00:00:00Now for the finale.
00:00:12You are the all-stars of the all-stars,
00:00:15and we are so proud of you.
00:00:17Congratulations.
00:00:19When we started this 12 challenges ago,
00:00:23up on that rooftop,
00:00:26I had no idea who would end up here tonight.
00:00:30And we can't wait to see what you have to show us.
00:00:34Yes.
00:00:35Bishmi, I know how much this means to you.
00:00:39I want you to go through this next period of time
00:00:42and really drag out that confidence in yourself.
00:00:45Pull it out.
00:00:46We're meant to be here.
00:00:47This is your time.
00:00:48Thank you, Brandon.
00:00:49My journey has been a steady growth.
00:00:53It was very difficult for me to make it.
00:00:55It's literally been two months and probably like a day
00:00:58since my sister passed away.
00:00:59Well, you did a beautiful job,
00:01:01and you can consider this a tribute to her.
00:01:03Thank you, Elaine.
00:01:05This was the first look that came out.
00:01:07It really set the tone.
00:01:08I've never met a person that had been through
00:01:10the things that I've been through
00:01:11and still been able to make a way for themselves.
00:01:14Go ahead, girl.
00:01:15You are on trend,
00:01:17if not making your own trends.
00:01:19Laurence.
00:01:23Laurence.
00:01:24You are always so exact and measured.
00:01:28I want you to go back to that denim dress
00:01:31where you showed us a softer side of you.
00:01:36Revel in that freedom.
00:01:38Okay.
00:01:38It's in you.
00:01:39Just show it.
00:01:41I will.
00:01:41To be here right now,
00:01:43it feels like a great accomplishment.
00:01:45This has been a long road.
00:01:48I'm actually very much in awe.
00:01:50It's damn near perfect.
00:01:53Fashion has always been in my DNA
00:01:55since I was 16.
00:01:58So, um,
00:01:58I got pregnant when I was 16.
00:02:01And, um,
00:02:03I got a letter telling me
00:02:05that I was accepted to fashion school.
00:02:08Did you go to fashion school?
00:02:09Yeah.
00:02:10The way that you're able to cut a garment
00:02:12is incredible.
00:02:14As Alicia Keys would say,
00:02:16that girl is on fire.
00:02:19All right, Brittany.
00:02:20Yes, my feather queen.
00:02:22Yes.
00:02:23We all really respect
00:02:25that you have carved out
00:02:27a lane for yourself in fashion.
00:02:29You've earned this spot
00:02:31in the top three.
00:02:32And we're all really excited
00:02:33to see what you give us.
00:02:36As a designer,
00:02:37I have really learned
00:02:39that my aesthetic,
00:02:41my craft,
00:02:43and what I do best
00:02:44is enough.
00:02:45This is unexpected
00:02:45coming from you,
00:02:46and it's nice to see your range.
00:02:49I'm seeing forward-thinking
00:02:50ideas from you.
00:02:52This just looks cool.
00:02:54If I'm true to myself
00:02:55and I can stand by my work
00:02:56and have that conviction,
00:02:57then that is all that matters.
00:02:59You guys can finally exhale.
00:03:07You made it.
00:03:09You each have $10,000
00:03:10and eight days
00:03:13to make eight looks
00:03:16to be shown at the finale.
00:03:18Wow.
00:03:19That's one look a day.
00:03:21A collection
00:03:22that will win it all.
00:03:24Yeah.
00:03:25We could do that.
00:03:26Mm-hmm.
00:03:27Yeah, baby.
00:03:28Woo!
00:03:29Top three.

00:04:20Oh, this is nice as hell.
00:04:23Whoa.
00:04:24Amazing.
00:04:25Hi.
00:04:26Hi, Christian.
00:04:27Come in, come in.
00:04:29Christian Siriano's atelier
00:04:31is beautiful,
00:04:32and it's very inspiring.
00:04:34He started from Project Runway
00:04:35and achieved all the success
00:04:38in the world,
00:04:38so you have to believe
00:04:39that it's possible
00:04:40and that you'll be there one day.
00:04:43This is it.
00:04:44You made it.
00:04:46Doesn't it feel good?
00:04:47Yeah.
00:04:48Today,
00:04:49you start to work
00:04:50on your collections
00:04:51that you've been working for
00:04:53this entire competition.
00:04:54This is such an amazing opportunity.
00:04:56You get to make
00:04:57whatever you want to make,
00:04:59be who you want to be.
00:05:00Shock not only the judges,
00:05:02but the whole world is watching,
00:05:04so it's one of those great moments.
00:05:05You know?
00:05:06I think you really have to take
00:05:08the judges on a journey,
00:05:10and I think that they'll
00:05:12really appreciate that,
00:05:13you know?
00:05:13I know.
00:05:13I have a good surprise for you.
00:05:16We're going to give you
00:05:16some help this week.
00:05:18Oh.
00:05:18Because you need it.
00:05:19Eight looks in eight days
00:05:20is wild.
00:05:22Yeah.
00:05:22We're going to bring back
00:05:23some of your eliminated friends.
00:05:25Whoa.
00:05:26Prajee.
00:05:27Okay.
00:05:28Kara-san.
00:05:29And Fabia.
00:05:30Oh, snap.
00:05:32Fish me.
00:05:32Because you won the last challenge,
00:05:34you get the advantage
00:05:35of picking first.
00:05:36Of course,
00:05:37I'm going to pick
00:05:37my good, good girlfriend, Prajee.
00:05:39I don't think we're going to fight anyways.
00:05:40I don't think we're going to fight.
00:05:41Fabio.
00:05:42Yeah.
00:05:42That's what I thought.
00:05:43No-brainer.
00:05:43Yeah.
00:05:44Kara-san.
00:05:44Kara-san.
00:05:45Oh, my love.
00:05:46And we're also going to give you
00:05:47$10,000,
00:05:48and you guys can go anywhere
00:05:50in the fashion district
00:05:50that you want.
00:05:51Yeah.
00:05:52Yeah.
00:05:52Because the clothes
00:05:53got to be good.
00:05:54Yeah.
00:05:54Listen.
00:05:55Yeah.
00:05:55It is big stakes,
00:05:57all stars.
00:05:58You have to impress
00:06:00these judges.
00:06:00Yeah.
00:06:01This is it.
00:06:02Yes.
00:06:02All right.
00:06:03Bye, Christian.
00:06:16This is the very first
00:06:17type of freedom
00:06:19to shop fabrics
00:06:20all around the garment district.
00:06:22We have three and a half
00:06:23hours to shop.
00:06:24Elaine really wants me
00:06:25to, like, lean into
00:06:26who I am.
00:06:27So my strategy
00:06:28is to create a collection
00:06:30that embraces
00:06:31this active wear path,
00:06:33but also progressing
00:06:35into active wear
00:06:36as, like, evening wear.
00:06:38And use color,
00:06:40tell a story
00:06:41of things that just
00:06:42get more and more intense.
00:06:44Anything else?
00:06:45No, that's it.
00:06:47On to the next.
00:06:47I'm one of the most
00:06:49commercial designers
00:06:49in this competition.
00:06:51Oh, yes.
00:06:53To do active wear
00:06:55as high fashion
00:06:56is really risky.
00:06:58But it doesn't mean
00:06:59that I can't give
00:07:00a very inspiring,
00:07:02just absolute
00:07:03killer runway show.
00:07:04Hello.
00:07:06How are you?
00:07:06How are you?
00:07:07I'm good.
00:07:08My specialty
00:07:09is leather.
00:07:11This is actually nice.
00:07:12There's a couple
00:07:13like that.
00:07:14But I am
00:07:15going to do
00:07:16some things
00:07:17that people
00:07:17don't really expect
00:07:18of me,
00:07:18which is playing
00:07:19with colors.
