00:01Tonight on the Project Runway All-Stars Reunion Special.
00:05It was just insane. I was shaking through the whole thing.
00:07We're probably gonna talk about each other.
00:09There's always pressure.
00:10Everybody kind of just gasps.
00:14I wanted to cry.
00:15I felt like I didn't have a future.
00:17I certainly need to brush up on my sewing skills.
00:19Wasn't able to create my full vision.
00:21I did feel like it did look like a wedding dress.
00:23I thought I more than earned a second chance.
00:26Oh, my God. Never again.
00:28Was I rude to you at all?
00:29Just because I stopped talking to you doesn't mean that I disrespected you.
00:31That's extremely rude.
00:32I came to All-Stars to win.
00:34Yeah, but you can win with a good garment.
00:36No, I know.
00:37And that's it.
00:38Well, I could say...
00:39But that's it.
00:40But that's it.
00:41Well, everyone.
00:45Hello, everyone.
00:46Welcome to the Project Runway All-Stars Reunion Special.
00:53Everyone is here looking suitably fashionable, I might add.
00:58We've got a great night lined up with lots to talk about.
01:00What really happened on and off the runway.
01:03Some big exclusives to reveal.
01:05And a few surprises up our sleeves as we look back on the biggest All-Stars season ever.
01:10Tonight, we're having a good old-fashioned debate.
01:13I'm going to ask the All-Stars for their honest opinions about each other's work.
01:19So, no holding back, okay?
01:22Let's get straight into it.
01:24This year's season finale took place at the prestigious United Nations Headquarters.
01:29Our finalists were inspired by their own country's heritage.
01:32Here's a reminder of the finale collections created by Elena, Seth Aaron, and Coteau in just four days.
01:39I like the dress.
01:46Come on, heavy band.
01:48The print.
01:49The print.
01:50This one is alright.
02:02It's work to it.
02:08The winner of Project Runway All-Stars is...
02:23Seth Aaron.
02:25Yay!
02:26Congratulations.
02:27Congratulations, Seth Aaron.
02:28Thanks.
02:29As a previous winner, did you have more pressure?
02:32I think you do.
02:33There's a certain level expected out of you to come back and to show them where you're headed.
02:43Every single person here was competition, so I think that's a little more pressure.
02:48Jeffrey, you actually helped Seth Aaron, so what did you think of his collection?
02:52To the best of my ability, yes.
02:54I loved it.
02:57He made a conscious decision to do an elegant, cleaner collection for the finale.
03:02I thought it was smart.
03:03Coteau, what is it like always ending in second place?
03:07I was happy with what I did.
03:09I can't change it.
03:10It just was not in the cards for me.
03:12Everybody kind of just...
03:13It was emotional.
03:14...gasped when Coteau's collection came out, and it was because of his energy that she was bringing to this.
03:19Yeah.
03:20It was just a perfect moment.
03:21Like, it was all great.
03:22But I have my own voice, and it's a very different voice.
03:24A lot of my inspiration does come from home because I didn't have a home for so long.
03:28I couldn't go back.
03:29I was in exile.
03:30So that's how I always get emotional.
03:32And to me, I think I brought that out a little bit.
03:34I can never stop crying when I talk about this story.
03:38But it's like when I went back home and I saw these little girls that have no hope.
03:44You know what I mean?
03:45And they look at me like they're hope.
03:47That was a lot for me to take.
03:49Like, because after a war like that, you think your life is over.
03:53Like, even though I lived on this side of the earth, I felt like I didn't have a future.
03:57Of course.
03:58You know, it was like one person that saw something in me, and that helped, gave me that hope.
04:02You know what I mean?
04:03This one angel that paid for me to go to design school when we were on welfare.
04:06We had nothing.
04:07I'm like the comeback queen.
04:08You know, I fall down so much and I get back up.
04:10That's the good I take from it when I don't win.
04:13You know what I mean?
04:14That's the prize.
04:15And are those the lessons you think you learned personally from being on All Stars?
04:19You have to figure out what's important at this phase in your life.
04:22And, you know, my head wasn't here.
04:24I was at home with my baby girl.
04:26Speaking of babies, do you have some news that you'd like to share?
04:31Literally the day I got home, I popped me a little baby in the oven.
04:34Oh, I love it.
04:36So I'm five and a half months pregnant.
04:39I'm expecting my first boy child in April.
04:42Congratulations.
04:45Elena.
04:47You were the dark horse this season.
04:50She's a beast.
04:52You did such an amazing job.
04:54How was your experience?
04:55Yeah, I came into this season prepared, like, mentally.
05:00You know, the first time around, I didn't know, like, what hit me.
05:04And you were criticized a lot this season about doing the same sort of thing or look.
05:11And how did that affect your process?
05:13That was a good criticism because I didn't notice it, you know?
05:16Right.
