00:03Controversial plans have been passed to redevelop a former social club building into apartments in a Derbyshire village.
00:09Parking concerns have failed to stop Bolsover District Council's planning committee from giving the go-ahead to the proposal for new middle club on Welbeck Street in Whitwell.
00:18The plan, by Simpatico Properties, is to create seven one-bedroom units and two two-bedroom apartments in the building.
00:25There would be ten off-road parking spaces.
00:28Whitwell Parish Council had urged that the application be called in by the council's planning committee, citing inadequate parking provision and the impact on surrounding residents.
00:39Derbyshire Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery which left a man with neck injuries.
00:44The incident happened when a man was approached by another man on Beckett Welling close to Valiant Live in Derby at around 10.45am on Thursday 2nd October.
00:53The suspect assaulted the victim and demanded that he hand over his phone.
00:57A struggle ensued and the victim, a man aged in his 40s, sustained a neck injury before managing to leave the scene.
01:04A man has been arrested with the incident.
01:06Police describe the suspect as a man in his 20s with a beard who is wearing a black beanie hat, black pufferjack with goggles in the hood, black leggings and a bag over his shoulder.
01:16Officers say they have been making extensive enquiries and are now turned to the public's help for information.
01:20They would like any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact Derbyshire Police.
01:27Police are the first a man after this in a couple years.
