00:00Morning, folks. It's another one of those days where you really can't trust what's going on outside your window.
00:06If it's bright sunshine right now, be prepared for showers later on.
00:09And if it's pouring down with rain, well, a sunny spell shouldn't be too far away.
00:13Yes, that mix of sun and showers yet again across the country.
00:16The showers moving along thanks to a fairly brisk wind.
00:19It's a bright start over the Midlands, much of eastern England, but here the cloud bubbling up.
00:24And so really by late morning, it's showers pretty much everywhere.
00:28It won't be quite as wet today as it was in northwest Scotland and not quite as windy, but still a boisterous, blusterous kind of a day.
00:36And temperature wise, well, when the sun's out, getting up into the mid to high teens, but feeling a little fresher because of that breeze.
00:44And certainly temperatures will take a dip when the showers come along.
00:47And not just showers, some of them pretty heavy downpours, even the likelihood of the odd rumble of thunder and flash of lightning here and there.
00:54And plenty of showers still around this evening.
00:56So if you're heading out, heading away on the roads, be prepared for a lot of spray and surface water.
01:01If anything, we'll see some heavier downpours working into western areas as we go through the nights, working across Scotland, northern England, perhaps the far southeast of England too.
01:10Temperatures overnight, well, mostly dipping down to about 9 to 11 degrees Celsius.
01:14So Saturday is going to be another day of sunshine and showers, although likely to be a bit of a wet start across the southeast of England and the northeast of Scotland.
01:24The rain here, first thing, should clear away.
01:27And then we're looking at more showers spiralling in from the west.
01:30Plenty of them across the west, not as many further east.
01:34A decent chance that much of the afternoon could be dry over northeast England and northeast Scotland.
01:39And there will be sunshine between the showers and the showers continuing to zip through on that breeze, which will again bring a fresh feel.
01:47So it's sunshine and showers for the next couple of days out in the Atlantic.
01:52However, we're keeping a close eye on this area of low pressure that's going to intensify over the next 48 hours as it approaches the Republic of Ireland.
02:00These weather fronts will bring some heavy rain across the country during Sunday.
02:04That needs to be kept a close eye and after all the downpours over recent days.
02:08And then we have a Met Office yellow wind warning in place for parts of Wales, southern and western England.
02:15Those gusty winds likely to pick up as that low approaches, particularly so on Sunday evening.
02:20So something to keep a close eye on, as I say, over the next day or so.
02:24For more details on Sunday's weather, you can watch Honours weekend weather forecast from yesterday.
02:29That is available on our YouTube channel.
