07:04I think, I don't know if it's still on pre-order, I think they recently released it. So, here
07:10we go with the adult Vegeta. He has three different faces, his alternate hair. Basically, they have
07:16the same kinds of things as each other, just in different scales and slightly different across
07:22the two of them. You got the adult Vegeta figure right there. Different hands. He has a lot more
07:28hands than his, uh, mini self. And then, the crossed arms. I thought the, it's with Piccolo.
07:37Actually, no, I think Piccolo also had that, the crossed arms. Um, I just know that they, um,
07:44for some figures, when they re-released them in the last several years, they, uh,
07:48and, like, slightly redesigned them and made them in a, like, a newer kind of, like, designing. They, um,
07:53they had it so you can just do the, uh, the crossed arms with the regular arms. And I think
07:59you have, like, maybe different, um, hands or whatever. But, I guess for some, nope. Because
08:04I'm, I'm assuming this just reuses the older Vegeta body. Maybe it's slightly different,
08:10but I'd have to compare it to my Super Saiyan, or my Super Vegeta figure. Um, I'm not going
08:18to do that right now. So, here we go with the character, or the figure itself, which,
08:23looks pretty good. They have Vegeta's design down pretty well. So, not really too much
08:29different there, I assume, from other Vegeta figures that have this design. So, yeah, it's
08:35just matching what's in the artwork for Daima. So, yeah. So, you just have that. So, in terms
08:41of articulation, his feet go back and forth pretty well. Toe joints obviously go up, which
08:49is pretty good. Uh, knees are on a double ball joint, which is really good. Um, legs go
08:56up pretty far in a 90 degree angle, which is nice. You can spin them around, which is nice.
09:02And then you have that 360. Legs on the 360. Just a lot more comfortable in regards to how
09:09you can do that. Something I forgot to show off with the Goku figure I just did a review
09:14of. You can move his torso around pretty well. But, uh, unfortunately not too well, because,
09:21well, it's hollow under there, because you need the flexibility. But yeah. Um, so we have
09:27the shoulder articulation, um, pretty good. A little bit over a 90 degree angle. This you
09:35can move in a 360. Uh, elbows are on a double ball joint. Uh, gloves, I think, yeah, you can
09:43move this on a 360. I don't know if you noticed that. There we go. Just showing that off. And
09:52then, hands, you can move back and forth right here. Move that on a 360 and all that. It's
10:00head. Good range of motion. Doesn't automatically come off when you bend it at a certain angle.
10:07So, yeah, moving in a 360. So, yeah, and it looks like his head, um, I think you have to
10:17take it off. And then, yeah, that's how you remove the face. So, that's actually pretty
10:25good. Um, just showing that off right there. So, yeah, so that's pretty good in terms of
10:36that. So, yeah. So, we have both of these figures. Um, they're pretty good. I would say
10:44the adult Vegeta is a bit better than the mini version because, well, the mini version
10:50is a smaller body and, um, it thus suffers from a bit of problems in regards to flexibility
10:59and poseability in places and whatnot. But I don't really think anyone expected too much
11:05of that, um, or too much from that from this figure. But it's otherwise, um, pretty good.
11:11The adult Vegeta is just better because, well, it's just taking, what, a previous mold of
11:17Vegeta's body and just adapting it for the Daima, uh, variant of him. So, yeah, you get
11:25a good amount of stuff with the three different faces, the crossed arms, the different hair,
11:30and the extra hands and everything. So, I would say two good figures. So, if you're interested
11:35in getting either or both of them, have at it. Um, I do recommend them. So, yeah, guys,
11:40uh, not much else to say. So, link, subscribe, subscribe if you want, and I'll see you guys
11:45in the next one.