00:07:21This color is nice.
00:07:22Greens,
00:07:23purples,
00:07:24red.
00:07:25And try different
00:07:26types of fabrics
00:07:27to do, like, a mix.
00:07:28So I have this color,
00:07:29that color.
00:07:30I have black.
00:07:31I always listen
00:07:32to Madame Nina,
00:07:34so I'm really playing
00:07:35with the masculine
00:07:36and feminine,
00:07:37the hard,
00:07:38the soft.
00:07:38Basically,
00:07:39my collection
00:07:39is a marriage
00:07:40of the two.
00:07:40Thank you so much.
00:07:42Yes, baby.
00:07:44That's what I'm looking
00:07:44for, all the good
00:07:45signs today.
00:07:46Fashion is literally
00:07:47my diary,
00:07:48my saving grace,
00:07:50my religion.
00:07:52I really, really
00:07:53love this.
00:07:53The vibe
00:07:54from my collection
00:07:55is inspired
00:07:56by my process
00:07:58of grieving.
00:08:00I want to showcase
00:08:01what I'm feeling
00:08:02and how I'm feeling.
00:08:04She's cute.
00:08:06I ain't balling
00:08:07on the budget
00:08:07this time.
00:08:08I know for sure
00:08:09I'm going to use
00:08:10white, cream, black
00:08:13and different shades
00:08:14of red.
00:08:15Oh, this is dope.
00:08:16To be able
00:08:17to tell my story
00:08:18with my collection
00:08:19is my way
00:08:21of being able
00:08:21to honor my sister.
00:08:25Okay, guys.
00:08:27It's real.
00:08:30It's realer than real.
00:08:33Hold on.
00:08:34I got it.
00:08:36You are so sweet.
00:08:38Oh, hello.
00:08:40Hello, Rima.
00:08:43I kind of like
00:08:44this setup right here.
00:08:47In order for me
00:08:51to calm my nerves
00:08:53and just making
00:08:54it feel at home,
00:08:55I put up
00:08:55my sister's obituary.
00:08:57She going to be here
00:08:58making the collection
00:08:59with you.
00:08:59My sister told me
00:09:01before she transcended
00:09:02that I got this.
00:09:03I dedicate this
00:09:04all to her.
00:09:05Let's get it, baby.
00:09:08This is dope.
00:09:18Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:09:22Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:09:24Oh, s***.
00:09:25What the f***?
00:09:30This is a coat?
00:09:31Yeah.
00:09:31This is beautiful.
00:09:33What you over here?
00:09:34Cutting?
00:09:35Yeah, cutting number two.
00:09:36Cutting number...
00:09:36You're on number two?
00:09:37Yeah.
00:09:38Damn.
00:09:38She cutting number two.
00:09:39Oh, no goals.
00:09:40The time frame
00:09:41that we have
00:09:42to produce this collection
00:09:43is f***ing insane.
00:09:45I'm gonna have
00:09:46some flowers here.
00:09:48And this was in your head?
00:09:49I'm just going
00:09:50as I go.
00:09:51Do I know
00:09:52what I'm making yet?
00:09:53No, I do not.
00:09:54Because I don't
00:09:55have any drawings.
00:09:56My collection,
00:09:57it's a little blurry
00:09:58in my mind.
00:09:59I can't believe
00:10:00this is finally done.
00:10:01Oh, my goodness.
00:10:03Oh, man.
00:10:04I'm tired.
00:10:06Y'all,
00:10:07it's been a day
00:10:08but it's time
00:10:08for us to go.
00:10:10Let's go through
00:10:10the day one down, baby.
00:10:13Coming up?
00:10:14Let the competition begin.
00:10:16Podcasting.
00:10:17I only have three looks.
00:10:22God save me.
00:10:23I said my stress level
00:10:24wasn't that high
00:10:25but now it is.
00:10:26You're gonna have to sew
00:10:28like you've never
00:10:28sewn before.
00:10:29Yeah, I know.
00:10:30Not this pink pant.
00:10:31Like, she looks like
00:10:32a little kid.
00:10:33Why are you so pouty?
00:10:34I want to get
00:10:35finished sewing.
00:10:37This is overwhelming.
00:10:39I'm over it.
00:10:41I think I'm done.
00:10:47All right.
00:10:48What are we doing here?
00:10:50Hey, look.
00:10:50I'm wearing something
00:10:51I made.
00:10:51That's cute.
00:10:57Hi, everybody.
00:10:59Hey.
00:10:59What's up, Christian?
00:11:00Yay!
00:11:01All right.
00:11:01We have a big day
00:11:02today, guys.
00:11:03You'll be selecting
00:11:05your models
00:11:05for your show.
00:11:07That's huge.
00:11:08Absolutely.
00:11:09All right.
00:11:10I'm coming to take a peek
00:11:10before the models get here.
00:11:12Brittany.
00:11:13Hey, you.
00:11:14Look at all this.
00:11:15I know.
00:11:16Busy?
00:11:16Yes.
00:11:20It's girly and cool
00:11:21and fun and young.
00:11:23Maybe you need
00:11:24that one sophisticated thing.
00:11:26Yeah, I need it.
00:11:26I mean, imagine this
00:11:28could be, like,
00:11:28the most badass pants.
00:11:30Yeah.
00:11:31Don't even look
00:11:32to the left.
00:11:33They are going
00:11:34couture du jour
00:11:35over there.
00:11:37There is that balance
00:11:38of what's too simplistic.
00:11:40Yeah.
00:11:40I just have to do it
00:11:41in a way that's like,
00:11:42hey, here's what you love
00:11:43about me,
00:11:43but, like, in a show form.
00:11:44Yes.
00:11:45I have to remember that.
00:11:45Yeah.
00:11:46So.
00:11:46Okay, goodbye.
00:11:51Oh, Lord.
00:11:52We got a lot going on
00:11:53up in here.
00:11:54It's me.
00:11:56Tell me everything.
00:11:56So, right now,
00:11:57I'm in, like,
00:11:58this, like,
00:11:58kill the old you,
00:12:00but rebirth of the new you.
00:12:01So, um...
00:12:02Oh, like a phoenix
00:12:03reborn.
00:12:04Reborn, yeah.
00:12:05I like it.
00:12:06What I'm kind of, like,
00:12:07doing is doing, like,
00:12:08this white look.
00:12:09Oh, that's just here.
00:12:10That's, yeah.
00:12:11That's kind of, like,
00:12:11not having experienced life.
00:12:14I want to ease them
00:12:15into the drama.
00:12:16Yes.
00:12:16This is the opening.
00:12:17This is the opening.
00:12:18This is how the progression
00:12:19goes in this,
00:12:20in the collection.
00:12:21Yeah.
00:12:21And then in the red,
00:12:23it's kind of, like,
00:12:23has the cargo pants
00:12:24with the top,
00:12:25like,
00:12:26the born of the phoenix.
00:12:27And then the last thing
00:12:29is just, uh...
00:12:30Is this couture moment.
00:12:32Yeah.
00:12:33Like, all of this
00:12:34is depression
00:12:34and anxiety,
00:12:36and so I literally want her
00:12:37to walk and conquer that.
00:12:40I think that's kind of cool.
00:12:41Thanks, Christian.
00:12:41Bring it in.
00:12:42Bring it in.
00:12:44You smell good.
00:12:45Always.
00:12:49You're wrong.
00:12:50Yes.
00:12:51So, what did you kind of
00:12:52come up with
00:12:52as, like,
00:12:53your inspiration?
00:12:54My inspiration is
00:12:56a night in Paris.
00:12:57Because what is
00:12:58the color palette?
00:12:59So, I have
00:13:00gray,
00:13:02purple,
00:13:02red.
