00:00Hello and welcome to this Western Australian Janesweather update for Monday.
00:04We have a disturbance that is building to the south-west here.
00:07It's got a lot of cold air in behind it, but here is a hot tip.
00:11We're not going to see the major part of that.
00:13It'll be heading over to the south-east for another cold outbreak for them.
00:17Meanwhile, we've got high pressure that is moving in through here,
00:19and we've got some fairly clear skies,
00:21but starting to see a little bit of a tropical moisture feed coming in from the north-west.
00:25So let's take a look at what to expect day by day.
00:28Here we have Monday. Here's the cold air that is to the south-west in through here.
00:32We're missing the brunt of that. It is heading eastwards.
00:36We're just copying the very, very northern part of that today.
00:39So there's Monday. Heading into Tuesday, we're not seeing a lot from that north-western feed just yet.
00:45We've just got the little bit of leftovers here.
00:46There's a large high-pressure ridge that is extending in through here,
00:49but the centre of it isn't strong. It isn't completely out to our east,
00:53so we don't have incredibly warm temperatures for the first week of September anyway.
00:58OK, so there we have Tuesday. Let's now head into Wednesday.
01:01We're starting to see that develop, but again, it's cloud.
01:04It's a little bit of light-wet weather.
01:05It's nothing serious as it moves past at this stage on Wednesday.
01:09It's not reaching the coast or the far south-west.
01:12So there's Wednesday. Now let's have a look at Thursday.
01:15There's that system. It totally missed that western coast,
01:17and also in the south-west corner there.
01:19This was an inland system as it came through, picking up that moisture and coming in.
01:23So not seeing that over here, but we will see the next one.
01:27OK, so there we have Thursday.
01:29It's now heading to Friday.
01:30That's when our next major wet weather arrives in that western corner there.
01:33We've got some cold air that comes in with it as well.
01:36So here we have Friday, 15 to 25 millimetres all through these parts.
01:40Heading into Saturday, there we have even more.
01:43We're not seeing the brunt of the cold air with this one,
01:45not like they're going to see in the south-east,
01:47but we are definitely seeing the wet weather as it comes in,
01:50the potential for some big falls as that moves across.
01:53So there's Saturday into Sunday, starting to move in,
01:56and then by Monday there's hardly anything left,
01:59and not really much there by Tuesday.
02:01So it is later on in the week that we see that one.
02:04It is mainly a Friday into Saturday system as that moves past.
02:09What can we expect from that?
02:10Here's for over the next week through to the end of next Monday.
02:13We'll look at 25 to 50 millimetres all through these parts.
02:17It decreases as you head inland as usual, 15 to 25,
02:20and then 10 to 15 there.
02:22There's that weather system that misses the south-west
02:24and instead moves inland instead, which could bring in some nice falls.
02:28But the potential for 50 to 75 right on that coastal bit there,
02:32just north of Perth.
02:33OK, so speaking of Perth, let's have a look at sunshine.
02:36Top of 18 today.
02:37We're not getting those huge temperatures during the day
02:40because the high pressure isn't completely out to our east,
02:42so we don't have that proper feed of warmer air.
02:45OK, partly cloudy, then sunny for tomorrow, 19,
02:4818 as we head into Wednesday.
02:50So a lovely little stretch in through here.
02:52Bit of cloud from that inland system as it passes by,
02:55but we're not seeing any wet weather from that.
02:57OK, so all these four days, lovely.
02:58It changes dramatically on Friday.
03:0020 millimetres, 19 millimetres, 18,
03:03and then two that is left over.
03:05Showers, tending to rain at times, potential for thunderstorms.
03:08The big part of that is on Friday into Saturday
03:11as temperatures cool off.
03:13And then we've got the remains of that wet weather
03:15moving through on Sunday into Monday.
03:17As always, head to Farm Online Weather for the latest.