05:17So, but immediately after, I feel like I changed.
05:20I'm glad also that Elena went so far this season.
05:23She was actually recognized for her staple pieces that she considers avant-garde and people might not get it.
05:30But this time, they got it.
05:32And I was so happy for her.
05:34Aw, thank you.
05:35It seems like you guys are friends.
05:37Like, truly friends.
05:38So, is it really possible to be friends in a competition type of environment?
05:43Definitely.
05:44One of the reasons we're all friends is because we have an understanding of this process.
05:48Right.
05:49So, one person's gonna win and the rest of us aren't.
05:52Right.
05:53And we're probably gonna talk about each other in the process.
05:55Like, that's just a part of it.
05:56That's the funniest part.
05:57That's the fun part.
05:58That's the fun part.
05:59That's the part.
06:00I'm at home, I'm like, oh really?
06:01You said that, huh?
06:02Especially this one right here.
06:03Christopher, I want to hear about what happened with you and Victor.
06:06I'll tell you what happened.
06:09I take my friends really seriously and I take everyone's opinion seriously.
06:13And if I don't know what happened and you don't talk to me, I'm off.
06:20It's not going to be that way.
06:21Let's get a little look at what you're talking about.
06:23Right.
06:24In the middle of the season, Christopher and Victor's friendship took a different turn
06:27when they were paired up for our Bonnie and Clyde challenge.
06:30Let's take a look.
06:31You'll be working in pairs to create an updated 30s look, Christopher.
06:35I have to go with Victor.
06:37Yes!
06:38The seam is just not working.
06:40If you're gonna redo it again, do it in Street Green.
06:43Did he know how to build it?
06:45No.
06:46Did Vicky told him how to do it?
06:47Yes.
06:48That is killer.
06:49So fascinating in a new kind of way.
06:52I love every single thing about it.
06:54Victor.
06:55You're the designer with the most experience in menswear.
06:58And you did have an excellent vision, but ultimately you didn't pull it off.
07:03The designer going home tonight is...
07:07Michael.
07:09Oh my God.
07:11You were so distraught.
07:12Did you get beating needles?
07:14Yes, he was in the bottom and I was in the top, but you know, now he's not talking to me
07:27at all.
07:28I helped him so much and I suffered at the end.
07:31That challenge kind of showed me where we stand.
07:34It's weird.
07:35You know, with him upset at me for some reason, it's putting me in a weird state of emotions.
07:41Oh, shade.
07:42All tea, all shade.
07:43All tea, all shade.
07:44All tea, all shade.
07:45Whoa.
07:46Shade.
07:47That's very tense.
07:48Victor, what do you have to say for all that?
07:50I mean, I respect Christopher and from the beginning we got along so well because we're
08:01very much alike.
08:02We're animated.
08:03We're funny.
08:04We clicked.
08:05At that challenge, my garment suffered a little bit just because I was focusing more on the
08:08woman's side.
08:09I wanted to just grab the bull by the horns and, you know, get back in track.
08:14I came to All Stars to win.
08:16Yeah, but you can win with a good garment.
08:19No, I know.
08:20And that's it.
08:21Well, I could say...
08:22But that's it.
08:23I could say...
08:24But that's it.
08:25Well, can I say something?
08:26You can just make a garment.
08:27You don't have to be rude.
08:28Was I rude to you at all?
08:29Just because I stopped talking to you doesn't mean that I disrespected you.
08:30That's extremely rude.
08:31That's so disrespectful.
08:32No, no, no, but I explained it where I was coming from.
08:33You were eliminated.
08:34You didn't talk to me again.
08:35No, actually, that's not true.
08:36You didn't talk to me.
08:37No.
08:38No, Victor.
08:39The both of you were insane.
08:40Can I chime in on this?
08:41I think they're both very sweet and sensitive.
08:44And I ran into them both in the airport earlier.
08:46Super sensitive, that's why.
08:47This one's like, he's not saying hello to me.
08:49This one's like, he's not saying hello to me.
08:50I didn't see them.
08:51They didn't say hello to me.
08:52So they both...
08:53I mean, my true intentions was not to hurt him.
08:56But then I realized that he was getting affected.
08:58So I said, I have to be responsible and apologize to him and tell him why I'm not talking to him.
09:02But I really, really apologize.
09:04I know, I know.
09:05And I apologize, too, for like, freaking out.
09:07All right, hug it out.
09:08Yeah.
09:09Hug, hug, hug.
09:10Stand up and hug.
09:11All right.
09:12You stupid bitch.
09:13That's long enough.
09:17And this wouldn't be Project Runway without one of our famous twists.
09:21Uh-oh.
09:22What?
09:23There's a surprise coming up after the break for one of the all-stars.
09:26All-oh.
09:27What?
09:28Find out who next.
09:31Coming up.
09:32Oh, my God.
