00:00One school that could very well be firing their head coach if things do not go well is the Baylor

00:06And this is a program where you are at least incredibly familiar with their starting quarterback.
00:12I mean, you know, we've had a weird run of like these five-star freshmen who come in and it's
00:18not smooth running, right?
00:21We just, you know, Julian Lewis, obviously, last year at CU.
00:24You know, the Malachi Nelson thing is not last year, but it's not like far removed.
00:28D.J. Lagway at Florida was someone I thought was going to have a phenomenal season.
00:33Just could never get out of his own way.
00:36But was that coaching?
00:38I mean, you give me your thoughts on it.
00:41I'm going to give D.J. Lagway a little bit of a pass.
00:45And I expect him to do well at Baylor because we're going to find out real quickly.
00:49I do think it was Billy Napier, awful.
00:53Falling, roster construction, game management, across the board, FF and more Fs.
00:59D.J. Lagway absolutely could have been a victim of that coaching staff and what Napier didn't bring there, just
01:06like he didn't get the most out of Anthony Richardson either.
01:08So you're talking about two guys that were highly recruited quarterbacks that have been a disaster there.
01:14And Lagway goes to Baylor, maybe a fresh start.
01:18It's home, by the way.
01:18He's from that area.
01:20You know, he went to Gainesville going away from home.
01:23So maybe a little home cooking will help.
01:25I like Baylor plus seven and a half today because the fresh start.
01:30You remember, he was a five star.
01:31He was one of the highest recruited quarterbacks in the country.
01:33And to be honest, the only reason they kept Billy Napier an extra year was so D.J. Lagway didn't
01:39leave.
01:39But then you saw what happened last year, both with a disaster and everyone's like, all right, enough's enough.
01:44Let's start over.
01:45I think Lagway will do better.
01:47I'm not convinced he's going to show five star potential, but this is a guy who was less than 20
01:53to one to win the Heisman one year ago today.
01:55So think about that when you look at Baylor that they have a guy who was a five star who
02:01was 18, 19 to one to win the Heisman 365 days ago.
02:05You know, the thing is, man, you watch the D.J. Lagway highlights.
02:12I'm like, you see it bad.
02:13And maybe like, you know what I mean?
02:16And maybe those are still too burned into my brain, but I played some Baylor here.

02:21And I don't like dislike Auburn.
02:24I, I see the vision with being able to keep Durkin.
02:29So with it, Hey, our defenses, you know, Auburn and our offense is South Florida.
02:34But the offense being South Florida is a Byron Brown kid who had made me play at this level.
02:39Obviously they beat Florida last year.
02:40Um, you know, you know, so can this combination work?
02:45It is a neutral side game.
02:47Like, you know, like it's not, we're not playing on right at Auburn here.
02:51So I think seven and a half is like a tick too expensive.
02:55Like at six and a half, I might be willing to lay it or, you know, probably back all the
02:59way.
02:59I think getting that hook for a desperate, you know, Dave Aranda squad here was worth it.

03:26They're not going to win the conference, but my buddy, Joe DeLeon was, was, was on my podcast,
03:31debating with Barron podcast last week.
03:33And he said he had Cal, uh, the, the, the over six and a half wins.
03:37He really liked it.
03:37And I asked him for three win totals.
03:39And that was one of the three.
03:41I like Cal tonight.
03:42It's going to be an exciting game, but of the two, I like Baylor plus seven and a half.

03:48And to be honest, I don't trust Auburn.
03:50I do like the South Florida offense and I saw enough of it last year versus Florida, but
03:56I'm in a survivor pool, which we all now come to love.
03:58And one pool is just FBS versus FBS.
04:01There's only like 10 matchups.
04:02I couldn't go with Auburn.
04:04I didn't trust him.
04:04I like Baylor plus the number of the two games.
