00:00Hello, Governor Hannity and the radical left. They continue to take over the Democratic Party
00:07and old leaders, the old guard, if you will, they're not too happy about it. They're even
00:13lashing out. Now, take a look at what Nancy Pelosi had to say about AOC, the real leader
00:19of the Democratic Party. Take a look. There was a thought from the Republicans that AOC is
00:23directing this, and she said that senators are welcome to go to her office directly.
00:27Is she driving that? Why are you saying such a ridiculous thing?
00:32I'm just quoting what AOC said. She said go to her office directly. Do you think there's
00:36any credibility to that? She is not directing this.
00:39By the way, I'll be honest. I'm all for more Democratic infighting. We'll have more on this

01:19All right, that's some serious street fighting. He will join us momentarily in an interview you
01:24don't want to miss. But first, tonight, the Schumer shutdown is officially upon us. We'll get to my
01:29monologue straight ahead. But first, our very own Chad Pergram has the very latest tonight from Capitol
01:34Hill. Chad, as predicted, here we are. And it might go on for a while.
01:39Yeah, we don't really know here. Russ Vogt, the budget director, he had a conference call with
01:44House Republicans today and indicated that he might start firing some of these folks in the
01:49next day or two. He didn't offer many specifics. But some people think that might be an impetus to
01:53get a deal with the Democrats. There was a little bit of bipartisan talk today where you had about two
01:58dozen Democratic and Republican senators meeting in the Senate chamber during a vote series
02:03saying, how do we get out of this? And the reason is because you're into a shutdown and that starts
02:09to make this very present for these senators. They don't want to get blamed either side of the aisle.
02:14What they're talking about right now is maybe a month long interim spending bill, end of October,
02:191st of November. And what it would do is renew some of these Obamacare subsidies, which is central to
02:25the Democratic argument, but only for a year and then wind them down after that. That's something that's
02:31very important to the Democrats. Now, it's about the math. They had two more test votes today. The
02:36Democratic proposal failed. The Republican proposal, again, got 55 yays, but they need 60. There are
02:42still three senators who caucus with the Democrats who are voting with the Republicans. And you had
02:48Rand Paul, the Republican from Kentucky, voting with the Democrats. So, again, they're not going to
02:53vote tomorrow. Yom Kippur tonight and tomorrow. They will come back Friday. But we are in a shutdown
02:57probably at least through the weekend. Sean.
03:00All right, Chad, we'll watch and see. I don't see Donald Trump giving in on Obamacare subsidies.
03:06I don't see it happening, but we'll see. Now, make no mistake, this is Chuck Schumer's shutdown.
03:11Everybody needs to understand one very simple fundamental truth. This goes against every single
03:17solitary position Chucky has taken throughout his entire political career. Let's take a trip down
03:24memory lane. Here's Chucky over the years in his own words. Take a listen.
03:28What if I persuaded my caucus to say I'm going to shut the government down. I'm going to not pay our
03:34bills unless I get my way. It's a politics of idiocy, of confrontation, of paralysis. It's sort of like
03:41this. Someone goes into your house, takes your wife and children hostage, and then says, let's negotiate
03:47over the price of your house. You know, we could do the same thing on immigration. We could, we believe
03:51strongly in immigration reform. We could say we're shutting down the government. We're not going
03:55to raise the debt ceiling until you pass immigration reform. It would be governmental chaos.
04:00Speaker McCarthy needs to stop letting the MAGA radicals drive his decisions and do the obvious
04:06and sensible thing. Follow the Senate's lead and pass a bipartisan CR to prevent this reckless
04:14shutdown. We do not want to let a Trump temper tantrum govern our policies or cause the shutdown of a
04:23government, which everyone on both sides of the aisles knows is the wrong idea.
04:26Oh, a Schumer temper tantrum, political idiocy. Oh, from Chucky. His track record is so extensive,
04:34even fake news CNN actually got it right. They confronted him with his own words, past comments
04:40that he's made before. But before that, he was asked about the shutdown being called the Schumer
04:47shutdown. And lo and behold, right as the audio appeared to go out, perfect timing. Take a look.
