00:00Here's today's Derbyshire Times video bulletin.
00:03A plan to build a drive-thru coffee shop and two commercial units is being held as a pioneering project
00:08that could unlock the potential of Chesterfield's run-down Walton Works.
00:13An application seeking planning consent for land between 338 Chatsworth Road and Mill Lane
00:19has been submitted to Chesterfield Borough Council by Peppermint Grove Ltd.
00:23The proposal includes a new Starbucks coffee shop located directly in front of the Grade 2 listed Walton Works.
00:30The current tap house pub would be retained and a derelict building adjacent to the pub
00:35would be demolished to make space for the commercial units.
00:38A statement in support of the application said,
00:41The site has the capacity to serve as a catalyst for the future regeneration of the mill complex.
00:46A key opportunity lies in opening up and framing new views towards Walton Works,
00:52strengthening its visual presence and reinforcing its historic significance within the townscape.
01:00A gobsmacked Derbyshire mum is on cloud nine after landing half a million pounds on the People's Postcode Lottery.
01:07Catherine Heathcote, 61, says she feels like the luckiest person ever
01:11after bagging the lion's share of £1 million prize with three winning tickets.
01:16Now the mum of four will splash out on a family holiday to Texas in the USA,
01:20a new ensuite bathroom, and says she's also lining up a trip to Australia and Singapore.
01:25Catherine from Taddington said,
01:28It was such a shock. One cheque was nice, but three was amazing.
01:32I feel like I'm the luckiest person ever.
01:35I've seen the Postcode Lottery ads on television and thought about signing up,
01:38but when the leaflet came through my door, I took it as a sign it was my time to play.
01:43She and three other neighbours in the Peak District Village
01:45share the lottery's weekly £1 million street prize when their postcode was announced as the winner on Saturday.
01:51Each winning ticket was worth £166,000, but Catherine troubled her win by holding three tickets.
02:01Wow, thank you.
02:03I feel like the luckiest person ever, you know.
02:13One was nice. Well, three was amazing.
02:16It means I can treat my children, take them on a holiday.
02:20We like country music.
02:21We've never been to Texas, and I'd like to go to Texas, I think.
02:25It's nice for anyone who wins the Postcode Lottery, it's nice,
02:28but it's nice to know some of my neighbours are going to win too.
02:30I'd like everyone else to be as lucky as me.
02:33I think all the village was so surprised to see all the people in red as well.
02:36Thank you so much.