00:13:04I love that you're
00:13:05going to do this purple, too.
00:13:06But I haven't figured
00:13:07that one yet.
00:13:08What about even making
00:13:09a very classic,
00:13:11beautiful suit?
00:13:14Yeah, yeah.
00:13:14What's the opening look?
00:13:16What is that going to be?
00:13:17I don't know.
00:13:17You don't know yet.
00:13:18You're in a different space
00:13:20as, like,
00:13:20you're still planning
00:13:21what you want to make.
00:13:22Yeah.
00:13:23I would get
00:13:24your little sketchbook out.
00:13:25I promise,
00:13:26it's all my part in my head.
00:13:27But it'll help
00:13:29if you have
00:13:30a better plan.
00:13:30All right.
00:13:31Well, good luck.
00:13:32Thanks.
00:13:33It's a rollercoaster here.
00:13:40My brain is, like,
00:13:41fried legs to the necks.
00:13:44All right.
00:13:44Models are here.
00:13:46Oh!
00:13:47I can't wait to do this.
00:13:48Model casting.
00:13:50Model casting.
00:13:50What are you looking for, Brittany?
00:13:52I want something that, like,
00:13:52really just gives off
00:13:54bad girl energy.
00:13:55What do you think, bitch?
00:13:56Just want a badass look.
00:13:58Laurence?
00:13:59Diversity.
00:14:00And, um, body.
00:14:02Don't be fighting over girls.
00:14:04Let the competition begin.
00:14:05We don't need a card from you.
00:14:17We need a card.
00:14:17Woo!
00:14:22Guys.
00:14:23I can literally do anything.
00:14:24Bye, Mimi.
00:14:26Mimi.
00:14:27Do you want her?
00:14:27A bag.
00:14:28Erin, I'm going to pick.
00:14:30So you can mix that
00:14:31and you pick.
00:14:32We're going to wait
00:14:33until the end.
00:14:34Hi, love bug.
00:14:36I'm manifesting it.
00:14:38Hey, boo.
00:14:40He's not here.
00:14:41He's not here.
00:14:41Don't look at him.
00:14:42Don't look at him.
00:14:43Hello.
00:14:43Oh, no.
00:14:44There's not even a question.
00:14:47Put your hat down.
00:14:48You and I are going to fight.
00:14:49I'm telling you.
00:14:49I'm going to say bye.
00:14:50I hope you got your boxing gloves.
00:14:53Oh, there she is!
00:14:56Oh, I love you!
00:14:57We're so professional here.
00:14:59This is monocasting.
00:15:00She even wore her smallest top.
00:15:02Yes.
00:15:02This is in Christian's hand.
00:15:04Here, Christian.
00:15:04Yeah, okay, great.
00:15:05You got it this one.
00:15:06Great.
00:15:06Jessica, you looking at my show?
00:15:07No, she's not.
00:15:09You're closing it.
00:15:09She's not.
00:15:10You guys have to pick.
00:15:11Let's do a...
00:15:12Whoever you need me to...
00:15:14Those two.
00:15:14I will help.
00:15:15Actually, no, no, no.
00:15:15Wait, wait, wait, wait.
00:15:16Chill out.
00:15:17Back up, back up.
00:15:18Christian, you're going to have
00:15:19to do all of this.
00:15:20I just need Jessica and Shanae.
00:15:22So whoever's name I draw
00:15:24gets to pick who they want.
00:15:25Oh, my nipples are sweating.
00:15:28Brittany.
00:15:28Oh, okay.
00:15:30Okay, you get Mimi.
00:15:31Yay, yay!
00:15:33I'll let you have Jessica for Anna.
00:15:37That's a great tree.
00:15:37Look at us being civilized.
00:15:39Wow, look at that.
00:15:41Brittany, she's silent,
00:15:42but she's a killer over here.
00:15:43I know, she's got a killer.
00:15:45You got hair.
00:15:47Titties on the runway.
00:15:48All right, you've got models.
00:15:50You got materials.
00:15:51You're doing it.
00:15:52Yes.
00:15:52Oh, my gosh.
00:15:53Hands in.
00:15:54Hands in.
00:15:55Go T.
00:15:56Go T.
00:15:56Y'all need help.
00:16:06What's that?
00:16:15I'm so happy for you.
00:16:19Thanks.
00:16:21I can breathe now.
00:16:22What do you have so far?
00:16:23Fabio.
00:16:23That's my ally.
00:16:24This is ready to cut some fabric.
00:16:26This is really good.
00:16:27So how is everything?
00:16:29It's stressful,
00:16:30but I love how you do jackets,
00:16:32so I know you can freak this.
00:16:34I don't know if you feel like making a pattern for the shirt.
00:16:38And what's it going to be, Adam?
00:16:38I don't want to just create, like, eight looks just to put eight looks on the runway.
00:16:46I want to surprise myself.
00:16:48But I'm not there yet.
00:16:49And the pink, too, I'm like, maybe.
00:16:52I need to figure this out.
00:16:54You have tonight to sleep on it.
00:16:55I can't.
00:16:57I can't.
00:16:58I can't.
00:17:01Activating the finale.
00:17:03The pressure.
00:17:04There's even more now.
00:17:08Hey.
00:17:10Queen's entering.
00:17:12Hello.
00:17:13Hi.
00:17:13Hi, hello.
00:17:15Hey.
00:17:15Okay, well, we'll make it work.
00:17:19Yeah, bitch.
00:17:19Let's do it.
00:17:20Fockets.
00:17:21We call them Fockets.
00:17:22Fockets.
00:17:23Okay.
00:17:24Hello.
00:17:25Ooh.
00:17:26Fab.
00:17:27So pretty.
00:17:28Overall, how are you feeling?
00:17:29I'm feeling great.
00:17:30Feeling great?
00:17:31Still got to cut the green jumpsuits.
00:17:32Still got to cut it.
00:17:33I mean, I have the pattern.
00:17:34I got some sleep.
00:17:35I'm organized in my head, and I have a plan.
00:17:38I know I have a lot to do.
00:17:40I know I have a lot to do.
00:17:42I know I have a lot to do.
00:17:43I know I have a lot to do.
00:17:45I know I have a lot to do.
00:17:48But I'll get it done.
00:17:49What's the purple look?
00:17:50The purple?
00:17:51It's a jumpsuit.
00:17:52Well, you didn't make it yet?
00:17:53No, not the jumpsuit.
00:17:54It's a pantsuit.
00:17:55It's a suit.
00:17:56Oh, the suit.
00:17:57No, no, no.
00:17:58It's a suit.
00:17:59So the two looks that you haven't actually sewn are the green jumpsuit and the purple suit.
00:18:03Right?
00:18:04No, but I made the pattern on them.
00:18:05Are you sure?
00:18:06You don't want to fit them?
00:18:07Yes.
00:18:08But I can't be right.
00:18:09You haven't even seen them.
00:18:10Yeah, I did.
00:18:11Tomorrow, fit those looks.
00:18:12Yeah.
00:18:13Because you don't know.
00:18:14You know what?
00:18:15They're both the curvy girls.
00:18:16Yeah.
00:18:17You got to bring them back.
00:18:18And you have to have something to try.
00:18:19I will.
00:18:20Please.
00:18:21I will.
00:18:22Yeah.
00:18:23Two full looks.
00:18:24Yes, yes, yes.
00:18:25We're going to do it.
00:18:26We're going to do it.
00:18:27With the hood, and then the bra goes over.
00:18:30Can we do the shrug?
00:18:31How's it going?
00:18:32It got real pink over here.
00:18:34Let me see this look.
00:18:35What is happening?
00:18:36I do not like her.
00:18:37You're fighting her.
00:18:38Look at, like, that's not the pant.