04:55Every Republican who's gone on TV the last 12 hours or so has called this the Schumer shutdown.
05:01What do you say about that name? Senator Schumer, can you hear me? I can't hear. Senator Schumer,
05:15can you hear me? I don't think Senator Schumer can hear me right now. Maybe the government shutdown
05:20included audio on Capitol Hill. No, that was a clever line. Anyway, now what you're really seeing
05:26here with the Schumer shutdown is a career politician, basically selling his soul in pursuit of blind
05:33political ambition and a desperate attempt to cling to power. There's no way Schumer can recover with
05:40the new radical wing of his Democratic Party. He's hated by them. He will forever remain hated.
05:46And he has been exposed to the rest of the country, which in a poll this this year gave him a whopping 17%
05:54approval rating. Wow. Not very high. Now here's our message to Chucky tonight. Chuck,
06:00it's over. You will never, ever, ever be an elected leader of your party. Again,
06:06your party doesn't like you. The country doesn't like you. Schumer, just like Hakeem Jeffries,
06:11leader in name only, completely beholden to the new radicalized wing of the Democratic Party,
06:17you know, led by Jasmine Crockett, AOC, The Squad, Crazy Grandpa Bernie, Pocahontas,
06:22and political newcomer Zoran Kami Marxist Mamdani, who was on The View today. By the way,
06:29we'll play you some of that train wreck. That's coming up in the course of the show tonight. But
06:33meanwhile, the Washington Post editorial board is now rightly warning Democrats that they may have
06:39just walked into yet another trap set by President Donald J. Trump. Now pointing out that Trump now has
06:46more authority to choose which agencies to close and what spending to prioritize. In short,
06:53the Schumer shutdown may backfire on the left in a massive way. Now the fact of the matter is Democrats
07:00are demanding a whopping 1.5 trillion taxpayer dollars, that's your money, in additional government
07:08spending for a mere seven week period for the government to stay open. So they're willing to
07:14hold the country, in Chuck's words, hostage because they want to refund NPR, PBS, want to extend Biden
07:23COVID or healthcare subsidies, which were supposed to be temporary. COVID's over, but let not your heart
07:29be troubled. Elected officials might still be able to collect paychecks while the government is shut down.
07:34Take a look at Hakeem Jeffries, very uncomfortable, trying to dodge this question. This is priceless.
07:41Remember, they often pass bills that are burdensome on you, but they don't include themselves. They're
07:48not subject to the laws they're passing and putting on us. Here's an example. Take a look.
07:54There's been several members of Congress and have asked they'll pay to be withheld if this shutdown extends.
08:00Do you advise Democratic members to do that, or is it up to them?
08:06Yeah, that's a question that every individual member is going to have to make on their own,
08:09as has always been the case in the past.
08:11Will you withhold yours?
08:14First of all, that question is not even a ripe one, because we're anticipating that this shutdown
08:21issue will be resolved well in advance of our next paycheck.
08:28Really? You don't want to answer the question. He wants his check. The heck with the rest of you.
08:33Anyway, don't let the left fool you. This is also about your tax dollars funding healthcare for
08:40illegals. Democrats have been lying, trying to deny it. In fact, California Congressman Ro Khanna
08:45may have accidentally said the quiet part out loud. Take a look.
08:49In terms of healthcare, the reality is they're just not being honest. The amount of money that
08:56actually is going towards people who are undocumented is such a small portion of the
09:02Medicaid cuts or the Affordable Care Act, if at all.
09:07Now, Democrats and their allies in the legacy media mob are working overtime to shift the blame to
09:13Republicans. Now, take a look at this exchange between House Speaker Mike Johnson
09:17and little Georgie Stephanopoulos. ABC News. Take a look.
09:22The Democratic proposal is designed to prevent millions of Americans from losing their health
09:26insurance, losing Medicaid coverage, or paying higher healthcare premiums. Why are you against that?
