Icons of Change International Awards 2025

Lee Hao Ming
Chief Executive Officer, Louken Group

SDG Focus: Sustainable Development Goal 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
Visionary Business Builder and Global Brand Strategist of the Year

In a business climate where disruption is constant and competitive advantage is increasingly shaped by agility, innovation, and cross-border collaboration, Lee Hao Ming has distinguished himself as a leader whose influence extends far beyond the boardroom. As Chief Executive Officer of Louken Group—an award-winning venture builder and brand consultancy established in 2000—he has cultivated a track record of transforming enterprises into internationally recognised brands, while embedding sustainability, purpose, and cultural intelligence into the very DNA of business growth.

Under his stewardship, Louken Group has matured into what he aptly describes as a “possibilities company”—an ecosystem designed to bridge the gap between vision and realisation through its three interconnected pillars: Transform (strategic consultancy and brand evolution), Venture (investment and business acceleration), and Trade (market entry and globalisation). Through this integrated approach, Louken has played an instrumental role in the global expansion of iconic names such as Charles & Keith, Hegen, BreadTalk Group, and Paradise Group—brands now synonymous with innovation, quality, and international appeal.

Hao Ming’s influence, however, is not confined to brand transformation. He actively contributes to advancing future-focused industries as Board Advisor to two groundbreaking companies in the food and biotechnology sectors—ImpacFat, the world’s first cultivated fish fat producer, and Less & Co, an innovator in food waste circularity whose brands CRUST and CROP are pioneering sustainable consumption models. In these advisory roles, he brings strategic clarity, global partnership networks, and fundraising expertise, driving both commercial success and environmental stewardship.

His leadership has also been tested and proven in times of uncertainty. As Managing Partner of Huggs Coffee during the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hao Ming led a bold restructuring of the business model, redefined its brand positioning, and forged high-profile partnerships with global players such as Samsung, Amazon, Ant Group, and Mandai Group. In just over two years, Huggs expanded more than fifteen-fold—emerging from the crisis not only resilient but strategically positioned for long-term regional growth.

Earlier in his career, Hao Ming co-founded Artbox Singapore, a lifestyle event that drew more than 700,000 visitors in only six days, and served as Regional Head of Strategy at Invade, where he played a pivotal role in shaping some of Asia’s most engaging large-scale experiential events.

00:00Hi, I'm Hao Ming from Singapore, and I'm the CEO of Loken Group.
00:05I'm truly honoured to receive this Icons of Change Award.
00:09This year's UN Team International Year of Peace and Trust really resonates with me.
00:14Because in a world that often prizes noise over nuance, speed over soul, peace and trust
00:19can feel like luxuries.
00:20But to me, they're the real foundations of leadership.
00:23At Loken, we don't just build companies, we build belief.
00:27We believe in a future where business isn't extractive, but regenerative.
00:32Where growth isn't just about more, but about meaning.
00:35We work with founders in the wellbeing economy, in functional food, biotech, sustainability,
00:41not just to help them scale, but to help them serve.
00:44And we've seen what happens when values align.
00:47Businesses become vehicles for change, and brands become bridges between people and purpose.
00:53My personal journey hasn't been about chasing titles or headlines.
00:57It's been about creating values for others, whether it's backing a founder who was once
01:01overlooked, mentoring a youth who needed someone to believe in them, and helping a local brand
01:06find clarity and the courage to go global.
01:09I've learned that real change is quiet.
01:12It's personal.
01:13Where I always say, one life changed is one world changed.
01:17And that's what peace really looks like to me.
01:20Not just in treaties or policies, but in how we treat each other.
01:24And trust, that's built when we lead with integrity, and when we keep showing up and
01:28staying true to the long game, even when it's not glamorous.
01:33So thank you to the Icons of Change Awards for this meaningful recognition.
01:36This moment isn't just about celebrating what's been done.
01:39It's about recommitting to what is still possible.
01:43I remain committed to building ventures that uplift communities, create jobs, empower founders,
01:49and nourish lives, all while regenerating the ecosystem we live in.
01:53This is how we translate the Sustainable Development Goals into action.
01:57Not just in theory, but in business, in partnership, in mentorship, and in every decision we make.
02:04Because at the end of the day, peace isn't passive, trust isn't given, and impact isn't accidental.
02:11We build it through belief, through courage, and through regenerative business that heals.
