00:00Sonic the Hedgehog in the Fourth Dimension.
00:03It starts out with a prologue that wastes my time,
00:06although it's nice that it establishes Eggman's backstory where he absorbed evil as canon to this.
00:13But it could have done that much faster since Stay Sonic explained all of it in one sentence.
00:20It seems to be the same prologue as last time based on a few identical sentences.
00:26What are the two prologues?
00:28And most of this book has sentences in the narration that are worthless and boring.
00:34But if the editor did his job, then content fit into 162 pages.
00:40We all know most kids want to read a book that long.
00:43Eggman eventually puts a device that would somehow hurt the eyes to look at for too long,
00:49despite it not being glowing, into the chest of a beetle robot.
00:54Then Eggman establishes his character by stupidly telling the robots off for calling a master instead of a really long title that'd make it take longer for them to go off and work.
01:07He would have programmed them to call a master,
01:10so he must have changed his mind about what title he wanted after that.
01:14Why do the robots still call a master even after he corrects them?
01:20And somehow he doesn't mind.
01:23I guess he doesn't have a way to reprogram them all at once.
01:27It's good that he doesn't make them like that, because then the heroes would eventually figure out how to.
01:32So it's smart of him.
01:34Why do the robots flicker instead of reply, even though they talked to him to respond last time?
01:41Eggman makes time puns, which unnecessarily spoils what he plans to do,
01:46even if the dinosaur on the cover wasn't a spoiler already.
01:50It's disappointing to me because it's not how I expected the dimension he'd be sent to to be like,
01:55and I've already seen Sonic and Dinosaurs in the same story.
02:00At least this is the first time it happened.
02:03This book was released in September 1993,
02:07before RG Sonic had Sonic had sent back to Dinosaur Times,
02:11and before the OSDH episode about that.
02:14I don't know why Sonic's last adventure was exhausting to him,
02:18because Sonic doesn't get tired from running the amount of times he does in the games.
02:22Well, eventually it's revealed this is a Game Gear game Sonic's playing.
02:27So that's the answer for anything confusing about this.
02:31But because it's all just a game,
02:33reading all of that was pointless.
02:36Tails is too long-winded when trying to help him break the cockpit of the spacecraft with coconuts,
02:42and then it has him tell him to shut up.
02:44Which is a shame, but more believable for someone with an attitude.
02:47Sonic wins the game and is disappointed because he was told it was going to be a really tough game.
02:54But why does he think he'd want that when the game had him be irritable with the difficulty he'd already had?
03:01Sonic complains that the game only lasted an hour and a half,
03:05blissfully unaware of how hypocritical it was of a Sonic book to make this criticism.
03:11Tails doesn't mention replay value to him.
03:13Sonic thinks the hero of the game is lame.
03:17And there really is no way the hero of the game would have a catchphrase of I'll be bark.
03:23Surprisingly, Tails sniffles and eats to blow his nose on his tails because Sonic wasn't impressed.
03:29He says that Sonic's so good at everything and he tries to be as cool as him but it's impossible.
03:34Even at video games.
03:37While it's accurate to have Tails being secure,
03:39this isn't used nearly as much as you'd think for one of his official traits.
03:44I'm not sure if he's supposed to be sensitive too.
03:47Not this long after he met him.
03:51The classic era thought Tails was the same age he is in the new game, so that's not it.
03:56But still, he was younger than now either way.
03:59It'd be worse if it was a recent book.
04:00Sonic thankfully has written to feel bad and tell him to chill and encourage him that he's got plenty of time to get better with his help.
04:09Then the story starts wasting my time with descriptive narration of Green Hill Zone that tells me nothing new.
04:15Until it says there's an inhabitant of it living near a lake.
04:19At least the previous scene seemed a little new.
04:22Sonic playing video games is hardly new.
04:25But I can't remember a time Tails helped him with a handheld game before.
04:28The narration describes one or two personality traits of Sonic's friends.
04:34But if it's not actually using them as characters, it doesn't deserve to be mentioned until it gets it wrong.
04:40Porker shouldn't be teasing anyone.
04:42Based on Fleetway.
04:44But if I'm exposed to it enough, maybe I'll change my mind.
04:48Tails says they should join their friends, and Sonic says good call and challenges them to a race.
04:53And Tails is also smart enough to take off instantly while he's busy glancing around.
04:59In a second, he was almost out of sight.