09:32That's an absurd statement, what you said there. Let's be clear about what happened last night,
09:37George. No, George, let me tell you what happened last night. Everybody can go and review the facts
09:40for themselves. 44 Senate Democrats voted to reject a clean, nonpartisan, continuing funding
09:47resolution to keep the United States government open. The Democrats said instead that they wanted
09:52to give healthcare to illegal aliens instead of keeping critical services provided for the American
09:57citizens. That's what happened plain and simple. Here are the facts. The proposal does not provide
10:02healthcare for illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants cannot buy healthcare under the Affordable
10:06Affordable Care Act. They cannot receive healthcare subsidies. Illegal immigrants are ineligible for
10:11Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children's Health Program. The Democratic bill does not make them
10:16eligible. It does, actually, because what it does is it unwinds the changes that Republicans put into
10:21the big, beautiful bill. Checkmate Mike Johnson. But one Democratic congressman from Detroit may have
10:28undermined this entire strategy with one video admitting that Democrats caused the shutdown. Take a look.
10:34Returning back to Detroit this morning after the Republicans failed to show up in the U.S. House,
10:42we got to make sure Americans have the healthcare that they need. And if that means we got to shut
10:49this government down, so be it. Now, meanwhile, before the shutdown took effect, well, Schumer spoke
10:55on the Senate floor and actually criticized the new poll from the very liberal New York Times showing
11:01Americans will, in fact, blame the Democrats for the shutdown. And he called the poll in the New York
11:07Times biased, drawing a lot of laughter from his colleagues. Take a look.
11:12Now, I know the leader is going to show a poll that says that Democrats will be blamed for the shutdown.
11:19There are many more polls that show Republicans are blamed. The question in that poll is biased.
11:24Biased. Biased. In the New York Times, but it's biased. If you turn the...
11:29That's true. I don't always believe the New York Times. You can be sure of that.
11:38And joining us now is Senate Majority Leader John Thune is with us. Uh, Senator, um,
11:44I guess you probably didn't know that the New York Times was biased in favor of conservatives. I had
11:51no idea. Yeah. Yeah. That was, that was a real revelation. Wasn't it, Sean?
11:59Pretty shocking. Yeah. Pretty shocking. You know, when, when we keep playing all of these,
12:06these montages of Chuck Schumer and every Democrat and the dangers of a shutdown and all the people that
12:12will be suffering, this is the Schumer shutdown. He's doing it. And what's fascinating is as you
12:18go back throughout his career, as we have been playing, you hear a guy consistently say you would
12:25never shut the government down. Now, I believe it's for purely blind political ambition that he's doing
12:32this. Uh, but once you back yourself into a corner, how does he get out of it? Yeah. And I think there
12:37are a lot of rank rank and file, uh, Democrats, Sean, who are regretting letting Schumer walk them
12:44down into this rat hole. Um, he is now he's trying to go through a concortion, through these contortions
12:49to justify what he's doing. When you got all those statements out there, as you point out from the
12:54past, where, uh, he's talks about, you can't take the federal government hostage to do all these other
12:59things. I mean, these statements that he's made in the past are, are pretty revealing about, you know,
13:04what he's doing right now and how he's completely sold out and held hostage by the far left. I mean,
13:10it's, you know, the reporting on this has been pretty clear. He's coordinating this entire strategy
13:14with lefty organizations like move on.org. And so they've got him boxed in here and he doesn't
13:21really have a way out, but I think his members, I think a lot of these rank and file Democrats
13:25are looking for an off ramp. And so I'm hoping at some point they'll come to their census and join us
13:30in voting to reopen the government. They shouldn't have gotten themselves in this place in the first
13:34place. You know, let's look at, I want to deal with one issue because there's been some ambiguity,
13:40but the reality is Ro Khanna has admitted it. Uh, Maxine Waters has admitted it. Even the fake news
13:47CNN fact checkers have admitted monies that they're requesting. They are now demanding 1.5 trillion
13:53dollars for a seven week period of time. Correct me if I'm wrong, but some of those monies will be
13:59steered towards healthcare that will, will be given to illegal immigrants. True or false?
14:05Yeah. And they're trying to run away from it, but they can't run away from it. I mean, there are just,
14:09there's too much out there. And when we did the, uh, reconciliation bill, the, um, working families tax
14:15cut bill back in July, we shut the door on a lot of that. What they are doing is repealing all that work.