09:34I more than earned a second chance.
09:37Oh, my God.
09:38Never again.
09:39Oh, why, why did he make that?
09:41I don't know.
09:42Everyone.
09:44Hi, man.
09:45Welcome back to the Project Runway All-Stars reunion special.
09:50We kicked off this season by stripping the all-stars of their comforts and sending them to mood not only to buy their fabric, but to make their dress there, too.
10:00How was that?
10:01On my bed.
10:02Super cramped.
10:03Banana.
10:04So cramped.
10:05I almost stole a bolt of fabric.
10:07Yeah, right.
10:08So how did the challenges that you guys get really push you in your final designs?
10:14We're kind of trying out things while we're also competing, so that's why a lot of people on TV, they're like, why did he make that?
10:21It's like we were trying to raise the bar, but, you know, sometimes we fell, but we wanted to show them the best.
10:27Melissa, did the challenges push you creatively?
10:30Yeah, I mean, I was really inspired by the Punk Challenge, and I think it was just, again, like I said, time.
10:35I wasn't able to create my full vision.
10:37Well, only one of our designers came to All-Stars without having won any challenges before.
10:42Elena, you had a lot to prove, so let's look back at how you fared on our first challenge, You Got Punk'd.
10:53We are going to be joined by one of the biggest punk rock icons in history, Debbie Harry.
10:59My mom and dad, like, back in the day, he was always like, I love blondie.
11:05I'm really confused.
11:08Okay.
11:09I put my jacket on the model.
11:11It doesn't look like Punk.
11:13Sometimes I'm wearing my shirts backwards.
11:15My model says, you know, sometimes I wear things backwards, and I'm like, oh, .
11:21Let me see.
11:22Oh, my God.
11:24And thank goodness for your model, right?
11:30I think it's fabulous what you've done.
11:32I also love it.
11:33The straight jacket idea is perfect.
11:37I would like to wear Elena's jacket.
11:41Oh, my God.
11:42That was her first crying.
11:45Congratulations, Elena.
11:46You can leave the runway.
11:47Congratulations.
11:48Thank you so much.
11:49Good job.
11:50There's nothing better in life than this.
11:52I can go and tell my dad, your dream for me has come true.
11:57Look, Debbie Harry.
11:59Your icon is wearing my stuff.
12:03Debbie Harry is a huge fan of the show, and that's why she came on.
12:11But, Elena, why was it so important for you to win this challenge?
12:14I grew up listening to her.
12:16So, it was emotional because it ties in with my family.
12:20And at the same time, it's Debbie Harry, you know?
12:23Like, everyone knows her.
12:25So, you're getting the jacket ready for her?
12:28Yes.
12:29I met with her, took her measurements.
12:30It was just insane.
12:31I was shaking through the whole thing.
12:33I was like, I can't believe that.
12:36Well, we have a little surprise for you.
12:38What?
12:39She's on the phone right now.
12:40What?
12:41Oh, my God.
12:42Debbie, can you hear us?
12:44Hello.
12:45Oh, my God.
12:46Hi.
12:47You're sitting here with all the all-stars.
12:50Hi.
12:51Hi.
12:52Hi, Debbie.
12:55What was it about Elena's jacket that you loved?
12:58It sort of brought me back to the very early days of Blondie.
13:03And, um, I just thought, all in all, it was something that I would enjoy wearing.
13:10And, in fact, I will be using it for my big tour that's coming up, my big anniversary tour.
13:18Oh, my God.
13:19That's amazing.
13:20That's major.
13:21That's so awesome, Debbie.
13:23I think I speak for all of them when I say that we love you.
13:27Yes.
13:28And thank you so much for being a part of the show.
13:30And good luck on your tour.
13:32Thank you so much, Debbie.
13:33Take care.
13:34That'd be great.
13:35That'd be great.
13:36How cool is that?
13:37Debbie Harry on the phone.
13:39Elena kicked off a run of big wins that gave all our stars some great exposure.
13:44As well as winning the whole season, Seth Aaron also won the business challenge with fashion label Millie.
13:50Seth Aaron, what was it like winning that challenge?
13:52I'm really excited to win it because, you know, this is going to be manufactured and sold as part of her new collection.
13:59And all the money goes to save the garment district.
14:02That's great.
14:03Another previous winner of Project Runway is, of course, Jeffrey.
14:08Hi, Jeffrey.
14:09Hello.
14:10You had a lot of ups and downs.
14:12Indeed.
14:13On All Stars.
14:14Yes.
14:15But sticking with the winning streak for a second, let's remind ourselves what happened when Bonnie and Clyde hit the runway for our 1930s couples challenge.
14:27Bonnie and Clyde are two of the most notorious outlaws in history.
14:31You'll be working in pairs to create an updated 30s look.
14:35One designer will create the male look and one will create the female look.
