00:00Hello and welcome to this South Australian Janesweather update for Friday.
00:04We have no more of the chilly starts and sunny days, the sour cloud band over us.
00:09It is producing patchy light rain, but nothing more than that, despite the feat of moisture
00:13that's coming in from the Indian Ocean.
00:15We'll keep an eye on that one because that'll do a lot better things for us next week in
00:19terms of rain.
00:20So this is going to move through, there's another cold front end behind it, but both
00:23of these are sliding, so they're running out of moisture, they're running out of instability
00:27and they're not producing much at all.
00:29The big weather system that was in New South Wales is now moving offshore.
00:33OK, so let's have a look at us day by day.
00:35Here we have Friday.
00:37It's really not much as this comes in during the day today and into tomorrow.
00:41There's hardly anything left from that second front as it moves through.
00:44High pressure by the end of Saturday is in through here.
00:47So on Sunday, the highs now add to the east, where in nozzly winds, so conditions really
00:51warm up.
00:52But here's the next weather system.
00:54I'm going to zoom out for a little bit.
00:55Here is a feed of moisture running into low pressure and all of that is heading our way.
01:00Where is the next high pressure system?
01:02It's up here.
01:03It's not down here over Tasmania anymore, so it's no longer in the way.
01:06So this can actually move through.
01:08So let's watch that as it comes in.
01:10There is Sunday.
01:11Let's now move into Monday.
01:13It starts in the west during the day on Monday.
01:15The cold front is up to here by the end of it, just reaching Adelaide by the very end of
01:20the evening.
01:21Let's move into Tuesday.
01:23That has now moved through.
01:24The cold front is here.
01:25There's another one in behind it.
01:27So it's not just one and done.
01:29There are more to come.
01:30In fact, it'll be pretty much every day next week that we see some wet weather from this
01:33one.
01:34So that's Tuesday.
01:35Here we have Wednesday.
01:37You'll notice the next high pressure system all the way back over there.
01:40Yes, it is producing a bit of a ridge over here, but it's well to our north so we
01:44can get all of this rain that is moving through.
01:46There is Wednesday, now into Thursday, now into Friday.
01:50So it just keeps on coming as soon as that arrives in the west on Monday and the east
01:54on Tuesday.
01:55All right, let's have a look at what that's going to add up to.
01:58And it's looking pretty nice.
01:59As we move through here, anything yellow is 25 to 50 millimetres.
02:02That includes these parts in through here and down in the southeast corner.
02:07As you head inland, 15 to 25, 10 to 15, and then 5 to 10 as you move right into the north
02:12there.
02:12So some nice falls at this one as it comes through.
02:15But yes, as usual, it will decrease as you head away from that coastline.
02:19That is pretty much from Monday into Tuesday onwards.
02:22There's not much as we move through Friday and Saturday.
02:24So what does that mean for Adelaide?
02:26We've got partly cloudy conditions today.
02:28There are some very light patchy rain moving through 0.3 of a millimetre.
02:32You'll barely notice it.
02:33You may notice it, but it won't add up too much.
02:36As we move into Saturday, so we've got a 17, 16 here.
02:38Temperatures jump up during the day on Sunday.
02:41It starts off with sunshine, then cloud builds later.
02:44So we've got a cloudy Monday, 21 in through there.
02:46So there's our warm stretch before it really, really changes as that first front moves through.
02:51So it hits Adelaide late on Monday night into Tuesday, 16.
02:56And we've got 13s for the rest of the week.
02:58We've got some nice falls coming through each and every day.
03:01A big burst on Tuesday into Wednesday.
03:03Another big burst on Thursday into Friday.
03:06So all of that should be pretty nice if you are after some rain in South Australia.
03:10As always, head to Farm Online Weather for the latest.