14:22So they are now opening the door again to allowing not as non-citizens, allowing people that Joe Biden
14:28admitted into this country illegally to be eligible for free healthcare, uh, either via Medicaid or,
14:34you know, the ACA subsidies. So they're, they're trying to run away from it. They're trying to deny
14:39it, but it's just a fact. And, and, you know, honestly, uh, that is an issue. I think that really
14:44resonates with a lot of Americans out there. The 1.5 trillion dollars in spending does too. Don't get me
14:49wrong. I mean, to try and extort, uh, a trillion and a half dollars to get a seven week funding
14:56resolution that just keeps the doors open so we can finish our appropriations work, uh, tells you
15:01the desperate lengths that they are taking right now to, to, I mean, these, these folks are, they,
15:07they, they, they've lost all, um, rationale when it comes to their hatred for president Trump.
15:13They can't see straight. They're blinded by it. And they're willing to do what used to be in their
15:18minds. I think really pretty crazy and stupid things, but that's the, that's the world we're
15:22now living in as Senator. I want to be clear. I want, I want the American people to be clear.
15:28You, the Republicans are offering what's called a clean CR continuing resolution,
15:33which would fund the government at current levels, no cuts across the board, nothing.
15:38And just the current levels as you work behind the scenes, that means there wouldn't be a delay
15:44in terms of paychecks. That means people wouldn't be let, uh, let off, uh, or furloughed, uh, or some
15:50people maybe not be getting their jobs back at all. According to president Trump, you are,
15:55Republicans are willing to fund the government at current levels today. You are demanding nothing
16:01except a continuation of where we are. Correct. And, and they're, they're the delusional, again,
16:07contortions they're going through to justify what they're doing on something that is,
16:11as you said, it's clean. It's nonpartisan. It is short term. It has no gimmicks. We didn't
16:16put any partisan riders on it. I mean, this is something that should be a no brainer
16:20around here. And it's something by the way, that they did 13 times when Joe Biden was in
16:24the white house and the Democrats had the majority in the Senate, they passed continuing resolutions
16:2813 different times. So now they're having to run away from that record and somehow justify
16:34all this stuff they've loaded onto this thing. Um, so yeah, I mean, we're, we're in a,
16:39just a different universe in a different world right now, but hopefully the American people
16:43will hold them accountable. We want to do things in, in the light of day. We want to be transparent.
16:48In the past, the way Schumer did this is they would write these bills in his office behind closed doors
16:53and we're trying to open it up, allow the appropriations process, bring bills to the floor,
16:57allow open, open amendments and do things the way we ought to do things, which is in the light of day.
17:02And this is a very different business model than what he's accustomed to and what his senators are
17:07accustomed to. So, um, they're trying again to load this thing up. They're very personally
17:12hurt by the fact that we're not negotiating on a, you know, a short seven week funding resolution,
17:19the trillion and a half dollars in new spending that they want and all the other, uh, bells and
17:23whistles that a liberal wishlist that rides with it. My understanding is the, the real pressure will
17:30be brought to pair, brought to bear, uh, mid October. And that's when checks won't be going
17:36out to the military and other federal employees. They'll be paid now, but by the middle of the
17:41month, they will not be paid. Is that about right? That's correct. And unfortunately they're starting
17:47to work now without pay. I mean, what they're getting paid for now and the paid, the paid period
17:51is actually hits today. And for members of our, our men and women in uniform, but you're talking about
17:56border agents. You're talking about a lot of government employees that are doing important work,
18:00keeping the country safe, who are now going to be working without getting paid. And that's,
18:05that's what they're doing. I mean, they're sacrificing that to try and get all these things,
18:10um, on, I said, this special interest far left activist base that they have to answer to on their
18:17wishlist. So loading it up with a lot of partisan, try to load this up with a lot of partisan stuff.
18:23It is a very straightforward, simple issue, which I think, I hope the American people understand.
