00:14:37likable norris looking relaxed self-assured he has fought in the shadow of his younger brother terry
00:14:43much of his career but in his prime a terrific cruiserweight former champion he wanted this fight
00:14:4810 years ago in a matchup that probably would have taken on buster douglas type odds against him that
00:14:53was clearly a different mike tyson yet tonight norris's biggest stage and payday 800 000
00:15:01his previous high 250 000. part of the first will help pay for his father's medical bills orlin
00:15:07senior also his long-time trainer diagnosed in february with leukemia now in remission orlin norris

00:23:50came back from a knockdown to beat john john molina both of these fighters showing they got a little
00:23:55pop in their system and they can punch a little bit and also getting good respect from each other
00:23:59this should be a good one main thing you see oh nice right hand beautiful straight right hand
00:24:06followed up by a combination flurry by the champion so you see both of them crisp punching strong
00:24:12punching you know they're just not laying around they're really popping as big and tall as corrales is
00:24:17as long as his reach is he doesn't really like to work from the outside he doesn't really like to
00:24:21move move away he likes to come forward if he comes forward all night long garcia's going to be
00:24:26for a long night i'd like to ask your question where's his jab he hadn't thrown that thing yet
00:24:30look as tall as he is and the height he's got and the reach why hadn't thrown that yet
00:24:36right now i think the strength factor for garcia is pretty good in it
00:24:40he's gauging corrales engaging waiting on the punches block him to fire back he's counter-punching

00:25:11but against garcia he said we'll see uppercuts and left hooks to the chin you know right now he's not
00:25:16really working any of the uppercuts on the inside the left hook to the body is working for garcia
00:25:20in the straight right hand too i think right now maybe all the moment for paralysis got to a little
00:25:26bit but he's throwing punch i see a mystery with that big left up as we head for the bell in the opening round

00:27:24storm there's a cut starting to bleed and it's the same cut that we saw under his right eye in the meeting
00:27:31yesterday you know it's funny sometimes a champion would like to let a challenge you know okay welcome
00:27:39to the big time i'm gonna put you in your place and let you know you're in for a real fight and back
00:27:44comes corrales with a combination to the head that got the attention of garcia corral is starting to go
00:27:52to the attack now he's starting to get it together oh he nearly staggered it may have been a slip but
00:28:01i think a punch got in also it was a nice right hand under the heart kind of kind of takes your
00:28:05legs out it's a good good hard body shot it buckled garcia momentarily and garcia comes rifling right
00:28:11back with the left right combination now corrales is doing his fight now he's getting into it maybe
00:28:17he needed a little wake-up call oh he got it and garcia continues to pour it off garcia's having a lot
00:28:25of success with the left hook underneath and to the chin
00:28:27he's going to win furious action here in round two as we approach the final minute
00:28:34there's a left hook that connected by corrales still no real uppercuts on the inside from corrales
00:28:39just a couple of tokens he threw a little bit of a perfunctory uppercut at him there's nothing real
00:28:45he's getting beat this round but he's doing much better than he did the first round he's going after
00:28:49his corral he's wide awake now 82 percent of corrales his fights have ended inside of six rounds

00:29:02and i tell you what corrales has some chin great left hook on the jaw of garcia he hit garcia with a good
00:29:07shot he got the champion's attention but back comes corrales corrales giving as good as he's getting you
00:29:14whoa look at that right hand right hand by garcia right on the button and did not move it has been
00:29:21nearly non-stop action big right hand there by garcia the champion in the lavender trunks missing and
00:29:28almost paid for it and a powerful straight right by garcia just before the pen this is everything we
00:29:38expected and more yes this is good

00:30:25later some nice combinations by corrales champion comes in he gets right uppercut in there there's
00:30:30another one a couple of hooks not all the shots were clean but it was a nice combination he won that
00:30:36transaction round three the champion garcia sent the tone of an exciting round two with a series of left
00:30:42hooks at the twenty second mark but the end of gratis came back with several solid shots of his
00:30:48zone garcia working beautifully that second round but corrales came back nice too almost even
00:30:55that round up that was a blazing round miguel diaz lecturing corrales to the corner left hook right to
00:31:02the jaw by garcia who really opens it up left and rights all over the challenger garcia started
00:31:08up going right hands to the jaw left hook to the body right hand to the head left to the body then
00:31:13he switched it through the right hand to the body hooked up top and he really hurt and confused the
00:31:17challenger garcia displaying tremendous hand speed
00:31:23and desire boy he's just he's just filled with desire to get this guy out of here
00:31:27back comes corrales but it's garcia doing most of the damage no knockdowns yet but a cut was
00:31:36sort of reopened under corrales's right eye and round two reopened from training before the fight begins
00:31:42very confident roberto garcia from oxnard california now boxing war dancing around finding the openings
00:31:56and scoring almost at will well he said he trained when paul dies i believe he's got the answer right
00:32:05here well i'll tell you his timing seems to be good if his conditioning holds up this is going to be a

