With over three decades of leadership spanning telecommunications, content ecosystems, digital platforms, and emerging technologies, she has shaped a resilient, future-ready media infrastructure for the Filipino public. Her work directly advances Sustainable Development Goal 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, catalyzing innovation-driven growth and expanding access to reliable, world-class information systems.  As President and Chief Executive Officer of MediaQuest Holdings, Inc., and concurrently the chief architect behind several of the country’s most influential media and technology enterprises—Cignal TV, Nation Broadcasting Corporation, MQuest Ventures, TVJ Productions, Sari-Sari Productions, and EPIK Productions—Basas has established a multi-platform, synergistic content and connectivity ecosystem that empowers households, creatives, enterprises, and communities nationwide. Her leadership integrates telecommunications, live sports, entertainment, news, and digital experiences into a cohesive value chain that is both commercially competitive and socially relevant.  A visionary strategist with a proven track record in high-growth environments, Basas engineered Cignal TV’s market leadership by 2017, repositioning the company from a content aggregator into a powerhouse content producer. This pivot future-proofed the organization in a rapidly evolving media landscape, strengthening its operational backbone while expanding its creative footprint. Under her direction, Cignal also championed industry-quality standards, strengthened network partnerships, and secured its position as a leading player in the Philippine entertainment and information sectors.  Through MQuest Ventures, she expanded MediaQuest’s footprint toward agile content innovation and specialized production. The company rapidly became a central hub for creative enterprises, partnering with TVJ Productions, MQ Live, MQ Play, and WinQuest, and driving new-generation Filipino entertainment pipelines. This includes supporting the country's longest-running noontime show and delivering content that resonates across demographic and regional segments.

00:00Good day! First of all, allow me to express my heartfelt gratitude for this recognition.

00:06Being named an icon of change is truly an honor and I receive it with deep humility.

00:11I have always believed that whatever role we hold, whether in business, in media, or in our personal lives,

00:18we carry a responsibility that goes beyond delivering results for our customers and our shareholders.

00:23We are part of a much bigger community, and when we are blessed with a little more ability and a little more opportunity,

00:29we are called by God to give back generously, purposefully, and with impact.

00:35Think Ka Muna is one of the ways I try to live out that responsibility.

00:39With the breadth of media platforms entrusted to us in MediaQuest,

00:42we use our voice to encourage people to pause, to think first before acting, reacting, or sharing,

00:48to be discerning about what they watch, what they read, and what they choose to believe.

00:53And today, this is more urgent than ever.

00:56Our society, especially our young people, is flooded with information, misinformation, and disinformation.

01:03The ability to sift through the noise is no longer optional. It is essential.

01:07It is the only way truth can rise above the chaos.

01:10I am grateful for the platforms we have in MediaQuest and for the opportunity to use them

01:14to help shape a more thoughtful, informed, and responsible society.
