Ye Dolphin at Robin Hood's Bay had been taken over by Dave Brown and the community have rallied around to help get it renovated so it can reopen after is has been closed for five years.

00:30My name's Dave Brown, myself and my wife Helen have just bought the Dolphin Pub.

00:41It's been closed for about five and a half years since Covid.

00:45It's a bit of a work in progress but we're sort of with a band of volunteers in the community

00:50just getting it back up and running again.

00:52So we've had it about three weeks and we're hoping ideally we can get at least part of

00:58the pub open by Christmas, that's what we're aiming for, rest of the pub in early 2026

01:03so that's what we're aiming for, whether it'll happen or not we'll have to watch it.
