00:00We've seen record gross value production numbers. We're headed for more this year on our watch but
00:06there's a lot more work to do. What I've tried to show people today is we set out with a
00:11plan
00:12and each year that I've been here I've given people updates on how we're delivering on what
00:15we said we were going to do to help ag, how we're investing to get there. We're doing exactly what
00:21we said we would and I want to continue that work working with farmers to be successful into the
00:27future and I hope people can see that we're going to deliver what we've told people will deliver and
00:32keep working directly with the sector to make sure it can be successful. I'm here to build trust and
00:38understanding. I'm here so they know that my door is always open, get to know me a bit better, know
00:43that I'm very interested that I'm using every opportunity to get out of out of Sydney and into
00:48their communities so that I'm fully understanding the challenges but also the opportunities. It's
00:57how is government going to help the farmers? It's actually the other way around. It's how can we
01:01enable them to be more productive and one of the biggest industries in our state, you know, industry
01:07that we rely on for the meals on our tables in Sydney, for the clothes on our back. So it's
01:13in
01:14our interests, it is in our interests to support regional communities and agricultural businesses
01:21across our state. There's a lot of untapped potential, a lot of challenges that can be unwound and we're
01:27up for that. It's my opinion that farming is one of the most noblest professions that we have.
01:32It's far more sophisticated than a lot of people would ever give it credit for and modern farming
01:37these days, it's a scientific enterprise and, you know, farmers just want to be supported by their
01:44government and they want the conditions to be right for them to grow the food and grow the fibre
01:49that feeds us and clothes us every single day.
