The Immigration Department has nabbed 54 foreigners, 43 of them women, following raids on three massage parlours in Johor Baru.

The raids, conducted on Wednesday (Sept 17), also saw the arrests of three local men who were caretakers for the three premises.

00:00The immigration department has nabbed 54 foreigners, 43 of them women, following raids on three
00:10massage parlors in Johor Bahru. The raids conducted on Wednesday also saw the arrests
00:15of three local men who were caretakers for the three premises. A total of 115 people were screened,
00:24resulting in the arrest of locals and foreigners for various immigration offenses.
00:30The foreigners detained aged from 19 to 59 are from seven countries, including 32 Thai women and
00:37others from Myanmar, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Vietnam and Laos, suspected of working as masseuses.
00:46All detainees were found to have committed offenses under the Immigration Act 1959-63
00:54and Immigration Regulations 1963. They have been placed at the Setia Tropica Immigration Depot