14:39I've been wanting to do some men's wear.
14:41Women's wear hasn't been too kind to me lately.
14:43I'm stoked.
14:44Bless you.
14:45How are you doing, Jeffrey?
14:46Pretty good.
14:47I'm kind of having fun.
14:48I have this long military top coat that I'm doing.
14:50I'm doing a very clean closure with magnets.
14:53Turn around for me.
14:55All right.
14:56All right.
14:57Yeah.
14:58This guy looks like he's just a brute.
15:00A pretty brute.
15:01Oh, my God.
15:03The coat is really great.
15:06I love it.
15:07Out of all the men, I like that look the best.
15:10This week's winning designer is Jeffrey.
15:19Finally got a win.
15:20It fills me with such joy and gratitude.
15:22It's crazy.
15:23Tell us about the prize of that challenge.
15:28Oh, the prize is awesome.
15:30I've gotten to be a costume designer for a Lifetime movie, Flowers in the Attic.
15:34That's so great.
15:35Yeah, it's awesome.
15:36And I've done a gown for Heather Graham to wear and the sort of pivotal scene in the movie.
15:41We actually have some stills of you fitting that gown.
15:43Oh, cool, cool.
15:44So let's take a look.
15:45Awesome.
15:46I love it.
15:47That's like half beer.
15:48Yeah, yeah.
15:49I mean, it's all 50, you know, it's period, so.
15:53Wow.
15:54Oh.
15:55Oh, there it is.
15:56It looks great.
15:57Yeah.
15:58She's really good.
15:59Beautiful.
16:00Awesome.
16:01That looks beautiful.
16:02That looks really good, Jeff.
16:05Thanks.
16:06Congratulations, Jeffrey.
16:08And Flowers in the Attic is on this week, so we'll be watching.
16:10Oh, I can't wait.
16:11I gotta watch that.
16:12Another successful win this season gave one of our all-stars the chance to sell directly
16:16to the public as soon as the challenge aired.
16:19Who was that lucky designer?
16:21Crybaby number two.
16:24Cato, yes.
16:26This was our QVC challenge.
16:29Let's take a look at how it all began.
16:30I'm Lisa Robertson.
16:32You will be designing a gown that will be worn by me in L.A.
16:38I've definitely done a few red carpet looks.
16:40I want to figure out how I can accentuate her features and just make her love what I make.
16:44I need sunglasses on.
16:45I know.
16:46Right.
16:47I feel like it looks a bit cheap.
16:49Really?
16:50Now I'm thinking either ditch this mess or keep going and have a sinking ship.
16:55I think she's making the smart choice in listening to Xana and restructuring a more simple design.
17:01I love this dress.
17:02Looks like it comes from a really important collection this season.
17:03Mm-hmm.
17:04That is definitely a gown that we could sell to our QVC customers.
17:06And the winning designer is Cato.
17:07Looking forward to wearing the dress.
17:08Thank you so much.
17:09I needed this lamp.
17:10So this was a tricky challenge though because not only did you have to design a red carpet
17:15dress but also a dress that was suitable for the masses and be sold on QVC.
17:19As a designer you want to be able to go on the QVC and sell your stuff and know that you have selling power and for them to want to sell your stuff I think it's amazing.
17:20We actually have some pictures.
17:21Good experience.
17:22Good experience.
17:23Good experience.
17:24Get it girl.
17:25What did QVC do with the design?
17:30We actually decided to do it in two colors not everybody's trying to produce, but there are those
17:42things that are happening in the world.
17:44We actually have some pictures.
17:45We have new people.
17:46I got a quick place here.
17:47And I didn't know why you wanted them to do it.
17:50And you know what you need to do instead?
17:51design. We actually decided to do it in two colors not everybody has a love for
17:55bright colors like me so we did do a navy option for somebody who wants to still
17:59be popping but not that much. It really complements and it's a dress you can
18:03wear all year round. Coteau's dress went on sale the moment the episode aired. I
18:08know it's selling well so congratulations Coteau. There were other
18:11great wins this season. Victor you won the cocktails with a twist challenge.
18:16What was your inspiration? My inspiration was print. I let the fabric speak to me
18:21and I also like to do paneling so you know I wanted something different
18:25something new but I do have a surprise for you. For me? Yes! I'm really bad at
18:32surprises like I instantly just felt my upper lip sweating. This is for you. What is this?
18:40I don't know. Oh my goodness. You'll never know. I said I would wear it and here it is oh my god
18:50I'm so excited. Chris Perez said I was gonna wear yours as well. Where's that?
18:58It's a puzzle. You got it. Perfect. Yay! Thank you darling. You're welcome. I'm so excited to wear it. Thank you.
