NSW beef and dairy farmers travelled from across the state to press their case for virtual fencing.

00:00Half my property is in Queensland, half of it's in New South Wales.
00:03I've got an invisible line through the middle being the state border.
00:06I can have cattle on the Queensland side, which is legal.
00:09If they walk across the river, I'm breaking the law.
00:12So I have a bit of an interest there in trying to get this onto my farm
00:17and into my operations so I can make this all work.
00:20We'd like the government to change the regulations to improve our farming system.
00:24Virtual fencing will change our system enormously
00:26and increase efficiencies in terms of moving stock,
00:31in terms of grazing and in terms of the overall efficiency of our business.
00:37Virtual fencing has a huge potential
00:39to massively increase productivity improvements
00:42because a lot of things that are mundane
00:44and little jobs that you don't necessarily need to do we can eliminate
00:48and it's also got OH&S benefits as well.
00:51So from a productivity point of view,
00:53there's massive improvements that can be made on farm.
00:56And we don't want to tell you about it.
