00:05:47on the butler's jacket by creating a very cropped laser with a dinner jacket lapel with high-waisted
00:05:54pants I think I want some aren't incorporated into this madness so I'm just used to women's croquis so
00:05:59I think I'm just gonna draw women's croquis but let's dial on it less curves perhaps less curves more

00:07:58some people think that draping is just for women but I really want to incorporate that into a men's
00:08:03challenge so the sleeve on the jacket instead of having a straight seam the seam actually wraps
00:08:10around and the seam becomes the design itself what if he wore the coolest most amazing draped slinky
00:08:19like skirt I like that I feel like menswear has been so rigid for a long time and this reads a new
00:08:28aesthetic and creates almost like a really cool marriage I'll do three yards of this when you have
00:08:34a minute you love this you love this I love this I keep coming back to it and I thought that with
00:08:42the peacocking thing I can make it cool that it's like both sides okay I'm gonna make this really
00:08:48beautiful pair of pants that have the placket that I love so much one garment can be styled in many
00:08:54different ways with just simply snapping it closed or opening it up I like this designers 10 minute

00:10:18time to get over that menswear is not my forte and the last time it's just an absolute disaster I'm
00:10:26shocked that this is your design it felt like a douchey Hamptons party oh I've had a lot of time to think about it oh my god wow no I've had three years to you know run through my head what I could have done differently but I cannot be second-guessing myself I have to come in here and show that I am indeed a confident designer that knows what she contributes

00:40:23this look embodies both masculine and the feminine two energies that i think are present in most people
00:40:29i think that this is a great way to see it come to life in the form of a design

00:40:43i'm taking it in it is made for me definitely something that i would wear i love the painting i love what it's doing but the overall look is almost kind of falling flat a little bit
00:40:58i love high-wissed pants i love the pleats this is my kind of nod to retro but the color is very burgundy right now on the runway
00:41:19i can already feel that it's going to be a problem because it is a problem for me
00:41:25but i think this is enough to stay in this competition

00:44:30i want to kind of somehow merge the romance of womenswear with the structure of menswear
00:44:37and then i wanted to kind of bring a sexy element which is exposing one arm
00:44:42i just wanted something that could be suitable for uh tying the knot ceremony or a red carpet or something in that sense

00:44:52this felt original i think you did a great job i'm going to throw it to coleman would you wear this

00:45:00the stylist that i worked with asked me when i was going to my first emmys what did i want to wear and what i want to feel like
00:45:07i said something elegant in my best self and they said what about the color cream
00:45:11because cream is so classic and you're always understated no matter how fantastic the design i said that's perfect
00:45:18so when this came out it reminded me of all those feelings
00:45:20thank you so much i appreciate that
00:45:22there's some fit issues
00:45:24i think there's something about the fabric that looks a little bit inexpensive but ultimately the idea spoke to me so much
00:45:33that i was willing to overlook some of that

00:45:42yes the pants are separate he put the pants on first they have a zipper in them
00:45:45and then i wrapped the skirt around over the pants and then the jacket came on

00:48:32well i wanted to take a little take onto the butler's jacket by recreating my own fabric
00:48:38so i actually painted over this
00:48:40i wanted to keep it somewhat fresh with the see-through turtleneck
00:48:45it's not my favorite
00:48:46and i hate the copper mesh turtleneck
00:48:51that's what really disturbed me
00:48:53it's just too much shine with shine
00:48:57it just felt like there were a lot of ideas all in the same direction
00:49:01talk to me about the color story
00:49:03i thought this color being pink was so bold that it would translate better
00:49:08this mesh i really wanted like a metallic something and that's the one that i could find
00:49:14i think it's very important for men who are walking red carpets to know what story they're telling
00:49:20and i think i lean on a designer to also help me tell that story
00:49:25and so if the story's unclear it doesn't resonate
00:49:29it felt like a nutcracker just waiting to go to the gay club
00:49:34like i don't know that's what it felt to me
00:49:36your painting and your artistic point of view it is something that we love so much about you
00:49:42this felt not as elevated as we've seen from you before

00:50:21and timothy chalamet for this look that is hot
00:50:24thank you i would wear that out it is sexy it is victorian it is disco timothy who harry what
00:50:32it became about you it's such a fun look i love the oversized bow that blouse
00:50:40and there's something about the fabric of the pant i have to say
00:50:43have i seen it before yes it does look a little bit gucci
00:50:48i'm not saying that it's a good or a bad thing it just needs to be said