05:02Sonic does a super peel out, and then starts to spin on the spot for some reason.
05:07Sonic's foot catches on something sticking up out of the ground,
05:10and Tails trips over Sonic's leg and lands further down the hill and rolls to the bottom through Sally's picnic and into the lake.
05:17And the water splashes everyone.
05:21Tails says sorry and says he beat Sonic in the race.
05:25Which makes sense since he had a head start.
05:28Sally says Tails can do the washing up for the picnic because he's so fast.
05:33Even though he's only fast when moving ahead.
05:36So this would only make sense if she was just joking because he braved.
05:40That was still a call for since he clearly isn't the one who needs his ego checked.
05:44Sonic is.
05:45And it would have been satisfying if Sonic did have that happen after he lost Tortoise in the hairstyle long before Archie.
05:53Instead, Sonic's distracted by a long, twisted, rusty thing with moths.
05:59Tails says it doesn't look like something Eggman made.
06:02Even though it's clearly made of metal.
06:05Because the only things he left in Green Hill last time were a few springs and item monitors and badnik remains.
06:12Wait, the springs weren't from Eggman?
06:14Why would he waste his time putting springs in the levels?
06:18I thought they were made by the people who live there for fun and to make it easier to get around.
06:23Sonic tells Tails,
06:25Smart thinking my foxy friend.
06:28So now he's happy he's thinking too much.
06:31That's not the usual definition of foxy though.
06:34And it doesn't make any sense to remind him that he's a fox either.
06:37Wouldn't that be seen as insensitive at best?
06:41Sonic says Porker's the science type dude.
06:44Which helps the audience because it's the first time a book established that.
06:49But Porker already knows this, so why does he say it?
06:52The writer's aware of how Porker was changed for the better in Sonic the comic.
06:56Why did he still establish him as being the teasing type?
07:01Porker says it's a single machine and somehow is certain that the dial and button don't work just from looking at it.
07:09Sonic says he found this on the hill by tripping on it.
07:12Sonic has another anti-hero moment as he doesn't look forward to doing the washing up even though it'd be a good deed.
07:18It turns out the mess and picnic vanished.
07:22Sally angrily wonders who stole the food and Sonic has to tell her to chill and somehow thinks no one took the food.
07:29He has to be the one to point out that there's sand here that's nothing like the sand that belongs here and there's no footprints.
07:37The new surface of the beach feels hard and the lake looks more unpleasant.
07:42Johnny notices a bad smell first and Sonic has to take a deep breath to notice it.
07:49So rabbits have a better sense of smell than hedgehogs and foxes and squirrels and pigs.
07:55Anyone who didn't talk, I'm not imagining them here.
07:58I don't feel like taking forever doing the research to see if that's realistic when this aren't exactly like the real animals anyways.
08:06And I doubt that googling it would immediately tell you the answer when there's so many species in that sentence.
08:13I'd rather just make my point that it's not fair to have only one of these animals retain the great sense of smell their species really has just to give them a superpower.
08:24Sonic has to ask if he ever told his friends about Oil Ocean Zone.
08:27Even though the kind of person he is in the story who would call his washing up skills most excellent and totally heroic because he's cocky in the games, is someone who would have told his friends about the entirety of an adventure of his.
08:41He says Tails and him trashed every machine in that place.
08:45So they went out of their way to go through every alternate route to be every badnik.
08:51That's in character, but what a chore.
08:54Porker disappears, and Sonic tells everyone to stay still on the flimsy assumption that only moving makes you disappear.
09:00Even though it's already been made obvious that someone's altering reality, and I assume it's been caused by Eggman doing stuff in the past.
09:08The narration says that Sonic knew that as Green Hill's resident hero, it was up to him to show some leadership because otherwise Sally would, which would give Sonic a headache.
09:20It doesn't explain why.
09:22So I have to assume it's because he hates seeing anyone but him boss people around, which would only be because of arrogance, at best.
09:31This is the only way I can rationalize why Sonic would ever be against authority in general, and makes him look no different than Eggman in the same situation.
09:40So the Game Peer's idea of Sonic being against all authority just makes him look bad, and the same people insist he's not confident.
09:49A dark cloud obscures the sun, and a fat rat-like girl he doesn't recognize walks over to the picnic.
09:57Sally's memories are altered to fit the current timeline, even though that didn't happen earlier, making her recognize her and call Sonic a twit just for being forgetful.