00:18:41What about a little short or, I don't know.
00:18:44With that top?
00:18:45With that dress?
00:18:46Instead of the trousers?
00:18:47It's not this pink pant.
00:18:48Like, she looks like a little kid.
00:18:50This is like fashion, fashion, fashion.
00:18:52It's like a runway show.
00:18:54Okay.
00:18:55I hear you.
00:18:56You don't need a sleeper look.
00:18:57Because your looks are sportswear.
00:18:59You don't need a more casual of the casual.
00:19:01Okay.
00:19:02No, I hear you.
00:19:03You're welcome.
00:19:06Fish me.
00:19:08Woo!
00:19:09What's happening?
00:19:12That is fabulous.
00:19:14Uh, you can come to me every other circus show.
00:19:16I'm turning this way.
00:19:17Why are you so, um, pouty?
00:19:19Um, I want to get finished sewing.
00:19:21Yeah?
00:19:22I don't have a lot of stuff done.
00:19:24Okay, get to sewing then.
00:19:25Fine.
00:19:26You don't have to talk to me.
00:19:27Yeah, I just gotta get the jacket right.
00:19:28Once I recut the jacket, I gotta recut it.
00:19:31Let me know if you need anything.
00:19:33I will.
00:19:37Roger, give him some love.
00:19:40Well, yeah, that's what I've been doing.
00:19:42Okay.
00:19:43Loving my brother.
00:19:44Okay.
00:19:45Good.
00:19:47Bye.
00:19:48Bye.
00:19:49All right, designers.
00:19:50When you're ready, take your model to the Tresme hair salon and the Bobby Brown makeup studio.
00:19:53Good luck.
00:19:57Hi.
00:19:58Hey.
00:19:59How are you?
00:20:00Good to see you again.
00:20:01I'm so happy that you're here.
00:20:02Tell me a little bit about your look.
00:20:04The whole vibe is very, like, high fashion active.
00:20:08My thought was just a slick back pony, but doing the bubble pony.
00:20:13Love.
00:20:14Yeah.
00:20:15I'm gonna use the Tresme extra hold mousse.
00:20:17It's going to help me keep her hair back, but it doesn't have that sticky feel that most
00:20:23mousse have yet.
00:20:25This looks super sleek and modern.
00:20:27Yes.
00:20:28Yes, mama.
00:20:29Yes.
00:20:30Thank you so much.
00:20:31Hello.
00:20:32Hey, I'm excited.
00:20:33Tell me about your look.
00:20:34So I really want for them to have, like, drawn, just bone straight flowy.
00:20:39Just, like, really sleek.
00:20:40Super sleek.
00:20:41Yeah.
00:20:42Modern.
00:20:43So I'm gonna use the Tresme Prone Fusion Smooth Tonic.
00:20:45Okay.
00:20:46It's gonna really help with the shine and hydration and really get us that sleekness that
00:20:50we're looking for.
00:20:51Okay.
00:20:56Leaves her hair hydrated and smooth.
00:20:58Already super sleek, super soft.
00:21:01Yeah.
00:21:02Awesome.
00:21:03She's gonna be giving us what we need.
00:21:04Oh, yeah.
00:21:05I already, I see it.
00:21:06You see this?
00:21:07Thank you so much.
00:21:08Ah, I'm so good.
00:21:10It's so good to see you.
00:21:11Talk to me about your collection.
00:21:13I'm dying to see it.
00:21:14So, I want them to be super classy.
00:21:17I don't really want any colors, so a lot of contouring.
00:21:20I'm taking a touch of our long wear cream shadow stick in a shade that's matte.
00:21:24I'm just gonna add a little bit of depth right here.
00:21:28Underneath the cheekbone, it's still very monochromatic.
00:21:32Yeah, I love it.
00:21:33Thank you so much.
00:21:35Good luck.
00:21:36Bye.
00:21:38All right, designers.
00:21:39I have exciting news for you.
00:21:41Tomorrow morning, CFDA is coming to meet with each of you.
00:21:46Oh, wow.
00:21:47It's gonna be really helpful.
00:21:48I promise.
00:21:49Take advantage.
00:21:50Take it in.
00:21:51Get to work.
00:21:52Lots of sewing to do.
00:21:53Bye.
00:21:54I only have three looks.
00:22:02God save me.
00:22:03I said my stress level wasn't that high, but now it is.
00:22:08And that's time, people.
00:22:10Let's go, you guys.
00:22:11Night Lounge.
00:22:12Let's go to the lounge.
00:22:19Cheers to you.
00:22:20Cheers.
00:22:21Congratulations to you.
00:22:22Cheers.
00:22:23Cheers.
00:22:24Cheers.
00:22:25So how do you guys feel, though?
00:22:26Yeah, final three.
00:22:27Yeah.
00:22:28It's like someone telling you great news and then pushing you off a clip.
00:22:31You've been staying up since 12.30, 1 o'clock.
00:22:34Trying to force yourself to go to sleep, but you can because your mind is just racing.
00:22:39Good.
00:22:40I'm sad.
00:22:42I feel like a knot in my throat.
00:22:44I am feeling a bit worried about my overall collection because I do not see it coming together yet.
00:22:50So I need to rethink some things and readjust.
00:22:54You stress me out.
00:22:55No.
00:22:56Last day in the workroom.
00:22:57Happy final day.
00:22:58Woo!
00:22:59Where do we start, girl?
00:23:00Start and finish on that draping white dress.
00:23:01I sew it in on both sides, right?
00:23:02Yeah.
00:23:03Hi.
00:23:04Hi.
00:23:05Hi.
00:23:06Hi.
00:23:07I'm Mark Karamazata, the Detroit communications director of the CFDA.
00:23:08I'm so thrilled to be here and to meet all of you.
00:23:09I'm really here to see your collections and to talk to you about your future, your brand.
00:23:10Wow.
00:23:11We're excited to have you.
00:23:12We're excited to have you.
00:23:13Yes.
00:23:14Yes.
00:23:15Yes.
00:23:16Yes.
00:23:17Yes.
00:23:18Yes.
00:23:19Yes.
00:23:20Yes.
00:23:21Yes.
00:23:22Yes.
00:23:23Yes.
00:23:24Yes.
00:23:25Yes.
00:23:26Yes.
00:23:27Yes.
00:23:28Yes.
00:23:29Yes.
00:23:30Yes.
00:23:31Yes.
00:23:32Yes.
00:23:33Yes.
00:23:34Yes.
00:23:35Oh, my God.
00:23:36Brittany, what's your customer look like?
00:23:37She's a city girl, very independent.
00:23:38You know, she does her own thing.
00:23:39Well, you're ahead of a lot of designers because you already know exactly who your customer
00:23:54is and you know exactly what your brand looks like, which is a great thing.
00:23:58I love this denim jacket.
00:24:00Yeah.
00:24:01It was upcycling and that was a one day.
00:24:03What's in there?
00:24:04It's very heavy.
00:24:05It's muslin.
00:24:06It's very good.
00:24:07It's very heavy.
00:24:08It's very heavy.
00:24:09Like this, trying to like work in my DNA, it kind of did really start like here and here
00:24:14and doing like the undergarment pieces here.
00:24:16Which must be so difficult with the challenges because it's all different challenges.
00:24:20Yeah.
00:24:21So how do you bring the DNA into that challenge?
00:24:22Yeah.
00:24:23What would you see that starting point for me, like for the mentorship?
00:24:25Like where would it be looking down the road and what I see by brand being?
00:24:30We'd look to help speak to people who know the business of fashion, speak to manufacturers
00:24:37who know how to make the kind of clothes that you want for your collection.
00:24:41Yeah.
00:24:42That would be amazing.
00:24:43Well, thank you so much.
00:24:44It was so great to meet you.
