00:00$46,000 over at Duny-Bagawa. Well done at $46,000. Done. $46,000.
00:05Hello, it's Niamh Duff from Queensland Country Life and I'm here with...
00:09Ed Bradley from Hazelden and Angus.
00:11Yeah, and the sales just wrapped up here in Gillum today. And how are you feeling, Ed?
00:14Very pleased, thank you. Yeah, we've had a good day out.
00:18Sold most of the bulls and got a good special bull lot nine away to a bull breeding herd at
00:23CPC.
00:23So we're very thrilled about it.
00:25Yeah, definitely. And what do you think stood out about him to those top price buyers?
00:28Oh, look, he's a keeper bull that we would have normally kept at home,
00:32but we thought we'd let him out of the keeper pen and bring him up here.
00:36They only got here on a truck a few days ago, so the bulls of good constitution travelled well.
00:42He's extremely sound, pretty leading for quite a few EBVs.
00:48Growth's a real highlight and he's a cracking type of bull.
00:52Very easy on the eye and should have good longevity. He'll do a good job.
00:56It's a very good buying bench here and Queensland's always been an excellent ground for Hazelden bulls.
01:02And I think it's the 36th year we're bringing bulls up here and we really enjoy doing it and it's
01:09nice to be supported.
01:10We had a real spread on those buyers, like from western to central New South Wales, across the tablelands,
01:15a lot out of Armidale today, right as far as Mount Garnet and north Queensland.
01:19So I think that underpins the Hazelden product and they stand behind their cattle 100%.
01:26I think it underpins that Hazelden have been in the bull breeding Angus grain for quite some time.
01:32So they've stood the test of time and I think that's been reflected in their repeat buying clientele
01:38and a lot of commercial producers on hand here today.
01:42Bye-bye.