10:09Why would Sonic and Tails' memories be affected by the timeline shift?
10:14Eggman must have somehow had this be the case on purpose just to mess with them and cause them to go after him.
10:20Apparently, the Time Stones can do that, or whatever discount Time Stones he's using in the Sonic CD-style story, but not on Little Planet this time, which is no noticeable difference.
10:33Sonic CD was only released in Europe on October 1993, and this is a UK book released on 30th September, and been in the writing process before that.
10:46The writer might have seen the ads for Sonic CD and been inspired by it, or more likely been told about what its plot would be.
10:55It was in Japan a week before this book came out, and video games are in production way longer than novels.
11:02Sally calls this place Brown Hill Zone, and Sonic holds out the large pebble he had picked up from the beach off-screen and turns it over,
11:10where engraved in it is Copyright Robotnik Industries.
11:16He did it to that one pebble he knew he'd find just to scare Sonic.
11:21It's a good thing he was explained at the start of the book that Eggman's got all the world's evil in him,
11:27but he made sure Porker was never born, because he would have been a replacement hero with his science mastery,
11:33but hasn't done enough to him yet to make him want revenge on him.
11:36A thunderstorm with Hale in it happens, making everyone run for shelter under the palm trees,
11:42which aren't as tall and healthy as they're supposed to be.
11:45Tails says he never saw Hale here before,
11:48and the story gets padded out with his complaining and being argued with in the same way as before.
11:54The fat rat, Carrie, believes Tails and her have been engaged for a while,
11:59even though he'd obviously never be into her, and he's eight,
12:03so she's insane.
12:04Or lying.
12:05And I have to assume everyone's too polite to point this out,
12:09but that just makes it frustrating.
12:11She's worse than Amy by holding Tails despite him trying to escape.
12:16Sonic looks down at the impressions she had made in the muddy ground,
12:20which had the reversed copyright symbol.
12:23He figures that this means Eggman made her,
12:26and wastes time asking Eggman what he did and threatens him as if he can hear him.
12:30Carrie takes issue with them calling him Tails, even though only his friends do it,
12:36and talks like she's rich and is overprotective of him.
12:39Sonic's mature enough to do his best to ignore this, as the narration says,
12:44and instead he does some more observance.
12:46He says something huge and scaly rise to the surface of the lake,
12:50and says that's not an escape route then.
12:54Sonic somehow values Carrie over Tails and runs away instead of telling him to let go and attacking her if she refuses.
13:02Which his friends should understand, because Tails would be looking uncomfortable.
13:06And he shouldn't care what they think of him because he's Sonic,
13:10and has an unshakable ego.
13:12And all this will get undone by him anyways when he makes it so that this creature never existed.
13:16So because he runs off alone,
13:19he has no one to talk to and doesn't think either.
13:22Which is boring because I'm left with nothing but narration.
13:25But having dialogue too would slow down the plot progression,
13:28so this is actually good.
13:30The dialogue's boring anyways.
13:32The narration says the rain slicks his spines back against his skin,
13:37which makes it uncomfortable for him to run apparently.
13:41Maybe he's overthinking it.
13:42I'm sure there's been rainy levels before.
13:45Yeah, like in Sonic 2 8-Bit.
13:47But he wouldn't have complained about this if it was a thing,
13:50because he'd want to look strong.
13:53The narration lampshades that he had no idea which way he was supposed to be running,
13:57and explains that he just thought he had to run somewhere.
14:00I like the self-awareness about his writing here,
14:03because it does result in a proper excuse for it.
14:07Sonic sees a green light in the sky.
14:09How convenient that he just happened to run in the right direction to see it so fast.
14:15Sonic runs through mud,
14:17and the narration says he's trying to ignore the shocking state of his trainers
14:21as he pauses to look around.
14:24That's how you do making him care about the condition of his shoes out of ego, right?
14:29You could say Sonic was just like in the games here,
14:32and nothing would prove you wrong,
14:34because he doesn't demote in the levels,
14:36and he isn't taking any action because of this.
14:39This is from the writer thinking about what him being cocky in the games would mean,
14:44because he cared enough about trying to be a good writer
14:47to want to expand on him to have a deeper character,
14:50because he knows a protagonist deserves that.
14:53Sonic follows the light into a cave
14:55when he hears something making a humming pulsing noise.
14:59He has to feel his way along the wall.
15:02It finally has the light get painful in his eyes,
15:05and he can't find anything in the middle of it.