00:24:45Thank you so much.
00:24:47Whoa.
00:24:48What would you say your story is and who you really want to dress with your clothes?
00:24:54For my story, I'll use fashion as my, like, my diary.
00:24:57So I'm always adding hints of myself into the garments and telling like a dramatic avant-garde
00:25:03story with a bit of streetwear.
00:25:04I see real range, which is really important, I think, in terms of building your business.
00:25:09We're an organization of more than 450 members.
00:25:11We have a lot of resources to help a young designer like you.
00:25:14Gotcha.
00:25:15Thank you so much.
00:25:17Hello.
00:25:18Laurence.
00:25:19So if you had to describe your brand, how would you describe it?
00:25:22My brand is edgy and classy.
00:25:26Super feminine and masculine mixed together.
00:25:29And I do leather.
00:25:30So that's what I'm known for.
00:25:31So obviously looking here, I see the whole breadth of your talent.
00:25:34Yeah.
00:25:35Leather is your focus, but are you really thinking about other materials?
00:25:38How are you looking to expand your collection?
00:25:40I want to do everything.
00:25:41Yeah.
00:25:42Leather is my love, but I want to do everything.
00:25:44That's why I try to do a mix of different things.
00:25:47That's a very smart thing, because when you think about a woman, she might really love leather,
00:25:51but there's other parts of her life when she doesn't want to wear leather,
00:25:54and then she would be the go-to designer because she already likes your aesthetic
00:25:57and what you stand for.
00:25:58Yeah.
00:25:59And if you communicate that very clearly, who you are and what you stand for,
00:26:02you could have that customer for life.
00:26:04Okay.
00:26:05Which is a wonderful thing.
00:26:06Yes.
00:26:07Thank you so very much.
00:26:08Hey, you guys.
00:26:09Are you ready for models?
00:26:10They're here.
00:26:11Yes.
00:26:12Work.
00:26:13Welcome back.
00:26:14Do you want to start with the pants with her?
00:26:29All right.
00:26:30So let's do, let's try this on first.
00:26:32Mm-hmm.
00:26:33So this model fitting is exactly what I needed, and I just need to fit this spandex tube shape
00:26:38on Jasmine to make sure that we're on the right track of just perfecting this look.
00:26:43You know what would be cool if I put a biker short underneath it?
00:26:45That'd be hot.
00:26:46It looks beautiful.
00:26:47Well, for me, I just want to see where the other one lands.
00:26:51I'm going to take this thing a little bit too.
00:26:57Yep.
00:26:58Can't wait to see it.
00:27:00He's coming.
00:27:01Yeah.
00:27:02And I think he's doing something with your look too.
00:27:06Ooh.
00:27:09Ooh.
00:27:14This is probably the most stressed out I've been all season because I'm not where I want
00:27:19to be at.
00:27:20I'm not at a proper checkpoint for myself.
00:27:22And I'm dealing with grief.
00:27:24It adds more pressure on to me than I already have.
00:27:28I'm trying, y'all.
00:27:33I need to go find your designer because this is as far as I can take you.
00:27:38I think I'm done.
00:27:40Yeah.
00:27:41Yeah.
00:27:42Bish.
00:27:43You have my idols.
00:27:45Where is it?
00:27:48Where did he say he going?
00:27:51Where is it?
00:28:05Where did he say he going?
00:28:07What's happening?
00:28:14I'm trying to figure everything out in my mind.
00:28:17Well, we have a motto inside. Come.
00:28:19I really just need, like, a few weeks ago.
00:28:22I don't know why, but it's a lot of fun.
00:28:25We don't have the time for the mind to play those tricks on us.
00:28:28I need you inside.
00:28:30I've been handling my grief throughout this competition,
00:28:32but I think what was making me sad is that, um,
00:28:36,, bro.
00:28:43If I got all the way to winning that,
00:28:46it wouldn't feel good because she's not here.
00:28:49It's been a rollercoaster.
00:28:51Being here, I keep realizing I'm grieving my sister at the same time.
00:28:55There be times when I'm, like, about to literally cry,
00:28:58and I don't even know why, like, it's a lot that hit me today.
00:29:02I'm just thankful that I have Praje here to keep my head on track.
00:29:05He reminded me that I'm here for a reason
00:29:08and keep that focus on why I'm here.
00:29:11And he literally had a place in my heart forever.
00:29:14Y'all need to get you a Praje in your life
00:29:16because she might seem like she rah, rah, rah,
00:29:20but she really got a heart of gold.
00:29:21Ooh.
00:29:30Did I go do it longer?
00:29:32Over the shoe?
00:29:33No, it's fine.
00:29:34Right there?
00:29:35Yeah.
00:29:35Okay, turn to the back.
00:29:36I'm glad I did the fitting because the fit has to be proper.
00:29:39And so far, it's no bueno.
00:29:41It's gonna be...
00:29:42The same, like, a pants?
00:29:43Same as the pants.
00:29:44And the leather.
00:29:45But the bustier is leather.
00:29:46Yeah.
00:29:47Is there a good enough length for you to walk in?
00:29:49If we did end up attaching this part of the placket...
00:29:59And the thigh.
00:30:00The center, yeah.
00:30:01So this gown, the dimension is remarkable.
00:30:05The train looks so good,
00:30:06and the styling, how it came together
00:30:08with the ribbing and the hood.
00:30:09And it's just a very couture way to finish my collection.
00:30:13And it's just a very good friend.
00:30:18I love you.
00:30:19Thank you, D-D.
00:30:20Bye.
00:30:21Bye.
00:30:22What time is it?
00:30:2430 minutes till we gotta pack it up, guys!
00:30:26I ain't going down without a fight.
00:30:30Let me just do this real quick.
00:30:32Come on.
00:30:33And done.
00:30:34So all you need to do right now is the jacket.
00:30:35Yes.
00:30:36I was like, Laurence needs me here for moral support
00:30:37more than anything.
00:30:38We gonna save the party for later.
00:30:39Guys, we got five minutes until the friends have to leave.
00:30:40Never.
00:30:41I'm gonna miss you for helping me.
00:30:42I gave you a gift.
00:30:43The dishes tired?
00:30:44Mm.
00:30:45She's muddy.
00:30:46Mm-hmm.
00:30:59I gotta go.
00:31:00Our time is up.
00:31:02I mean, I will see you.
00:31:03You probably won't see me.
00:31:04Yes, I will.
00:31:05We're looking through you like this.
00:31:06I'm not a Αw.
00:31:09Oh, my God.
00:31:10Oh, my God.
00:31:12you probably won't see me.
00:31:13Yes, I will.
00:31:14I'll be looking for you like this.
00:31:16I love you so much.
00:31:17I love you, too.
00:31:18OK, thank you.
00:31:20Goodbye!
00:31:22Thank you so, so much.
00:31:24I love you, too.
00:31:25All right, I'll see you tomorrow.
00:31:26All right, see you tomorrow.
00:31:28There's literally no way that this collection
00:31:31would look like it does right now without Fabio's help.
00:31:34I owe him a lot.
00:31:37Bye, guys.
00:31:38Bye, guys.
00:31:39Good luck.
00:31:41Good luck.
00:31:42We're done with this workroom, and it's bittersweet.
00:31:47All right, you guys, ready to head out?
00:31:49I'm excited for the runway, and I'm also a bit nervous.
00:31:55Later, workroom.
00:32:02What a beautiful city.
00:32:04Wow, so pretty.
00:32:07I just want to say I'm so proud of all of us.
00:32:10Me, too.
00:32:10I'm proud of us, too, man.
00:32:12And this is beautiful, man.
00:32:15Being here, it really prepped you for the fashion industry.
00:32:17Yeah, absolutely.