19:07I'll put it away for you. Okay thanks. Sweet boy. I'm taking it. Okay one of the toughest
19:14moments on Project Runway is the elimination and the one everyone dreads
19:18the most is always who goes home first. Well this designer may have left all
19:24stars early but she has made such a huge impression on all of us. All the way
19:30from Hawaii it's Ari South. What's been the reaction from the public about you
19:38coming back? It has been great. Yeah the public has been wonderful. It resonates
19:41with a lot of people who have a lot of questions. It's really opening the door
19:44for a lot of conversations to take place. Do you have a different perspective on
19:48designing now that you're a female designer? Completely. I need to wear a bra.
19:52Amen. I think right because all the men in here will be like that's okay she can wear
19:58pasties. Now I'm like girl I need to be supported and so now it's like I feel so
20:02balanced within myself which it comes out of my work which has been the greatest
20:06thing ever. Like Seth Aaron he said I've met you so many times before but he said
20:12this time I feel like I'm finally meeting you. Right. For real. Like the real you. I think
20:16it's amazing. Yeah it's been so it's it's been a wonderful journey. Well we all support you.
20:22Thank you. Good luck with the business. Daniel. I mean you. I love everybody. You are so loved. Fans love you.
20:32Something has happened since we last saw you right? Oh yeah I had a really bad car
20:37accident. But we do have a couple of shots. Yeah it was pretty bad. Yes. You were in there?
20:45Yes. And I'm by the grace of God I'm very grateful to to be here you know but.
20:51Aww. Did the all-stars rally around you? Yes everybody was phenomenal and I want to say thank you to the fans too.
20:59Well we are all very glad that you're okay. I love y'all. I love you. Much more to come tonight.
21:05I'm gonna grill the all-stars on their best and worst moments this season.
21:08So guys get ready to spill. Ha! Coming up. It's like seaweed that has come out of the swamp.
21:17I wanted to cry. I wasn't drunk. I put in the most work into it.
21:22Wow!
21:27Welcome back to the chaos that is the Project Runway All-Stars reunion. You guys having fun?
21:33Yes! All right. Well let's get down to business. Um we have some all-star stats here.
21:40Uh-oh. You ready? Hit it. Who do you think received the most high scores this season?
21:47Elena. Elena. Elena. Yep. Six times in the top. Wow. Yeah. Uh king of king of low scores?
21:55Jeffrey. I mean I wasn't gonna say anything but four times on the bottom. Wow. Jeffrey are you
22:03ready to relive your mojo not working?
22:05Oh my god. I can't handle this s**t. Being behind the sewing machine after you know so many years
22:12feels a little awkward. Oh s**t. This is harder than season three. I think Jeffrey has definitely
22:22lost his touch. I'm not sure what's going on with Jeffrey. You know he's a different person
22:26from the Jeffrey that you see on his season. We're not gonna see your beautiful face today. I'm sorry.
22:32I'm gonna make a biscuit. Oops.
22:36Look like I could see your pretty. It was hard to judge when I was looking at a naked bottom.
22:43I think that you are having a problem finding who you are at this moment. Her butt in that dress
22:48looks so wrong. I find it to be such a gratuitous kind of slap in the face. No one's ever had the
22:55balls to send something like that down the runway. I would never wear it except maybe the hood in the
23:01bedroom. Avant-garde should not be mistaken for unwearable clothes. I'm never that wild about
23:06jeweled necklines because suddenly it goes a little cheap. My model is two sizes smaller than
23:10my dress form. I never had the right size mannequin. I can't let that become this excuse. I just can't.
23:16No mannequin in the world was gonna say that. The designer going home tonight is Jeffrey. How do you
23:26feel watching that? Well it doesn't feel good to stand up there and to show work that's subpar. Do you
23:32think you felt more pressure or put more pressure on yourself because you were a previous winner? I
23:37honestly got further along than I thought that I would. I mean the first challenge that we had was the
23:41first time I'd sat at a sewing machine in almost six years. Did you get your mojo back? I certainly
23:50need to brush up on my sewing skills. Christopher, what was your most embarrassing moment? I mean I
23:58would have to say standing in front of all of you and defending my my lace trench coat and having Nina
24:05just shoot it down so hard. Let's take a look. This lace in this color it's like seaweed that has come
24:13out of the swamp. Thank you. That's not a compliment. I didn't take it as a compliment. Oh we have her on
24:23the phone. Christopher. What were you feeling inside? Like I've wanted to cry. I'm super sensitive and I
24:34I believed in that look and I still love it. So Nina Garcia she was a great guest judge. Love her. Yeah
24:41she's amazing. Hated that moment. We had some great guests. I mean unbelievable guests. Let's remind
24:47ourselves. Sometimes I judge clothes on whether or not I think Beyonce would wear them. And there's
24:53Beyonce. Please tell me. I mean I don't know but I wouldn't be mad at seeing her in this. I would love
24:57it. Thank you so much. I think you should win this challenge. I'm just gonna put it out there right now.