00:32:57he's trying to get the distance with a short hook on the inside again not fighting at a big distance
00:33:06not fighting beautiful right hand there by corral he's starting to get the timing he's starting to
00:33:10gauge the champion's moves the blood is outside the right eye of the champion garcia doesn't seem to be
00:33:16getting into the eye you can see it streaking down the side of his face now and corrales is doing a
00:33:22number on garcia's head and he's coming forth with straight rights and lefts as well and uppercuts
00:33:29he's got the champion a little bit dazed right now the tide has just turned a little bit steep
00:33:33momentum has just made it real about face quite an ebb and flow to this championship fight here in the
00:33:40the final seconds of round three tremendous action

00:36:23and these shots have to be taking their toll good stuff that they're moving by corrales
00:36:30bros needs to tie garcia up here a spin out he does not need to stay in there his big long arms
00:36:34cannot be as effective as a shorter man when they're that close and the blood is starting to
00:36:39bother garcia he's wiping it off it is getting in his eye four inch reach advantage from corrales
00:36:44and the camouflage he's trying to land uppercuts to the chin corrales

00:40:19Garcia has a good chin too if garcia leaves him alone corrales will attack with a variety it's when
00:40:26he's on top of that he is winning these rounds bobby when you fought did you like to fight taller

00:40:36some on my way but when i did it was sometimes a little more awkward because i was used to punching

00:40:48five and corrales having a lot of trouble with his eye he's winking a lot he's blinking him he's having
00:40:54a lot of trouble a little hesitation right hand punch there by corrales but it didn't fake out to

00:41:08and of course he seems to have taken the round off

00:43:59he's got him hurt he's got garcia remember garcia's never lost he's the champion it's his third defense
00:44:05he has he has been down three times though and he's come back to win all three and remember that
00:44:10both these guys have explosive ko power their percentage is awesome these are guys used to
00:44:16knocking on people
00:44:23the legs are not under garcia properly he has he is in trouble he has some problems garcia
00:44:28has problems he's in trouble now he stopped hitting back now he comes back boy is he courageous
00:44:36he's in a lot of trouble he still hasn't got his legs under he's got he's got his balance one good shot to
00:44:40put this guy down there he goes he's down for the fourth time in his career here in round six against
00:44:48six seven eight the bloody face of the champion garcia he says i'll continue he is hard remember these are
00:44:58these are knockout artists they know how to knock out corrales going in for the finish
00:45:04garcia stumbles garcia's in all kinds of trouble he's in trouble steam his legs are not under and he's
00:45:09not holding on he's trying to fight out of it he's walking in the shot at the shot corrales trying to
00:45:15take the title away here in round six
00:45:19joe cartes watches very closely but he knows what garcia's made of
00:45:24he'll get the better brother now garcia's legs are gone there he goes he just has no legs
00:45:30he's got an awful just courage he goes down for the second time of the round
00:45:36and that's not 10-8 i don't know what 10-8 is

00:46:20the counter punches by corrales have been great there's a nice left hook after the right hand
00:46:30again a right hand and that wasn't a big shot on the tail end but he'd hurt he hurt garcia earlier
00:46:37watch the second knockdown he's been on wobbly legs the champion this right hand really puts him in a
00:46:42bad place the right uppercut and he just goes down because he's that hurt he didn't even need the
00:46:46secondary shot halfway through the ibf junior lightweight championship we could be on the verge
00:46:52of a new champion garcia down twice in the sixth round but keeping by even though he looks very shaky
00:46:58right now he has come back from three previous knockdown quick scores of the half 56 57 diego corrales
00:47:06just went ahead with a 10-8 round and i gave him a 10-7 round and have it the same 57 56
00:47:11left right combination the right really did damage there by corrales let's see if garcia can regroup

00:53:41hard hard combat in the second round i thought that kind of woke you up no because i was i was
00:53:46never hurt at all towards the end of the second round he was left hook and uh i didn't know where
00:53:51it came from i wasn't ready for it i wasn't suspecting at all and he caught me with a clean left
00:53:54left hook and i was like oh whoa and i really got the feeling it woke me up it woke me right up at the
00:54:00the last few rounds you were blinking like mad because your eye you're still blinking right now
00:54:05did you think that was going to be a factor in your fight was it going to close on your body
00:54:09uh i i thought about a little but my thing was i have miguel diaz here the best cutman in the world

00:54:18did you think that he had the capacity to knock you out he hit you with some slamming shot no no i was
00:54:24not going to go down i wasn't gonna i just i couldn't see i the one thing i saw i've been dreaming of all

00:54:47was impossible to deal with that guy because that guy don't know what he's doing well we gotta stop

00:55:37they said andale go ahead and do it and then you went and tried real hard i started getting them
00:55:42pretty good you know i thought i honestly thought i was you know after the first three rounds i thought
00:55:45i was going to get him but like i said you know this is this is the sport of boxing he caught me
00:55:49and there's nothing to say i got to congratulate him and you know i wish him the best did his height pose a
00:55:54problem uh it did uh you know he uh he boxed pretty good he counterpunched real good and that's
00:56:00how he that's how he beat me you know i just like i said you know there's nothing i can say you know
00:56:04he came out better than me today and uh he deserves everything well i i think both of you deserve a
00:56:09rematch in this because this may be the fight of this year this is the candidate for fight of the
00:56:14year so it could be would you find him any differently if you fought him again i got to think about it uh
00:56:19like i said you know i had already said it in my in my in my own heart that uh whenever i lost the
00:56:24fight maybe that'd be my last fight so i got to think about it with my family no no no not as good
