00:00Hello there, good afternoon. After the stormy weather over the weekend, it's set to be a more dry and settled picture, particularly across the south as we head over the coming days. And the reason for this, well, it's all due to high pressure, bringing us mostly dry, settled conditions, some wet and windy weather at times across parts of the northwest.
00:17This system clearing its way southwards through Wednesday, so bringing in some more cloud perhaps before high pressure, eventually re-establishing itself from the west later into the week and possibly as we head through into the weekend.
00:30Before we get on to that, though, I just want to rewind the clock and, of course, talk about this afternoon.
00:35So it's still fairly wet and windy across western parts of Scotland. We could see some heavier downpours associated with this feature at times, perhaps a bit more cloud across northern areas of England.
00:44But for most, it is a dry, settled picture, mostly light winds and plenty of sunshine.
00:49Should be feeling quite warm in that sunshine too. Ice reaching around 20 to 21 degrees Celsius across the southeast.
00:55Even eastern areas of Scotland should reach the low 20, so feeling warm here.
01:00Now, through the course of the evening, outbreaks of rain will continue across northern parts of Scotland, eventually clearing the northern isles through the course of the night before another band of rain starts to push into northwest Scotland and northern Ireland.
01:11So quite a wet start here for many. Elsewhere, more clouds starting to push into the west.
01:16This could be thick enough to produce some light outbreaks of drizzle, particularly across Wales and parts of the southwest around any hilly areas.
01:23And elsewhere, still plenty of cloud. Where we see any breaks in that cloud, we could even see some mist and fog develop during the early hours of the morning.
01:30And with more cloud around, it means temperatures won't drop too low.
01:33So many towns and cities reaching lows of around 11 to 12 degrees Celsius.
01:37So more of a gloomy start as we head into tomorrow.
01:41Outbreaks of light rain pushing into Scotland, northern Ireland, eventually pushing through into the Scottish borders, through into northern parts of England, perhaps northern parts of Wales later into the afternoon.
01:51But it will clear its way across western Scotland.
01:53So a much brighter day here, still fairly breezy.
01:56And elsewhere, there's going to be a bit more cloud around tomorrow.
01:59Some breaks at times, allowing some brighter spells.
02:01But it does mean temperatures won't be quite as warm as they are this afternoon.
02:05Highs reaching around 17 to 18 degrees Celsius.
02:09Through into the evening, we'll continue to see this band of mostly light outbreaks of rain and drizzle continue to push its way southward.
02:16Still plenty of cloud to the south of this.
02:19So once again, quite a grey start as we head through into Wednesday morning.
02:22But to the north of this, sky is much clearer.
02:24So a chance we could see some frost, perhaps even some mist and fog develop during the early hours of the morning.
02:29So a bit of a north-south split as we head our way into Wednesday.
02:33But for more information on the week ahead weather, don't forget you can catch Alex Birkhill later on YouTube.