25:02I don't know if everyone agrees with me but you had a hundred dollars and when this dress came down
25:06the runway she looks like she's wearing something that was thousands of dollars. My first question
25:12is what size is it? And then second is can I have it? Give me your address and it will be coming to you.
25:18I think my wife will look really good in that next to me in a white suit. Yes please. But as a man I
25:23like the zipper in the front because it's easy access. So who else did you guys love as far as
25:35the judges go? Debbie Harry. Debbie Harry. Gabby Sidibe. Yes. Gaboray I think had the best line of the
25:42season. She's hilarious. For me it was Eli Tahari for sure. Yes definitely. I mean he played an
25:47instrumental part in me even changing my life career path years ago and becoming a fashion designer.
25:53You know so to be able to sit there and be judged by him in that moment was such an amazing thing for
25:58me. I personally appreciated every designer judge and I wish there were more. Victor what do you
26:03regret the most? The Bonnie and Clyde challenge. The menswear. I think I rushed too much in the lapel.
26:08Michael what about you? Any regrets? Um actually the same challenge to tailoring. Um just because I
26:14didn't have the time to really execute it like I wanted to. That damn tailoring challenge boy.
26:19Daniel what lessons did you learn? What lessons? I learned some really cool techniques from Melissa
26:25about leather. Hmm. I thought it was really cool and you don't know. I was watching you and it was a
26:31cool thing on that punk challenge just watching you work with that leather. Beautiful. Thank you.
26:36That's a cool thing. What about you Victor? Did you pick up any tips? Yeah I just learned how to
26:40copy Elena and it's easier to copy her designs. Christopher I want to know the proudest moment
26:50you had all season. My proudest moment was actually winning the unconventional challenge.
26:55You know going to the school it was really nice to see that it was a performing arts school where
27:00kids could be who they want and you know I didn't have that. I was bullied for being gay and it was
27:06it was rough. So I wanted to make this armored look you know she's strong she's independent and then she
27:14has the pops of rainbow because it's a celebrating you know yourself. Stand up to bullying. Right. Who's with me?
27:23Despite the pressure we put them under the all-stars did have a good time once in a while. Even when you
27:31only have one day to make a dress you can always find the time to have a little fun. Welcome back
27:38listeners. Oh my god it's starting.
27:40Hi bitches.
27:48I run as fast as I can like the cops are chasing me.
27:54Mira, mira, mira, mira, mira, mira, mira, mira, mira, mira. It's like Project Runway Total Fitness.
28:03I can't see everyone. Look that's what's up. That's what's up. Oh my god I'm gonna puke right now.
28:13I'm gonna puke. Bitch I ain't helping you. Can you see like her private parts?
28:19Her hoo-ha is covered man. Hoo-ha. Babe there's no hoo-ha anywhere around there. Yeah bro.
28:25I am very intrigued by the tiger eyes. Very nice. Just like yours.
28:30Want me to see a taste of the ring Jeffrey? Huh?
28:34All right. All right.
28:36How are you?
28:38Hey man, bring the naughty out of me.
28:42This dress is on the runway.
28:44When we come back we will be joined by another member of the All Stars family
28:51and we've got an exclusive with one of the most talked about appearances of the season.
28:56Don't go away.
29:00Coming up. You have to say something.
29:02I did feel like it did look like a wedding dress.
29:04Stop. I can't handle this.
29:06It's not all star quality. I wasn't drunk.
29:09I put in the most work into it.
29:11Stop.
29:16Welcome back everyone and a special welcome to Marie Claire's senior fashion editor
29:20and our All Stars mentor in the workroom Zanna Roberts Rossi.
29:23That's lovely.
29:24How are you?
29:25I miss you guys.
29:27One of the hardest aspects of being a mentor is not giving too much away about your own opinion,
29:33but we want to find out what you really think. Let's look back at some of the most contentious issues
29:38in the workroom.
29:42Hi designers.
29:44I am expecting really great things from you guys. You're all stars. So it's kind of a lego dress.
29:51I know she wasn't meaning that to be a positive remark.
29:54I can tell you were drunk when you did this.
29:56Aw, I wasn't drunk.
29:58This is going to go over the top of this and cover all this work.
30:00Right.
30:01You have to help me because I'm slightly concerned.
30:04This is neither punk nor fashion forward. Do you know what color is never ever seen on magazine covers?
30:11Greek.
30:11It doesn't sell. People don't like it.
30:13Wow.
30:13I have only green fabric, so.
30:17Why am I seeing a zebra?
30:19Tell me you're not going to do a bumble bee dress.
30:21No. Actually, maybe I am doing a bumble bee dress.
30:25Honestly, what I'm seeing in here is not all star quality. Any of you could go home with what I'm seeing right now.
30:34Damn.
30:36Is that really the house?