15:08A hand touches his shoulder,
15:10and he turns around and sees a spiky shape like himself,
15:14who introduces himself as Eric.
15:16He has dark spines,
15:18but his nose is much longer and more pointed,
15:20and he has a long tongue.
15:22Sonic's ego keeps him from thinking this guy was anywhere near as cool as him.
15:27The narration calls Eric an echidna,
15:30and Sonic asks to take a look at his right foot.
15:34Eric tries too hard to talk in slang,
15:37and kicks him in the midriff,
15:39and Sonic just barely has enough time to recognize the copyright symbol on it.
15:44I guess it makes sense that Sonic would only have reaction time at the speed of sound
15:48if he's already moving fast,
15:51and that's why he didn't dodge it in time.
15:54He gets sucked into the vacuum in space and time,
15:57and the story wastes time establishing that Eggman saw this
16:00because Eric was working for him.
16:03That was a brilliant plan of his.
16:06Get rid of Sonic with a method that only needs one attack,
16:10and it would work because he didn't expect it.
16:13Eggman says he's ready to take his proper place once more as the ruler of the world.
16:18This means that this book thinks he was ruling the world at one point in the past,
16:23like in Sonic 1.
16:24So that's impressive,
16:26and nothing in the game contradicts that.
16:29Sonic keeps falling into a grey void,
16:32and loses track of time,
16:33and somehow can't tell if he's even moving at all.
16:36Then he's not falling.
16:38He's also aware that he's not breathing,
16:41but doesn't feel like he needs to.
16:43Which means he's just a spirit.
16:47After he gets used to it,
16:48he realizes that it's not as bad as it could be,
16:51and relaxes.
16:52He remembers what happened in Green Hill Zone recently
16:55to try to figure out how to get out of this,
16:58and remembers tripping on that metal thing.
17:00He feels it in his back pocket,
17:02and finds out it's still there.
17:04What pocket?
17:04He'd only be able to keep it in one of his socks.
17:08Somehow the writer forgot Sonic doesn't wear a jacket or pants like him.
17:13He had to have seen Sonic before.
17:16If he was picturing him as wearing clothes,
17:18then he should have described what he was wearing.
17:21He uses a dial-up button on it,
17:23and nothing happens.
17:25And Sonic assumes Eggman didn't make it,
17:27because he can't see any copyright sign on it.
17:30It's another universe,
17:31and I understand that Eggman puts his copyright over everything because he's arrogant.
17:36But him putting a symbol that looks like his face like in the games
17:39is a totally unique way in-universe of marking that it's his.
17:43So he'd like that even more.
17:45He just hasn't thought of that yet, hopefully.
17:47But I also appreciate that it's a book satirizing people who care about copyright at all
17:53by having Eggman be like that.
17:56Sonic says that Tails had beaten him in a race,
17:59and says he can ignore them because it was going to happen someday.
18:03So he's showing her his specs Tails a lot,
18:06and isn't as arrogant as the X.
18:09He doesn't mention that he only lost the race because it gave him a head start,
18:13because he doesn't mind losing to him.
18:15I'm glad Sonic lampshaded that only him and Tails knew that things were changing,
18:20and uses that to rule out a possible explanation for people's memories changing.
18:25At least Tails not being with Sonic on this adventure means that there's nothing wrong with Sonic having ideas.
18:31Somehow, Sonic wonders if he really does have a bad memory,
18:35or if two different timelines mix together.
18:38A red light appears ahead of him,
18:40and starts zooming towards him at high speed.
18:43He rolls into a ball,
18:45and the circle of light meets him,
18:47and there's a sucking pop,
18:48and it gets flung out of the nothingness.
18:51It sure would be lame if it was never explained.
18:54Then I'd have to assume that the void was just that magical.
18:58He bounces twice,
18:59and rolls a little,
19:00and his lungs feel like they're burning up.
19:02So he breathes and stands up in a white hall with neon lights with doors and other halls connected to it.
19:10Bits of metal and burnt plastic sit on a big dark smudge,
19:14and Sonic hears a noise from one of the other halls,
19:17and hides in a doorway to watch a bunch of people in black uniforms and black helmets with silver faceplates walk by holding guns.
19:25And Sonic wonders why Snake has arms and legs.
19:29It better be explained why Sonic was sent out of the void,
19:32because Knuckles isn't right beside him, so he didn't save him.