00:32:18Like, Nina and all of them are, like, the critics and the blogs
00:32:21and the thing.
00:32:22The challenges are, like, certain clients that hire you for things.
00:32:24Absolutely.
00:32:25And then also brought another side out of you that you didn't even realize was there.
00:32:29To be here and to finally be able to showcase something, like, you want to showcase your best,
00:32:33because we learned a lot since, at least me, I learned so much since I've been here.
00:32:37So much.
00:32:38All right.
00:32:39Let's do it.
00:32:40Here we go.
00:32:41Here we go.
00:32:41Oreo sandwich.
00:32:42Oh, it's the best Oreo that's ever been.
00:32:45Here we go, baby.
00:32:47Here we go, come on.
00:32:48I love y'all so much.
00:32:49Coming up, welcome to the Project Runway finale.
00:32:53And then pull the drawstring.
00:32:54Let me see the back.
00:32:55I'm going to bring it out.
00:32:57My heart is racing.
00:32:58I can feel it.
00:33:04They ain't never going to stop me, no, no.
00:33:07They ain't never going to top me, no, no.
00:33:09They ain't never going to stop me, no, no.
00:33:11Oh, wow.
00:33:13This is amazing.
00:33:14Look at this.
00:33:15Amazing.
00:33:17This was just a dream a few months ago.
00:33:20When I left my season, I didn't win.
00:33:22I placed third.
00:33:23So to be here right now, living it, it's everything.
00:33:28Can we just take a send before we leave?
00:33:31There is so much on the line, the grand prize, the mentorship,
00:33:35the public relations that I need so badly.
00:33:39There isn't one of these prizes that wouldn't change my life.
00:33:42BBL.
00:33:43BBL.
00:33:44Good luck, y'all.
00:33:45One, two, three.
00:33:48I feel like a mad man right now.
00:33:50Hi, everybody.
00:33:51No.
00:33:52Hi.
00:33:53No.
00:33:53Happy show day.
00:33:54All right.
00:33:55The show starts in one hour.
00:33:56No.
00:33:57You need to make sure all your models get through the work,
00:34:00hair with Tresemme, makeup with Bobbi Brown.
00:34:04Hi, y'all.
00:34:05Hi.
00:34:06Hello.
00:34:07So excited for the show.
00:34:10Hi.
00:34:11Hi.
00:34:12You guys know what it is, right?
00:34:14Sleep buns.
00:34:15Yeah.
00:34:16So for the makeup, can we just keep it in hair red, but gloss?
00:34:20Oh my God.
00:34:21I love and hate the stress backstage.
00:34:23And then pull the drawstring.
00:34:25I can feel it.
00:34:26My heart is racing.
00:34:27I'm freaking out.
00:34:28I don't know.
00:34:36Make sure you just keep this arm down.
00:34:38Everybody's getting it.
00:34:39Getting in look.
00:34:39They are.
00:34:40All right.
00:34:40Is there any way you could pull that skirt down?
00:34:41Turn her this way.
00:34:51Brittany, Laurence?
00:34:52Yes?
00:34:53Fish me, you're good?
00:34:54As good as we're going to be.
00:34:56Everybody looks amazing.
00:34:57All right, designers.
00:34:58That's it.
00:34:59That's time.
00:35:00You did it.
00:35:01It's showtime.
00:35:17Hi, everyone.
00:35:18Hi.
00:35:19Well, welcome to the Project Runway season 20 finale.
00:35:30Unfortunately, Brandon Maxwell couldn't be here with us tonight, but we are honored to have
00:35:35two fabulous guest judges, Emmy, Grammy, and two-time Tony award-winning actor and style
00:35:45Icon, the Billy Porter.
00:35:51Oh, my God.
00:35:52I'm going to have a heart attack.
00:35:55I love you guys.
00:35:57It's amazing.
00:35:58And award-winning fashion designer, a beloved member of the Project Runway family, the one
00:36:04and only Zach Pozen.
00:36:14Let's do it.
00:36:15Yes.
00:36:16Let's start the show.
00:36:23Tell me about it.
00:36:24I'm getting nervous.
00:36:25I am so nervous.
00:36:26It's already too late.
00:36:30Designer Gulch.
00:36:31Hi, everyone.
00:36:43My name is Brittany Allen.
00:36:44You might remember me from season 18.
00:36:46Yes, Brittany.
00:36:47Hi.
00:36:48Familiar faces.
00:36:50Hi.
00:36:51So, my collection is called Pop Gretchen.
00:36:54And essentially, the story of the collection is just a progression of color, print, and what
00:37:01I do best, which is active wear and ready-to-wear married together.
00:37:05So, I hope you love it as much as I loved making it.
00:37:08Special shout-out to my babe, who made it this special trek from Texas, and to Fabio,
00:37:14my best friend, who I could not have made this collection without.
00:37:17So, thank you guys so much.
00:37:40I am so thankful that this is the tone we are starting with, because it is everything.
00:37:44Everything.
00:37:48My collection, it has me written all over it.
00:37:50It's DNA, identity, everything that the judges wanted to see from me.
00:37:58Me pushing silhouettes and ideas that were my own in this very identifiable way.
00:38:05You can't look at this collection and not know exactly who it came from.
00:38:09Oh my God, it looks so good.
00:38:18This is the story of this buildup and progression of my growth and my aesthetic as a whole.
00:38:26It shows me and what I do, and it's just a small nod to the active wear,
00:38:37but it's elevating this progression story.
00:38:43It's a little conceptual, but you could wear these pieces at any time with anything.
00:38:47So, Jessica Zee is killing these pants.
00:39:01The pants are getting so much movement.
00:39:16With her walk, you see the dimension.
00:39:18Wow.
00:39:19And I love this look so much.
00:39:32This gown wrapping up this runway show, it could not have been showcased better.
00:39:38It is active wear Eleganza, and I am dead.
00:39:56The, like, athletic dress with the couture.
00:40:05Yeah, literally.
00:40:06I like it.
00:40:07You leave the gym and you can still look good.
00:40:09From gym to night.
00:40:10Exactly.
00:40:11Exactly.
00:40:12Honestly, this collection is beyond what I could have ever imagined.
00:40:17I have exceeded all expectations I had for myself, and really put genuinely everything I have
00:40:22into this eight-look collection for the finale.
00:40:39Fish me, you're about to go.
00:40:41We are ready when you are.
00:40:45Standing by.
00:40:46Okay.
00:40:47Okay.
00:40:48Let's go.
00:41:01Hello, everybody.
00:41:02My name is Vishmi Cromarty, and this show...
00:41:05Hi, y'all!
00:41:06Oh, my goodness!
00:41:07And my collection is about powering through.
00:41:10So, that's my message to everyone here.
00:41:12Just power through.
00:41:13Hope you love it.
00:41:14Love it.
00:41:14It's a pinch me moment for me
00:41:43because to actually be here at the finale is mind-blowing.
00:41:50It showcases so many different personalities
00:41:53that I have within me
00:41:55and so many different techniques that I have.
00:42:13To see the evolution of this collection
00:42:17is just amazing to me
00:42:20because I allowed all of the darkness
00:42:23and all of the things I've experienced in my past
00:42:26to help me get to this moment.
00:42:28And to be able to have this moment
00:42:49that I've been dreaming for
00:42:50since I first watched this show as a teenager,
00:42:54just breathtaking.
00:43:24The finale dress,
00:43:40what happens to be the anxiety gown,
00:43:43it's everything plus more.
00:43:45I've always told myself
00:43:57I will close my collection out
00:43:58with the most massive gown ever.
00:44:05I'm just thankful that I was able to see this
00:44:08and truly be pleased with everything that I created.
00:44:11incredible in such a short period of time.
00:44:23He's smart with his construction materials.