30:39When you see something happening in front of you that maybe isn't going down the right track,
30:44um, you have to say something. But such a talented bunch. I mean, my goodness.
30:49So, Xana has some news.
30:53She's actually...
30:54I caught it.
30:57We drank the same water.
30:58Oh my gosh.
31:00This little body is expecting twins.
31:05Look at her.
31:06But for you, obviously, Alyssa, you've been such a fan of the show.
31:09I watched the show, you know, from the very first season and I'm sort of just a dork.
31:15But I do love fashion.
31:16And I tried to sort of be that voice of the woman at home.
31:20Well, that's exactly what came across.
31:22It was a great honor.
31:23So, Michael, you got some good advice from Xana on the avant-garde challenge.
31:27Michael.
31:28Hi, Xana.
31:29This is way too literal. This, to me, is elimination-worthy.
31:34I'm making another dress.
31:36That look went from glow worm to goddess.
31:39You won that challenge.
31:41I did.
31:41And do you credit Xana for sort of influencing the turnaround?
31:45Definitely. No, it was a really green dress.
31:50One more Project Runway winner returned as an all-star to show they weren't really as mean
31:55as everyone remembered. It's season six winner, Irina.
31:58Hi.
31:59Hi.
31:59Hi.
31:59Did you have a lot of pressure returning as an all-star?
32:03There's always pressure. There are days when I love it and there are days when I curse it.
32:08How did you always stay so calm?
32:09I really don't know. I could freak out on the inside, but it doesn't show.
32:13Well, things are going really well for you until the one challenge when things appeared to totally unravel.
32:20Let's take a look.
32:21I'm Lisa Robertson. You will be designing a gown.
32:26It is very important that I can sit in it, stand in it, and move in it.
32:30Couture gown in 10 hours? Okay. What are we doing for this bride-to-be?
32:37Irina created the most beautiful, dramatic wedding dress I have ever seen.
32:45Remove it out of this bridal world.
32:47Yes. It just ripped, you .
32:52I don't know how the dress tour was fine all day, but somehow it rips.
32:57Why is this ripping?
32:58Irina's dress, it just .
33:02Oh, your dress tore. What happened?
33:19This fabric is not your best friend. The seams, well, first of all, they're ripping.
33:22She tore it. What did the other designers think of Irina's dress?
33:28I wasn't too crazy about the cascading flowers, but it was, like, inoculate.
33:32Couture, how about you?
33:33I mean, I thought it was pretty. I did feel like it did look like a wedding dress.
33:37I mean, it was a gorgeous dress. I agree.
33:40And I feel like I put in kind of the most work into it.
33:43I mean, the bridal thing did keep on coming up.
33:46Whatever it was, I thought I more than earned a second chance.
33:50Amen to that.
33:51Irina did have one major win this season, which got everyone in America talking.
33:56So cool.
33:57And we'll reveal all after the break, but let's just say the results were pretty animated.
34:06Coming up.
34:06Hello. This is Marge Simpson.
34:09Hooray.
34:10Yay.
34:11Boom.
34:11Boom.
34:12It's on.
34:13Our love and the death, but he's got to go.
34:15Everyone.
34:20One of the most talked about challenges all season involved one of the most iconic
34:26housewives in television history. It excited some of you. It confused some of you.
34:33But it definitely resulted in a great runway. This was Marge Madness.
34:38Amazing.
34:40You're going to create a dress for Marge Simpson.
34:43Hello, Project Runway All Stars designers. This is Marge Simpson.
34:50The winning design will be animated and worn by Marge in a future episode of The Simpsons.
34:55Oh, my God.
34:56Oh, my God.
35:06Cowabunga.
35:08These are rad.
35:10Thanks, Marge.
35:12Hello, designers. Today's challenge is to do a dress.
35:16I can't believe I had that voice in there.
35:18There is a twist now. You have to make it sexy.
35:21It's amazing. You make me really excited about coming here.
35:39I love this dress. I'm obsessed with it. I think it's absolutely gorgeous.
35:43One of you is about to add Marge Simpson to your list of clients.
35:47Irina. Yay. This was the challenge worth waiting for to win.
35:57It's amazing.
35:58Irina, you won that challenge. What was your whole philosophy going into it? And how did it affect
36:04your design?
36:04I just kind of took the fact that she's a cartoon character out of the equation.
36:09It was a smart play.
36:11Well, The Simpsons are absolutely thrilled with the winning dress. And they love the
36:15challenges so much that Marge Simpson wanted to try on all the dresses made for her date night.
36:22So, let's see.
36:23Oh, this is awesome.
36:24Elena.
36:24Oh, wow.
36:25Oh, cute.
36:26Christopher.
36:27Oh, that's cute.
36:29Jeffrey.
36:30Oh, sexy.
36:31Coteau.
36:32That's cute.
36:35Victor.
36:36This is cool.
