00:00In case you missed them, here's a brief round-up of three recent planning applications in Leeds City Centre, Holbeck and Headingley.
00:07And first up, this historic City Centre building could be brought back into use as a coffee shop, after it was vacated by Starbucks in May.
00:16Blank Street Coffee is seeking planning permission to convert the Grade 2 listed 48 Albion Street into its new premises.
00:23A heritage report said the proposal has a minimal negative impact on the existing building, contributing positively to its heritage significance.
00:33The site, also known as Moreland's House, was constructed in 1855 and was used as offices by the Yorkshire Assurance Company.
00:42Leeds City Council's planning authority is expected to make a decision on the plans by Wednesday 3rd September, with an online public consultation ongoing.
00:51Next, office blocks and hundreds of flats could be built on this former banking site, after plans were approved by the Council.
00:58Permission was sought to redevelop part of Water Lane in Holbeck, previously occupied by Lloyd's Banking Group.
01:05Two office blocks of 11 and 9 storeys have been given the go-ahead, both with ground-floor retail space, which could be used for bars and restaurants.
01:13Developer Southside Leeds Limited also proposed up to 600 apartments and a hotel, under longer-term plans for the site.
01:22Existing buildings would be demolished to make way for the scheme near Bridgewater Place.
01:27And finally, the three-storey Esker House on Cardigan Road in Headingley is set to be converted into 12 apartments.
01:33The building had been used as an office space for more than 50 years, and a planning officer's report said the introduction of further residential properties is considered to complement the balance of existing uses nearby.
