02:21to terms with my breast augmentation and my facial feminization. As for SRS which is
02:27reencyment surgery I have not. Mainly because I'm proud of being a transgender woman and I
02:31wouldn't change what I was created for. A lot of people question my sexuality because
02:36they think that I'm gay because I'm a trans woman because yes she originally was a man. We all know that.

04:14And it's opened my eyes, dating a trans woman,

04:45A lot of people don't know that I really did suffer
04:48from a bad drug addiction.
04:50I was a lost.
04:53I took a lot of work to find myself,
04:55and I owe it to that lady out there.
04:57Well, I was always religious.
04:59I was born and raised Christian,
05:00and my religion solidified when I seen him at his lowest,
05:05and I thought I was at my lowest.
05:07The lowest of the low is watching my girlfriend
05:09have to sell all of her diamond jewelry
05:11and all of her designer bags,
05:13so she could get me another bag or get me another shot.
05:15And the last time that I got high, I said goodbye.
05:18I don't want to live anymore.
05:20I woke up 28 hours later.
05:21I didn't know where I was.
05:23I found God when I was in the hospital.
05:25Through the cracks of the curtains,
05:26I saw my wife sitting there like this,
05:29saying, I love you, don't give up, I need you.
05:31From that moment on, I found it pretty important
05:34to try to bring God into our life,
05:36because there's something bigger and greater
05:37out there than us,
05:38and we truly believe in that around here.
05:40So we're gonna pray.
05:42Initially, my friends and family
05:44wasn't so sure about our relationship
05:46because of his past with his addiction.
05:48She begged, I don't know what I'm gonna do with you,
05:50but she never gave up on me.
05:51Rehab after rehab, try 16 rehabs in six months.
05:57That's how much she didn't give up on me.
06:00I'm just coming up on just about nine months sober,
06:03because it's just about waking up sober
06:05and going to bed sober.
06:06I've been very proud of his sobriety.
06:08At the end of the day, seeing it firsthand,
06:11his experience has been so rough for the both of us.
06:14Him being sober and showing me that he can do it,
06:17proving everybody wrong,
06:18has been the most proudest moment of my life.
06:36It's been hard.
06:39It's the hardest thing somebody will go through.

08:28community the way that you do, when a lot of men are scared and ashamed to be with trans