36:37Seth Aaron.
36:38So cute.
36:39Irina.
36:41How cool is that?
36:43That's really cool.
36:46She has a whole new wardrobe.
36:47This season, we really put the designers on the spot as Christopher and Coteau battled it
36:52out for the last place in the finale. I don't know how you guys did this. I have some exclusive
36:58footage from the moment they were challenged to remix one of their previous designs into a dramatic new
37:05look live on the runway. Christopher and Coteau, to win that last place, we have one more challenge.
37:15And it's going to take place right here, right now. You will select three looks from your previous
37:22challenges and remix them into one new outfit here on the runway. You will only have one hour to do it.
37:31What?
37:31Are you kidding me? It takes an hour to put a zipper into something sometimes.
37:38I don't want to cut up my things. The winner of this challenge goes to the finale and the loser goes
37:42home. It's on and popping. Oh, it's on.
37:51What?
37:52I'm using my red carpet gown to make a skirt.
37:55Break apart my Bonnie and Clyde jacket. Are you kidding me?
37:58Christopher, can I borrow some fabric?
38:03What?
38:03I guess it's a no on that fabric.
38:06He heard me.
38:07He's being shady.
38:11I didn't hear you.
38:14One minute, one minute, one minute, one minute.
38:16I don't know what just happened.
38:24Wow.
38:24Oh my god, never again.
38:26I want to know.
38:27That was so overrated.
38:28I'm in anxiety.
38:29I know.
38:30Ketel, what was going through your mind?
38:32I was like, I just come too far. I love him to death, but he's got to go.
38:34Ooh.
38:36And it got you into the final, which is pretty cool.
38:39But I want to know what the rest of you think of each of the designs. Like, who should have won?
38:45Show of hands.
38:46When I saw it.
38:47Kato.
38:48Oh, no, wait.
38:48Well, everyone.
38:51Well, to me, to me, Kato seemed the most transformed.
38:54I'm a little bit more towards his aesthetic, so I liked it a little bit more.
38:57What was the worst look of the season for you?
39:00Sorry, Jeffrey.
39:02I cannot get over the avant-garde executioner's hood.
39:07I mean, it was spectacularly bad.
39:10It was a bad extravaganza.
39:11I don't recall.
39:12It was amazingly bad. Well done.
39:14I know.
39:15I know.
39:15I mean, that's the thing. I will say.
39:19My least favorite was Kato's unconventional. Sorry.
39:23Are we going to see a picture?
39:24Oh, Jesus.
39:25Yeah, yeah, yeah.
39:26Let's do Isaac.
39:27Hooray.
39:28Hooray.
39:28Boom.
39:32What was your favorite look?
39:33My favorite was Elena's, the white cocktail dress.
39:38It was just, it was perfectly modern and bang on trend. I loved it.
39:41And how about yours of the entire season?
39:44Seth Aaron's red wool coat from the finale collections.
39:49Classic, but yet still, like, modern and different. Loved it. Loved it. Loved it.
39:54Best looks. Who is everyone's favorite look from the entire season?
39:57I actually love Seth's print scarf dress. I want that dress.
40:03Melissa, what was your favorite?
40:04Irina's avant-garde challenge. That crazy.
40:08That was one of my favorite looks. Jeffrey?
40:10Christopher's Bonnie and Clyde dress was definitely my favorite.
40:15Ari, your favorite?
40:17Mine. My one, my one look.
40:22Kato, what's next for you?
40:23I started a Kickstarter site to kind of launch funding for my brand and, um, push forward.
40:29Elena, what's next for you?
40:31I'm getting married in June.
40:32Aww.
40:34Um, and I'm working on some really exciting costuming projects.
40:39Last but not least, Project Runway All-Stars 3 winner, Seth Aaron.
40:45Woohoo!
40:48I just completed, um, my QVC line.
40:51Wow.
40:51And I had my first meeting with another sponsor, uh, Mary Kay.
40:57And they've asked to partner with me and create a line for their brand.
41:01Fantastic.
41:02That's great.
41:03I'm really excited about that one.
41:05This has been so much fun.
41:08I loved coming to work every single day.
41:11And part of that was because I was able to be surrounded with such wonderful creativity.
41:19I'm going to miss you guys so much.
41:22That's it from our reunion special.
41:24It has been a great season.
41:26From Project Runway All-Stars, thanks for watching and see you next time.
41:30Good night.
41:31Bye bye.
41:32I love this so much, I want to kiss you.
41:38Okay.
41:39That is killer.
41:41It's too perfect, what you've done.
41:43This is the star and you nailed it.
41:45The top of this dress gave me goosebumps when it walked out.
41:49This is something I would buy and I would wear.
41:52Well played, Michael.
41:54I love the pointy little boobies.
41:56They're so cute.
41:57I think it's fabulous.
41:58I really do.