18:27We're trying to keep the government open. The Democrats shut it down. And, uh, and, and this
18:32is what's going to be the consequence for the American people. All right. Senate Majority

18:43chief of staff, Reince Priebus and Fox and Friends weekend cohost, Charlie Hurt. Reince,
18:48let me go to this big lie of the Democrats. And they're saying, oh, illegals are not going to get
18:52taxpayer funded healthcare. Uh, you know how easy it is for them to get it. They know they're telling a
18:59lie. Yeah, absolutely. So I'll, I'll get to a couple of quick examples in a second, Sean,
19:05but we really have to nail this stuff. So I'll give you the background. First of all,
19:11theoretically years ago. Yes. If you're a legal immigrant, theoretically, you shouldn't be eligible
19:17for Medicare, Medicaid, uh, under the system. But what happened was Obama and Biden, especially
19:22during Obamacare, they granted illegal immigrants a kind of fake special healthcare kind of status.
19:30And so the Republicans took that, that little exemption away in the bill that they passed in
19:37July. The Democrats are using this CR to try to bring it back. And let me explain two ways
19:42that it works. We all know that every state has a Medicaid and Medicare exchange. And so what happens
19:50is, is that these states, especially states like New York, they grant illegal immigrants special status,
19:56you call it like a sanctuary status into the exchange. And so then what happens is the illegal immigrant
20:02gets into the exchange, they get the Medicaid or the Obamacare in the exchange, and then the states
20:09get reimbursed from the federal government. You've heard all summer about senators complaining about
20:14the reimbursement rates back to states and hospitals. So that's what they do. They wash
20:19all of this money away through the federal reimbursement rate. The other way that this works
20:25is that if you go at an emergency room, so if an illegal immigrant goes into the emergency room
20:30and they get treated, then what happens is the hospital goes back to the federal government and gets
20:36what's called like an emergency Medicaid payment through a special exchange. And by the way,
20:42that reimbursement is at an amount much higher than the actual amount that you or I would pay or
20:49our insurance company would pay if we were to go into the emergency room. So I think it's really
20:55important for Republicans to start using real life examples of how this works, because otherwise,
21:01as you see, the mainstream media would just say, well, you're just lying about this. It's not true.
21:05But it is true. And it happens all the time, which is why we were fighting all summer about
21:11reimbursement rates back to hospitals and states on Medicaid and Obamacare.
21:18A great analysis, by the way. And thank you for telling the American people the truth,
21:22because they're being lied to. Charlie, let's get your take.
21:24Yeah. And I have to say, Sean, the thing that is kind of most puzzling to me about it
21:31is the fact that Democrats are trying to lie about it right now. And, you know, it was funny.
21:36You saw that in that interview with George Stephanopoulos. He was literally reading the
21:40Democrat talking points off of the piece of paper as he was trying to refute what Speaker
21:46Johnson was saying. Let's remember back in the 2020 primary, in the Democrat primary for 2020,
21:54that all the Democrats running there, about a dozen of them on stage were asked which ones of
22:01them supported giving free health care to illegal aliens paid for by legal taxpayers. One hundred
22:07percent of them. Every single one of them raised their hands. So I don't even know why they're
22:12pretending to refute this and to claim that this isn't what they're doing, because this is exactly
22:19what they promised their voters, their Democrat voters, that they would do. This is what they
22:25are totally committed to. And it is a complete lie on the part of George Stephanopoulos or any of
22:32these Democrats to suddenly claim like this is not what they're trying to do. They are trying to undo
22:39the safeguards that Republicans put in the big, beautiful bill to prevent this from continuing to
22:44happen. And I think that and it's a huge loser, by the way, it's a huge loser even for normal
22:50Democrat voters. I think extreme Democrat voters think it's a great idea to give free health care
22:55to illegals. But regular Democrat voters are with the I think the majority of Republican voters, which
23:01is that it's insane to give free health care to illegal aliens paid for by legal taxpayers. It's almost
23:10like they know the truth, but they're still going to stand for the position anyway. It's like they're
23:13wrong on every 80, 20, 90, 10 issue out there. I think Georgie's just mad because ABC had to pay a
23:20lot of money to Donald Trump. Just guessing. All right, Reince, we appreciate it. Charlie, thank you.