19:35In fact, this is before Knuckles.
19:37He says to one of his buddies to tell HQ that a sector with a boring name is clear of invaders.
19:44There's a lot of padding at first.
19:46Why did he think he needed to tell someone something that he already knows?
19:51Sonic can't quite see what's going on,
19:53when he should know there's nothing to see.
19:56So the writer forces him to lean further out of the doorway so he can get spotted and called intruder.
20:02And has to go back into the doorway to avoid a black beam that explodes with a flash,
20:07and plunges that place into darkness,
20:10showering it with broken plastic.
20:12Sonic runs away, and more beams explode around him,
20:16blasting concrete out of the walls.
20:18He hears the Snake call his co-workers idiots for firing,
20:22because he assumes Sonic is one of their advanced troops,
20:25when his co-workers didn't.
20:27So why didn't his co-workers assume that?
20:30So Sonic says he's on their side.
20:33It makes sense that he'd say this so he could get more information about where he is,
20:36and potentially selling that info could make him capable of returning things to normal.
20:41So it's a perfectly in-character lie,
20:44since he's supposed to be cool,
20:45and him being too stupid to say this would be uncool.
20:49The leader doesn't tell his soldiers to stop pointing their weapons at Sonic,
20:54even though he thought he was on their side.
20:56And that's just reckless.
20:57The leader says he's never seen anyone that looks like Sonic before.
21:03All of Sonic's lying ends up being a waste of time,
21:06because him asking what he's supposed to do with a flat circle of black plastic,
21:10caused them to figure him out,
21:12and trick him into putting on a uniform that the leader after could tell to restrain him.
21:17That was a clever and creative new thing.
21:19But it should have just had them lie that they believe him right away,
21:23and give him the uniform and restrain him instantly.
21:27All of those words after he lied were for nothing.
21:30He's told he'll be taken to be tortured for information about why he's here,
21:34and what he knows about the organizers.
21:36The snake lampsheets that they've wasted enough time with Sonic already.
21:42The soldiers take off instead of picking him up and carrying him away,
21:46and the story wastes a bunch of my time on him struggling to move.
21:50He's smart enough to be polite when he hears a voice from above him telling him not to move,
21:55and a gun conking,
21:57even though he felt like being rude.
21:59The voice sounded familiar, and he says he can't move,
22:03which that person should have known.
22:05The person says that's a downer, even though he was just antagonistic to him.
22:09It turns out to be Tails,
22:11who says Carrie threw him in a circle of grey stuff,
22:14and he landed on some creature dressed like Sonic with a gun and horn.
22:19He uses the word creature, despite that person's ability to use a gun.
22:23That's pretty racist.
22:25He also calls him an It.
22:27He says he got the gun from him, and conveniently found Sonic.
22:30Somehow, Tails has already forgotten that Sonic can't move.
22:36Tails asks Sonic why he didn't see his suit unrestrained,
22:40even though he should have already assumed Sonic tried that,
22:43because neither of them are supposed to be idiots.
22:46And just because he says that, he accidentally causes the suit to free Sonic.
22:50Somehow, the suit's wanting to obey anyone,
22:53except the person wearing it,
22:55instead of just the soldiers.
22:57It would have been better if Tails had intentionally freed him
23:00because he infiltrated the soldiers' group.
23:03Then it would have been cool.
23:05The uniform returns to being a flat, black circle on the floor again.
23:09I love that the technology is shown to be so advanced that it can be like that.
23:14It's a metamaterial, or nanobots.
23:18Sonic puts a circle in his pocket, presumably it's used as a weapon later.
23:22Again, the writer should have said sock, because of wet pocket.
23:27They run around, and the story gets repetitive needlessly,
23:30instead of instantly skipping to the part where they hear someone cry for help.
23:35Sonic hears the word help a lot,
23:37and even in a dark world like this,
23:39he snarks that the person calling for help has a one-track line.
23:44But since he's a hero,
23:45I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he's suppressing his pity for him to cope with this.
23:50That's relatable.
23:52I'll say that's also why he calls these people helpless chumps
23:55before telling their suit Sonic restrained them.
23:59These people turn out to be humans.
24:00The narration says that Eggman was the only human these two had ever seen before.
24:07It makes sense that the writer would assume this,
24:09when at the time, none of the games had shown any humans besides Eggman.
24:13Again, the two worlds idea is just a neutral one in other continuities,
24:18because there's nothing objectively horrible about it, or amazing.