00:44:26I gotta literally step back and be proud of myself
00:44:29because I don't know if anyone
00:44:31would have been able to handle
00:44:33what I handled literally days before the runway show.
00:44:37He's blowing me away.
00:44:40Well, if anyone can follow him, it's Laurence.
00:44:43All right, girls, kill it.
00:44:45Two, one, Lauren, go.
00:44:47Yes!
00:44:48Yes!
00:44:49Yes!
00:44:50Yes!
00:44:51Woo!
00:44:52Woo!
00:44:53Woo!
00:44:54Woo!
00:44:55Woo!
00:44:56Woo!
00:44:57Woo!
00:44:58Hi, baby.
00:44:59I just want to say hello to Marley.
00:45:01I miss you.
00:45:01I love you.
00:45:02Mwah!
00:45:03My name is Laurence Bass.
00:45:06So my fashion is always inspired by where I'm from.
00:45:10So I wanted to make a collection about Paris
00:45:14because every time we talk about this city,
00:45:15we always see the beautiful side of it.
00:45:17And I wanted to bring the dark side of Paris
00:45:21and the beautiful mix together.
00:45:22Woo!
00:45:23So you guys enjoy and a plus.
00:45:27A plus.
00:45:29Love you guys.
00:45:30Miss you.
00:45:31Woo!
00:45:32This collection is me.
00:45:49It's a piece of me that I'm giving you.
00:45:54If you understand my collection,
00:45:55you'll get to understand a little bit of who I am.
00:45:57I feel like people are still thinking of leather like,
00:46:00there's only one or two things you can do with it.
00:46:01But leather has evolved so much that you can literally do anything with it.
00:46:05I feel like people are still thinking of leather like,
00:46:21there's only one or two things you can do with it.
00:46:23There's only one or two things you can do with it.
00:46:25But leather has evolved so much that you can literally do anything with it.
00:46:35That's what I want to do.
00:46:36I want to take leather to a whole new level.
00:46:39I came here saying I was the next Project Runway winner.
00:46:56So I really believe in my heart that I could win this whole thing.
00:46:59Watching my creations go down the runway, there's a whole bunch of emotions
00:47:08and it's a moment, you know what I mean?
00:47:12But overall, it's great.
00:47:38When the finale look comes down the runway,
00:47:44it is giving, giving, giving.
00:47:47I love the model, I love the look, I love the red.
00:47:54It was pretty clear from the beginning that she was going to close the show.
00:47:57I mean, of all the three designers,
00:48:13every material she used has nothing for giving.
00:48:16She's working with leather.
00:48:18Kind of amazing.
00:48:21This whole experience with Project Runway,
00:48:23you always learn something when you come here about yourself, about life,
00:48:27things that you don't even know you're capable of doing.
00:48:30So I'm super proud of me for making it this far.
00:48:40Oh my God, we did it.
00:48:41Oh my God, we did it.
00:48:42Yeah.
00:48:43It was 100% evidence that these designers were all stars.
00:48:47For the girls, for the girls.
00:48:49I especially enjoyed Britney's show because she didn't go over the top couture.
00:48:56She went, designed real clothes and real sportive and much more casual.
00:49:01Oh my mommy.
00:49:03Oh my mom.
00:49:04Oh my mom.
00:49:05You did good.
00:49:07That one with this whole one.
00:49:09Mm-hmm.
00:49:10She did that thing.
00:49:11Yes, she did.
00:49:12If I were picking a winner, I'd be going with Bishni.
00:49:14I loved that collection.
00:49:16I mean, it just felt very organic.
00:49:18It felt street, like it just was cohesive.
00:49:21I loved it.
00:49:22Haven't seen my baby in over two months.
00:49:25It's been a while.
00:49:26Yeah.
00:49:27Mm-hmm.
00:49:28You know, I have to say, I think it's Laurence's game to take the whole thing.
00:49:32I thought her collection was the most cohesive out of everybody's.
00:49:36Every look was better than the next.
00:49:39Thank you guys.
00:49:40You killed it.
00:49:41All of you did an amazing job.
00:49:44Yeah!
00:49:46I think this is going to be one of the hardest decisions in the history of Project Runway.
00:49:51There's only going to be one winner.
00:49:53Now we wait.
00:49:55Final three all-stars, we are so incredibly proud of you.
00:50:09So impressed by what you were able to achieve in just eight days.
00:50:16Really lovely.
00:50:17And of course, can we give it up for our guest judges today?
00:50:20Yes.
00:50:21Doug Pose and Billy Porter.
00:50:23Yes.
00:50:24We actually have two icons with us today, so.
00:50:27It's overwhelming.
00:50:29The three of you delivered three incredible different shows that relied on your unique
00:50:39point of view.
00:50:40I am always so moved by fashion, and I am so, so happy to be here.
00:50:50Laurence.
00:50:51Hi.
00:50:52So nice to see you.
00:50:53A reunion.
00:50:54A reunion.
00:50:55My pleasure.
00:50:56I think you're so talented.
00:50:57Five years on the show, the best tailor I've seen.
00:51:00You all delivered a unique vision, and you brought the drama.
00:51:06I'm blown away and very happy to be here.
00:51:10Thanks.
00:51:11Let's start with you, Brittany.
00:51:12Okay, let's do it.
00:51:13Tell us about the collection and your inspiration.
00:51:15I wanted to show the progression of introducing color and introducing prints and then combining
00:51:21colors that you wouldn't think that you would ever, you know, put together.
00:51:24Yes, it was eight looks, but it was 21 pieces.
00:51:27All interchangeable.
00:51:28Everything could have been swapped.
00:51:29This top with this skirt, with this jacket, with this bottom.
00:51:32It's really fun to make.
00:51:33You stood out, but you stood out in a good way.
00:51:36You found a way to put an evening gown in the context of your active wear world that
00:51:42you're building.
00:51:43It's magical what you've been able to do to elevate the active wear slash athleisure
00:51:51space.
00:51:52The culotte, the bra, like, I see it already.
00:51:55It's stunning.
00:51:56Wow.
00:51:57What an honor.
00:51:58I think the really interesting parts of your collection were the pieces where you took
00:52:03the inspiration of active wear, but did it in a more high fashion kind of luxury technique
00:52:10way.
00:52:11It kind of took it to a whole new place.
00:52:12My only criticism is off of the runway, it could go a little costume.
00:52:19Your styling was phenomenal.
00:52:22You gave every girl that ponytail, the hoops, and the same boots.
00:52:28So everything felt very cohesive.
00:52:31But what most impressed me was the pant version of this.
00:52:35And turning this pattern into a 3D perspective made me think, wow, you could do things on a
00:52:41bigger scale.
00:52:43Wow.
00:52:44My heart is full.
00:52:45It means so much.
00:52:46Thank you so much, Brittany.
00:52:48It's me.
00:52:50Tell us all about your collection.
00:52:52Tell us about your inspiration.
00:52:54We want to know everything.
00:52:55I wanted to showcase the good side of things, the not so good side when it gets a little
00:53:01rocky and rocky and then when you overpower the darkness and the things that kind of like build
00:53:06you to be the stronger version of yourself.
00:53:08The first opening look showcased the innocence.
00:53:11Innocence?
00:53:12Kind of like in the innocence.
00:53:13My version of innocence.
00:53:14She's a vixen.
00:53:15She loves it.
00:53:17And the red represent rage and the black just represent darkness.
00:53:21This dress actually represents anxiety that you overpower to kind of like turn it into something
00:53:26positive.
00:53:27I really love that this is called the anxiety gown because it doesn't feel like the anxiety
00:53:36is oppressive.
00:53:38It feels like you're moving through it.
00:53:41You got to that place where evening wear can become art.
00:53:45So you did something very special and very moving for me today.