23:25Coming up, AOC, clearly the new de facto leader on the left, Nancy Pelosi. He's not having it. And the
23:32great Conor McGregor. Could you imagine, you know, bare knuckles fighting? We'll tell you about that
23:37league. We'll show you a video straight ahead. Agitators clashed with police arrests made as
23:46a clergy member descended on Newark ice facility. Democrats stormed Delaney Hall last week.
23:54Dozens of clergy members protested outside an ice facility in Newark, New Jersey, on Monday,
24:00saying they would continue to block the gates accessing the facility until they are arrested.
24:06The group is composed of roughly 50 clergy members from Faith in New Jersey and Faith in Action.
24:13They linked arms outside the main gate of Delaney Hall detention center as they chanted and sang
24:18songs. Several speakers also said prayers for the inmates inside the facility and condemned their
24:25detention. The clergy members said they have volunteered to be arrested and that they will
24:30attempt to enter the ice facility. An ambulance turned away from entering a gated area that the
24:39protesters were blocking on Monday because authorities feared the protesters might rush in if the gate
24:45were opened. One protester told Fox News nobody called the ambulance, calling a tactic to get them to move.
24:53There was no danger there, he said. We're not going to be moved. We'll be here as long as it takes until
25:00the people start to realize this is not acceptable. By around 5pm events began to flare up as the
25:07employers of the facility attempted to drive out of the gated area. Police moved protesters out of the
25:13way, though the protesters would resist and oppose the being touched. At least two protesters were
25:20arrested by Newark police during the event. Newark Public Safety Director Emmanuel Miranda said the
25:27two individuals who were arrested face obstruction and resisting arrest charges. One officer suffered a
25:33minor laceration to the arm due to the incident. Though he will remain on duty, no other injuries were
25:39reported. In response to Fox News' reporting on the event on Monday, Homeland Security Assistant Secretary
25:47Trichikam McCarlin asked who do they want released from Delaney Hall? The child rapists, the murderers,
25:54drug traffickers, MS-13 gang members or known terrorists. This was a cheap political stunt by
26:01the Democrats and by these protesters, she said. We're not having it. They put law enforcement
26:07officers at risk. They put our staff in the facility at risk and put detainees at risk. You saw that they
26:13didn't even let an ambulance through. This is not something that this administration is going to pull up
26:17with and that's part of the reason that this mayor was arrested. You can't just storm a detention
26:23facility and assault law enforcement officers with impunity.
26:29McLaughlin's comments come after the ICE director told Fox News that 75% of the detainees at the
26:35facility have either committed a crime, are convicted of a crime or have pending criminal charges.
26:42Recent polling shows an overwhelming majority of Americans, 83%, support supporting at least some
26:48illegal immigrants. According to the Pew Research Center, roughly 32% of Americans say they support
26:54supporting all illegal immigrants and of those who only support supporting some, 97% are in favour
27:00of removing any who have committed violent crimes. A trio of Democratic lawmakers who participated in the
27:08storming of Delaney Hall last week doubled down on their actions last week, arguing the Trump
27:13administration is weaponising law enforcement. The protest comes days after Democratic lawmakers and
27:22protesters on Friday stormed the gate of the facility. Meanwhile, McLaughlin has said the detention
27:28sentence is housing murderers, terrorists, child rapists and MS-13 gang members. The Department of Homeland
27:35Security posted on social media about the identities of several inmates.
27:40The allegations by Newark politicians that Delaney does not have problem permitting is false. Meet who the New
27:50Jersey lawmakers are fighting for, the DHS wrote. Reps Lamonica McCliff, Bonnie Watson Coleman and Rob
27:58Menendez, all Democrats from New Jersey, made the comments during a joint appearance on CNN's State of the Union on Sunday.
28:06Kiosk ensured when someone on the phone above the leaders of ICE who were with us at that facility
28:14instructed them to go out of the facility, go to the private property and lock the mayor of the
28:19largest city in the state of New Jersey up, Coleman said.
28:23That's absurd. That's un-American. That's scary. That's determination to intimidate people in the
28:33country, she added, claiming the administration is lying at all levels.
28:38Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was also present and was arrested and charged with trespassing.
