SDG Focus: Sustainable Development Goal 15 – Life on Land
Changemaker in Ecological Philosophy, Education, and Human Resilience (United States)

Few thinkers embody the convergence of intellect, spirituality, and sustainability quite like Eloheem Ali. A philosopher by training, educator by profession, and visionary by purpose, Eloheem has devoted his life to reimagining humanity’s relationship with nature — not as conquerors of the earth, but as collaborators within it. His work is a clarion call for resilience, balance, and the reclamation of harmony between human progress and the planet’s enduring rhythms.

Raised in the historic towns of Lawnside and Pine Hill, New Jersey, Eloheem’s early years were marked by a profound curiosity for meaning and order. This intellectual hunger led him to The Lincoln University, where he earned multiple awards in Philosophy and Religion, disciplines that continue to anchor his worldview. His grounding in metaphysics, ethics, and comparative religion instilled in him a rare synthesis of critical inquiry and spiritual understanding — a foundation that would shape his distinctive voice as a global thought leader.

Eloheem began his professional journey in the classroom, teaching in inner-city schools where he quickly rose to positions of influence as Lead Teacher, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal. There, he cultivated not only academic excellence but personal transformation — using philosophy as a living practice to inspire courage, character, and community among youth facing systemic adversity. His approach to education transcended textbooks; it was mentorship rooted in empathy, empowerment, and the belief that true learning begins with self-discovery.

Beyond academia, Eloheem’s intellectual and creative pursuits took form through Abstract History and Abstract Exploration, platforms that blend scholarship, storytelling, and societal reflection. Through these initiatives, he invites audiences to question historical narratives, challenge intellectual complacency, and explore what he terms The Philosophy of Order — a lifelong study of how balance, structure, and awareness can restore harmony in both personal and collective existence.

His most groundbreaking contribution, however, is the Food Forest Foraging Hunting Anti-Fragile Modern Societies (FFFHAMS) movement — a revolutionary framework for sustainable living. FFFHAMS merges ancient survival wisdom with modern ecological science, teaching communities to design self-sustaining systems that regenerate rather than deplete.

00:00I was asked a question in philosophy class that will change the way you see our world.
00:04If a girl is in a pond drowning and you see her and don't know how to swim, is it your fault if she drowned?
00:12Most would say no, and I would agree.
00:16But if you saw a girl in a pond drowning and you do know how to swim, but you don't take action, are you responsible when she drowns?
00:25I would say absolutely.
00:28Most of us don't know what to do about the world we live in.
00:32But for those who do, every day we do nothing.
00:35We take responsibility for the destruction happening to our home.
00:40My name is Elohim Ali.
00:42I am the guide to FAMS and the teacher-student of the philosophy of order.
00:47My life mission is FAMS.
00:49F-F-F-H-A-M-S.
00:51Food, Forest, Foraging, Hunting, Anti-Fragile Modern Society.
00:55The kind of societies we live in today are bad for humanity and bad for the earth.
01:01The more advanced this society grows, the more depleted humanity and the earth become.
01:06Our bodies and minds come here with certain expectations to eat healthy food that we collect while burning calories,
01:12who live in communities that grow stronger in the face of chaos and societies that advance technology that is good for humanity and the earth.
01:20That's FAMS.
01:21In the year of international peace and trust, I ask you not to think of laws and rules that will make us more peaceful and trusting.
01:28Instead, I also, or I ask you to think of an environment that selects for societies that are peaceful and trusting.
01:36Because you cannot legislate behavior.
01:39I am honored to accept this recognition from the Icon of Change Awards.
01:44I love that this organization is searching for people trying to make this world a better place, but are unsung, unseen.
01:51Because maybe it takes only one person with one voice singing the right song to orchestrate a new world for humanity.
02:01I love you all.
02:02Peace.
