Mother and Lover Arrested for Brutal Assault on 10-Year-Old Boy in Meerut—Child Fights for Life After Horrific Torture

MEERUT, UTTAR PRADESH: In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves across Meerut, a 32-year-old woman and her paramour have been arrested for brutally assaulting her 10-year-old son after he caught them in a compromising position.

The incident occurred on Monday when the child returned home from school and found his mother with their neighbour, identified as Rajesh, in an objectionable position. When the boy threatened to inform his father, Sanjay, about what he had witnessed, the mother—allegedly at the instigation of her lover—subjected him to a horrific assault.

According to police reports, the enraged woman first beat the child and then inserted a nail polish bottle and a broomstick into his private parts. The boy's screams alerted neighbours, who broke down the door and rescued him.

Critical Condition
The child was rushed to the district hospital in critical condition. Medical reports indicate he has sustained serious injuries, including chemical burns from the nail polish and internal damage from the broomstick. He has undergone surgery and is currently admitted in the ICU under constant medical supervision.

Illicit Relationship
According to police investigations, the woman had developed an illicit relationship with Rajesh after they became friends on Instagram. Her husband, Sanjay, who works as a salesman for a private firm, remained away from home most of the time, during which the relationship deepened.

During interrogation, the accused woman confessed that Rajesh had instigated her to "teach the child a lesson" after the boy threatened to expose their affair.

Father Seeks Justice
A distraught Sanjay reached the SSP office with his two children, demanding justice. "I go out to earn money so that the children are happy, but what has happened to my son? I only want justice," he said in a broken voice, adding that his wife was obsessed with living with her lover and had been torturing the child.

Legal Action
The Nauchandi police have registered a case against both accused under Sections 5 and 6 of the POCSO Act, Sections 323 (assault) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, and provisions of the Domestic Violence Act. Both the mother and Rajesh were arrested overnight and are in police custody. Police are currently examining Rajesh's call details as part of their investigation.