00:53:49Vishmi, it was cohesive.
00:53:52It was inspiring.
00:53:53It was sophisticated.
00:53:55And most importantly, it was well edited.
00:53:58The juxtaposition of that kind of urban influence with the elegance of your work was genius.
00:54:06Vishmi, you always surprise me.
00:54:10And as an editor, I can see these on the pages of our magazine, on celebrities.
00:54:16Your clothes just have that fashion with a capital F. You have a gift, and I want you
00:54:22to feel confident about it.
00:54:24Thank you, Nina.
00:54:25That means a lot.
00:54:26The only look that I didn't think you needed was probably the latex gown.
00:54:33Gotcha.
00:54:34Because we've kind of moved away from the sleeves, which used to be your signature.
00:54:39And I think that you are a designer that has so many ideas.
00:54:42You don't really have to stick to one.
00:54:45Thank you so much, Vishmi.
00:54:46All right, Laurence.
00:54:47My inspiration was Paris.
00:54:51I'm an African girl.
00:54:52I was born in Normandy, so I wanted to bring both sides together and create my story.
00:54:58That's why I had so much hardware, leather, lace, and organza, which is like two worlds
00:55:05that usually don't really meet.
00:55:07Mm-hmm.
00:55:08I love coming to Project Runway because I get to shop.
00:55:10I want that.
00:55:11I just love this so much.
00:55:15I would love it with a flared pants.
00:55:17Okay.
00:55:18You can do that.
00:55:19We're going to exchange numbers.
00:55:20No problem.
00:55:21I got you.
00:55:22I need that.
00:55:23Laurence, you deliver garments that are so precise and well made.
00:55:32I love that pull and push of the romantic with the hard, that very sculptural jacket and
00:55:40the shine.
00:55:41These are things that could look terrible together, but will never do under your supervision.
00:55:48You're a tough candidate to beat.
00:55:52You exude an elegance and a sophistication and I can see evolution in your work, but
00:56:00it's still signature.
00:56:01The one look that I kind of had trouble with, the purple thing.
00:56:05Yeah.
00:56:06Where'd that come from?
00:56:07That wasn't the direction I was going with the suit, but I had to change the shape
00:56:11and it was supposed to be something else.
00:56:13Trust your gut is if you have that instinct, I think pull it.
00:56:17Okay.
00:56:18I love the duality of your inspiration, but mostly I was excited to see a new side of you.
00:56:25You were able to incorporate this joy, this fluidity, this poetry, this romance that we haven't associated with your work before.
00:56:36And you turned up the volume.
00:56:38In the history of Project Runway, I think you make clothes that look more expensive than anything this show has ever seen.
00:56:45Okay, designers, this is going to be an extremely painful, difficult decision to make tonight.
00:56:53Whoa.
00:56:54But it's time for us to decide the winner.
00:56:58Thank you guys.
00:57:01It's an honor.
00:57:11So we have three designers here who are worthy of winning the prize.
00:57:17And unfortunately, only one can win.
00:57:21Who do you see as the future of fashion, right?
00:57:24Yep.
00:57:25I feel like there is a case to be made for each and every one of these designers.
00:57:29Absolutely.
00:57:30They just are so incredibly different.
00:57:31For instance, with Brittany, she's in a class of her own because she's designing for activewear.
00:57:36And so it's challenging to even have Brittany in the same sentence as Laurence or Brishby.
00:57:42With Brittany, she got eight out of eight.
00:57:45You gave Brittany an eight out of eight?
00:57:47I was impressed with all of it.
00:57:49Honestly, I believe that she is capable of much more than just activewear.
00:57:54For sure.
00:57:55But also there's nothing wrong with just having that niche.
00:57:58Absolutely.
00:57:59Repetition is reputation.
00:58:00Work it out.
00:58:01That's really good.
00:58:02Yeah, I like that.
00:58:03That pant that she did, she took the fabric and she turned it into that 3D.
00:58:09Little texture.
00:58:10Yes.
00:58:11That was fantastic.
00:58:12Colors and textures that are not that easy to mix.
00:58:15At all.
00:58:16At all.
00:58:17That category is so important right now.
00:58:19Right.
00:58:20That activewear, right?
00:58:21My question is, what is the longevity of that?
00:58:24Right.
00:58:25Fashion is always changing.
00:58:28So who has that longevity or who is looking forward to fashion?
00:58:33Vishmi for me had the singular piece of the evening inside of that anxiety gown.
00:58:39He gave us a really well edited, a really thoughtful show that made you think the art on the finale piece.
00:58:46The tricks that work on the runway, the big tool train and the wow factor of that volume.
00:58:53But he added pieces of him and his heart in every single piece.
00:58:57It was like a crescendo, right?
00:58:59Yes.
00:59:00For eight pieces, I thought that was very well done.
00:59:03He created consistency through asymmetry from the hoodie dress to the top and skirt dress.
00:59:09The consistency is there, but they're done differently.
00:59:11Yeah.
00:59:12But it kind of follows through and then it goes into a print, which was really strong, into the fringe dress.
00:59:17Not my favorite, but that idea worked.
00:59:20I didn't feel like it would fit properly.
00:59:22It wasn't, but he has these elements that could like rock the red carpet.
00:59:27Absolutely.
00:59:28He reminds me of a Telfar.
00:59:29Yeah.
00:59:30Everything had like a street wear, street style influence.
00:59:33But ultimately, the thing that caught fire were those bags.
00:59:37Were those bags.
00:59:38That's the business.
00:59:39Some designers just love to make clothes, but not Bisbee.
00:59:42He loves the accessory and the clothes.
00:59:45Well, you know who I'd love to see make a bag?
00:59:47Laurence.
00:59:48Oh.
00:59:49Her technique.
00:59:50That leather bag.
00:59:51Her seaming.
00:59:52Those are the things that you really value in clothing.
00:59:54A mastery of technique.
00:59:56Inventive construction.
00:59:57Inventive construction.
00:59:58In leather.
00:59:59No joke.
01:00:00She's just remarkable.
01:00:01Like every single stitch and moment was really brilliant.
01:00:07She's a sexy tailor.
01:00:08She's a sexy tailor.
01:00:09With edge.
01:00:10Right.
01:00:11But she's not a good editor because she had this purple thing.
01:00:14I would have done anything to get rid of that.
01:00:17The moments where she messed up were forgettable to me.
01:00:20To the point where I would give her double points for each look that I loved.
01:00:25Because I loved it so much.
01:00:27The biker jacket could not fit better.
01:00:30And same with the skirt.
01:00:31This is what I would want to go to the red carpet.
01:00:33And with all of that said, when this is a finale runway moment, give me a little more.
01:00:40Sometimes wow doesn't need to be big.
01:00:42It doesn't need to be big.
01:00:43We're talking about a gown.
01:00:44I mean, I'm a gown guy.
01:00:45Just take our breath away.
01:00:46Sometimes things can be quiet in their power.
01:00:50Yes.
01:00:51Yeah.
01:00:52And that speaks to her taste level.
01:00:53Yeah.
01:00:54That's what makes her such a tasteful, elevated, refined, sophisticated designer.
01:00:58That red jacket in patent leather with the lace, payette, skirt was fabulous.
01:01:05Yeah.
01:01:06It absolutely is.
01:01:08It's hard.
01:01:09All of them have that super power that will make them a phenomenal winner.
01:01:15Mm-hmm.
01:01:18Okay.
01:01:19Do we have the winner of Project Runway season 20?
01:01:23Yes, we do.
01:01:26Yes.
01:01:27Ah!
01:01:32Woo!
01:01:33Woo!
01:01:34Woo!
01:01:35Nice line, bro.
01:01:36Woo!
01:01:37Woo!
01:01:38Woo!
