00:00We're here at Gerald J. Ford Stadium where SMU fell in a heartbreaker to Baylor 48-45 in double
00:10overtime. SMU came out early where Kevin Jennings found Romello Brinson for the opening touchdown
00:16and also hit Jalen Cooper for a 75-yard bomb. SMU led at the half 24-20.
00:23I'm disappointed to lose. It's not ever something that we're going to get content with.
00:29Give Dave and that team credit. I think it was a really well-played football game and both teams
00:34played hard. In the second half, running back T.J. Harden took over with two rushing touchdowns
00:40including a 40-yard run. Finishing with three for the day. Yeah, it's a football game. I mean,
00:45stuff's going to happen. We're playing a good team. We're going to make plays. We're going to make
00:49plays. Our mindset was just a 0-0. Let's go finish it off. But you know, the outcome didn't happen
00:54like that. They made more plays than we made at the end of the game. But Baylor
00:59never went away. In double overtime, Baylor managed to seal the deal with a kick, ending
01:04the game with a final score of 48-45. Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson passed for 440
01:10yards and four touchdowns. For more on SMU, tune in to Spectrum Cable Channel 15 on Wednesdays
01:16and Thursdays at 11 p.m. I'm Candice Lamb with D210 Sports and you've been credentialed.
