00:03Derbyshire Police have hit out after scrambling armed officers and the Air Ambulance Service
00:08to an incident that turned out to be a hoax call.
00:11The force received a 999 call at 7.10pm last night,
00:15reporting that somebody was seriously injured on Normanton Park in Derby.
00:19Firearms officers were deployed, along with the East Midlands Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance Service.
00:25However, on arrival, it was established that the call was a hoax.
00:28A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said,
00:31This type of call is a waste of police and other emergency services' time.

00:43Derbyshire Police have asked anyone with information about the hoax caller to contact them.