00:51:40laurence tell us about your look my client in my head was lenny kravitz going to a musical event for red carpet so i wanted to play with the kilt type of vibe with a suit pants and a bulletproof vest
00:52:00i must say that this wasn't the the most inspired red carpet look for me it didn't peacock enough
00:52:08okay if you're gonna go rockstar go full out
00:52:10yeah i picked another fabric to do like a cool like metal metallic shirt but i wasn't sure about it so i just decided not to go with it
00:52:18okay yeah laurence yes the girl who's on fire mm-hmm i am confused about the vision kind of two different
00:52:32vibes that are put together in a way that's confusing especially with the shoe for me this was a miss all right
00:52:38thank you it's just two different things in one to me it's a confused businessman who moonlights at like an snm bar
00:52:46yes i'm going to ask you something that coleman pointed out what is the story with this look
00:53:04so first i was thinking about a version of me but as a male so a very masculine man with a feminine a little feminine side
00:53:14but the bullet proof vest yes with the pleated skirt i mean is it just opposites working that's what i do a lot
00:53:24with my own style so for me it doesn't shock me but like i said i understand if it's a no-go for a lot of people
00:53:31i mean you could wear this if you were lenny kravitz but with a different shoe that skirt you could wear
00:53:36if you're lenny kravitz me i mean i would sit down that bus right now i do think lenny kravitz could probably pull off
00:53:41everything and this included the pieces by themselves are okay they're tasteful that vest is impeccable
00:53:50but i feel like i'm missing the story yeah it just doesn't work together

00:54:28okay it's really nice to see rami pushing himself i just thought that there was a really original idea there
00:54:34i love that he's going for that mix between masculine and feminine i thought it was beautiful
00:54:39rami's look felt really inspired and very original and ultimately it was peacocking in sort of this like quiet elegant way
00:54:49yeah you know you're wearing that on like your best night i i'm kind of obsessed with a tuxedo for men or for women
00:54:56and i've seen a lot of tuxedos but i haven't seen one like this the one sleeve the draping the pants the tunic over the pants
00:55:06it was fantastic should we talk about bishmi bishmi gave us a moment like we're asking them to give us
00:55:14peacocking menswear he did that with a capital p i love the color yeah i still wanted one element to go away
00:55:23that hat you were right the hat was not working for me at all no for the runway you need to get the
00:55:30attention of the audience and this hat is an accessory just to do that right he knows how to bring the bold
00:55:41into his design i could see bishmi putting on a runway show agree he has it agree i still did not like
00:55:50the hat should we talk about britney you guys i think britney's hitting her stride it feels so good
00:55:55to watch a designer come on this show and just listen to the feedback and just get better and better and
00:56:02better and better and that's what we're seeing from britney britney's outfit is really inspired it's fun
00:56:06it's playful it's poetic it's folded in together to tell a cohesive story and i agree with what you said
00:56:12elaine to see her pushing herself and coming out with something great is exciting i loved those pants
00:56:19but it is a bit referential i mean this is true look harry styles has worn that look actually we've seen
00:56:28that pant in another fabric the look has been done it's not totally original but it's fun and that's
00:56:34kind of the moment that we're living in so do we all know who our winner is we all agree we all agree
00:56:42all right there's two designers that are in the bottom praje and laurence their feathers were spread
00:56:50but unfortunately they did not grab our attention in a good way praje's look the story was really
00:56:56confusing to me i don't know what i'm looking at right i just understand what this is and who is it for
00:57:02who is it for it wasn't my favorite look i wouldn't know what i was trying to do on this carpet i
00:57:08absolutely agree and nothing in the year of 2023 has offended nina garcia more than this gold mesh
00:57:16turtleneck copper copper the the pink with the copper it was so weird but it wasn't even pink
00:57:24combination of colors here was so odd which is so strange because he's a painter
00:57:30i love praje's art i did not need it all over this suit tonight it was just a case of everything gone
00:57:38wrong i'm not sure what happened to the project who was such a confident artist and designer who gave us
00:57:46complete looks i think he's so in his head about the feedback that he's gotten that he's lost yeah i think the
00:57:52editing might have confused him a bit but i think project just might have been very confused with the
00:57:56challenge he has done some incredibly dramatic yes looks but can we talk about i mean he did do
00:58:04something dramatic tonight just wasn't not that good dramatic not too good dramatic but can we talk
00:58:08about laurence no drama at all what happened how can laurence be on top two weeks in a row and then fall