24:22I prefer there being one world,
24:24because the concept of a world with both humans and Mobian seems as uniquely Sonic as the word Mobian itself.
24:30And I think the idea of a world that's nothing but animal people is far more used in the media making it look lazy,
24:36because it's not going to be someone's original idea.
24:39Just something you saw in other series and copied because it's more believable.
24:43Which is the good thing about this idea.
24:46And the other idea also has a good thing.
24:49So they end up being almost the same quality.
24:52Being a little inferior doesn't make this idea horrible
24:55if you're mature enough to take an adaptation on its own merits.
24:59I'm able to forgive it because I know there was room for interpretation in the games at the time.
25:03Which is the same thing you could say to explain every new idea in the games
25:07that's established as always being a part of the world.
25:10Like the Lost Hex.
25:12That and Sega Japan's the one really to blame for this.
25:16For not making things clear in the games.
25:19Or telling anyone in charge of other canons what they had in mind.
25:23I really hate that Tails instinctively aims the gun at the humans because they remind him of Eggman.
25:28Though it can at least be excused because he's just a kid.
25:31So he would be childish enough to assume that every human is of the industrialist's mind
25:36and would sympathize with Eggman for being another human.
25:39And it would make sense that Eggman would have brought his own people to Mobius
25:43so they could dominate the Mobius on his behalf.
25:46At least the story tries to make up for the shockingly dark out of character moment
25:49by having Tails say he's the Pac-Man with his gun.
25:53So that Sonic can correct them.
25:55And arbitrarily say that he's not a good marksman based on no evidence.
25:59I said he was great at it because he came to Sonic's rescue after a time skip.
26:05Somehow, these two humans are cowering against the wall.
26:09Even though Sonic and Tails had saved them.
26:12Why did one of them get codenamed Agent Orange by the writer?
26:16What was he thinking?
26:18That's naming him after a bioweapon.
26:20So I don't even want to look up if it was the thing before this book.
26:25One of them carelessly reveals that they're organizers by telling his friend they'd kill them if they knew they were.
26:31At a time like this, where he's already not trusted,
26:34Sonic snarks that they don't look so tough.
26:37He's saying what I've been thinking.
26:39But for him to say that out loud?
26:42That's not Sonic.
26:43I hate this enough that I have to remind myself why this was written.
26:47That Sonic has an attitude and is cocky.
26:50The humans who still weren't described appearance-wise are from the science division.
26:56Sonic asks them how to get back to Green Hill Zone,
26:59even though he should remember that Eggman changed it to Brown Hill Zone.
27:03And then he says Planet Mobius because he forgot that fact.
27:06And assumed he's in another world entirely as a result of forgetting about that and being faced with humans.
27:11They're acknowledged as dimensional travelers.
27:16Surprisingly, the humans stop being afraid of them right away because of this.
27:21And Agent Gray, who's a girl, says they came here from the scenic route,
27:25as if they'd seen dimensional travelers before.
27:29Orange starts telling Sonic stuff that he's already told other people.
27:33The fourth dimension is supposedly a scenic resort that's the home of the organizers,
27:37whose job is to police the time streams in other universes to make sure that reality is unaltered.
27:44They haven't done a good job this time, so what the hell?
27:48And making sure the laws of physics remain unbroken.
27:51Even though magical powers are constantly used in Sonic,
27:55this bullshit line should be here.
27:57So how did they not stop Eggman from altering the past?
28:00The only way they could police the time streams would be with constant surveillance everywhere.
28:07But clearly they aren't capable of supervising everywhere then.
28:11These are the Zone Cops.
28:13The first appearance of the Zone Cops as an idea was years after this book came out.
28:19They also fight against tyranny and the destruction of life.
28:21But they didn't stop Eggman from taking over the world.
28:25So they can only do so much.
28:28They have a cool idea, but seem incompetent because they never helped Sonic.
28:33They weren't able to keep up what they usually do anymore after the Mythos creatures invaded.
28:39Their job is to make sure nothing gets changed about the past.
28:43So if anyone tried to keep Eggman from becoming a threat with time travel,
28:47these assholes would be against that.
28:49With an explanation as simplistic as the ad about what going wrong with history is,
28:55why should I believe anything else?
28:57They're just lucky Sonic and Tails aren't glaring at them
29:00because they're too busy trying to absorb this exposition dump.
