Sustainable Development Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities
Changemaker for Climate-Resilient Healthcare Infrastructure (Singapore)

Few leaders embody the convergence of architecture, sustainability strategy, and systems-level transformation as compellingly as Kee Wei Hui. With nearly two decades of experience across the built environment, public institutions, and investment advisory, she has emerged as one of Singapore’s foremost champions for climate-resilient, people-centric urban development. Her work advances Sustainable Development Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, strengthening the foundations of a more inclusive, healthier, and future-ready urban ecosystem.

As Head of the Sustainability Office at MOH Holdings, the holding company for Singapore’s public healthcare institutions, Kee Wei leads the strategic integration of sustainability across the nation’s healthcare infrastructure pipeline. She oversees the development of long-horizon decarbonisation roadmaps, circular-economy frameworks, and ESG governance systems that shape new hospitals, polyclinics, nursing homes, and community care facilities. Under her leadership, sustainability is not treated as an add-on — it is embedded as a core business driver that enhances patient well-being, operational resilience, and national resource stewardship.

Her earlier tenure at JLL further solidified her reputation as an industry thought leader. As Director and Development Advisory Lead for investor and technical advisory clients, she architected ESG-aligned strategies for sovereign wealth funds, real estate investors, and corporate owners. She championed decarbonisation pathways for brownfield assets, elevated ESG reporting and benchmarking standards, and delivered advisory solutions that balanced investment returns with climate responsibility. Her work consistently demonstrated that sustainable development, when led with strategic clarity, creates synergistic economic, environmental, and social value.

A registered architect trained in human-centric design, Kee Wei blends design empathy with analytical precision. A recipient of the Singapore Institute of Architects Gold Medal and the Board of Architects Medal, she brings a rare fusion of creativity, strategic foresight, and business discipline. Her professional credentials span ISSB Sustainability Disclosures, GRI Reporting, Harvard Sustainable Business Strategy, and advanced management training — reflecting her belief that sustainability leadership requires perpetual learning and interdisciplinary mastery.

00:00Hi everyone, I am Wei Hui. Thank you for this incredible honour. I'm truly humbled to be
00:08recognised among the icons of change. The United Nations team for 2025, the International Year of
00:15Peace and Trust, resonates deeply with me. At its core, sustainability is about both creating
00:23harmony between people and planet and building trust in how we design, lead and shape our shared
00:29future. My work has focused on integrating decarbonisation, circularity and strong ESG
00:37governance across sectors. From real estate to public health, to show that caring for our environment
00:44is inseparable from caring for our communities. Guided by the Sustainable Development Goals, I aim
00:51to make sustainability not just an initiative but a mindset embedded in how we build and how we heal.
01:00Peace begins with trust in each other, in our systems and in the choices we make today
01:06for tomorrow. Thank you once again for this honour.
