00:00Kaelin Dabore, you have number six, who's at Alabama.
00:02He's made it to a national championship at Washington.
00:04He had Alabama in the playoff.
00:06They won a playoff.
00:08Yeah, they won a playoff game over Oklahoma last year.
00:11Yet it feels like he's probably of your rankings.
00:16Do you think it's safe to say, Bill,
00:18that he might be the highest-ranking coach on the hot seat?
00:24Yeah, that's what doesn't make sense.
00:26And by the way, his last three quarterbacks all drafted.
00:28You know, two first-round picks, whether you like it or not.
00:31You know, Michael Penix and Ty Simpson were first-round picks.
00:35And he's got a situation this year where Alabama should be pretty good.
00:39He's won pretty good in big games.
00:41It's just, you know, when you lose at Alabama, it's a little more magnified.
00:45So he is certainly that coach in the top 25 where you look at and say,
00:50you know, they're going to pick at him a little bit.
00:53And the other being, who was a very hard coach to rank,
00:58was Lincoln Riley at 15.
01:01You know, obviously, he's had success at Oklahoma.
01:04He has a really good overall record as a coach.
01:08But the last three years at USC have been just okay.
01:11And there's a lot of pressure on the Trojans to get to the college football
01:14playoff this year.
01:15So, you know, there are some that would say Lincoln Riley should barely be in the
01:19top 25.
01:20And the others that would say, yeah, he's probably more around 10, 11.
01:24Bill, would you, um, have you ever thought about doing like a senior superlatives list
01:29on this, like highest ranking coach in the hot seat?
01:32Or one of the other things with it is you were talking about Lincoln Riley.
01:37Because what, probably five years ago, he was a top five coach, you would say, I'm guessing.
01:42Oh, yeah, for sure.
01:44I mean, he's been in our top 10 several years.
01:47I mean, I would even argue like probably when he left Oklahoma to go to USC, people
01:50probably viewed him as a top five coach.
01:52And he's probably right around that area for you and kind of looked at some of the
01:56ranges of kind of where these guys have gone throughout their career.
02:00I mean, Lincoln Riley, I think is an interesting one.
02:02James Franklin's an interesting one.
02:04James Franklin's an interesting one.
