00:32My name's Cristian. I've lost friends because I'm engaged to my trans fiance, Eden.
00:36So we met two years ago. Cristian's a teacher
00:39and I saw one of his students post a video of him on TikTok.

01:20And like being from Texas, I didn't really know what that,
01:22what that is or what that's about.
01:23I was like, it doesn't bother me, whatever.
01:25Even before you transitioned,
01:26I wouldn't say you're like the most masculine boy I've ever seen,
01:29to be honest with you.
01:30I transitioned around 18, 19.
01:32I've pretty much always known I was different,
01:34but I didn't have the right words to articulate my feelings
01:38until I saw a trans person on TV.
01:40And that's when I realized like, oh my God, like this is me.
01:43A lot has changed, but like I can still see myself in this.
01:47This was probably the last photo you'll see of me as in boy mode.

01:52This is a point where like if I saw you on Tinder or something,
01:55like I would definitely be swiping right.

01:58Does it feel weird like looking at that

02:03You know, this is not like what I'd be typically physically attracted to.
02:08And physical attraction is really important in relationships.

02:16And then like, I started getting like random hate messages.
02:18And like, I had never experienced something like that.
