In a shocking incident that has sent waves of grief across Medak district, a man allegedly killed his three-year-old son on suspicion that the child was not his biological son. The incident occurred in Medak mandal.

According to police, the accused, Bhaskar, a resident of Peddabai Thanda, had married a woman from Thimmakkapalli Thanda six years ago. The couple, who survived on odd jobs, had frequent quarrels.

Recently, after a dispute, Bhaskar allegedly assaulted his wife, following which she went to her parents’ house, leaving the child with him. The boy had been staying with his father for the past two days.

Police said Bhaskar, suspecting that the child was not born to him, strangled the boy with a rope, killing him. On receiving information, Medak Rural police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Medak Area Hospital for postmortem examination.

The accused has been taken into custody, and a case has been registered. Police said an investigation is underway.

The incident has triggered shock and mourning in the local area.
