04:07it's exciting we're seeing a lot of stuff in here not only the new young running back Amari and
04:12Hampton who I've never heard such praise about a guy I mean every coach that we talked to said
04:18this guy just has a feel for getting in the gap and getting in the holes and just has this natural
04:24downhill ability then the ability to make people miss ability to run over people and they are really
04:30excited Jim Harbaugh was telling us if we had a chance to redraft we're taking him again same thing

04:37from the 17 high pass brought down by Lance and there is Hampton on the run good looking run
04:46to the five yard line he goes second and short good to get a look at the leading running back in
04:55the Atlantic Coast Conference last year yeah 15 touchdowns over 1500 yards the last two years in
05:02college and I think that fits that Jim Harbaugh description of what we've been talking about
05:07right this offensive line has gotten bigger of course everybody talks about Mekhi Becton coming
05:12over he'll be the right guard for this football team big powerful running backs and offensive line
05:18snap issues again Lance falls on it so Zion Johnson starting guard who's never played center is in there
05:26at center two snaps ago as a high shotgun snap that time a misconnect with Lance but they would love to have
05:34Zion Johnson who is one of the more athletic guys that they have on that offensive line have the ability to get in
05:41there and play that position he and Bradley Bozeman who had been the center just flip flopping I think
05:47ultimately he goes back to guard Zion Johnson does but at least they're getting him some experience in case
05:53Lance Gibbs turning the corner Hampton great open field tackle by Rocky Sin who came in for the Lions this year and makes the tackle at the corner veteran
06:06late sometime in San Francisco I gotta admit I was watching for Hampton to make one of these Superman moves that we've been hearing about and Rocky Sin said

24:41I've always wanted

24:44to be able to fulfill
24:45my dream and play
24:46in the NFL
24:47well and you played
24:48for seven seasons
24:48your career
24:50ended because of
24:51the neck injury
24:52forced you into
24:53retirement
24:53but you say
24:54it was not a short
24:55why
24:56no it wasn't
24:57because remember
24:58if I only wanted
24:59to play
24:59I didn't want to
25:00play for 20 years
25:01or 40 years
25:01or do all this
25:02other stuff
25:02I just wanted to play
25:03and the only guys
25:05happier
25:06when my career
25:07ended
25:08than I was
25:09was the doctors
25:11that told me
25:11I will never
25:12play football again
25:13we were very happy
25:15we high-fived
25:15and it was great
25:17that's all I ever
25:18wanted to do
25:18was play
25:19and you know
25:20God has a wonderful
25:23way of guiding us
25:24or putting us
25:25exactly where
25:25we're supposed to be
25:26the moment
25:26we're supposed to be there
25:27I didn't talk
25:28to the media
25:29as a player
25:29and I was in the
25:30I did media
25:31for 21 years
25:32so I mean
25:33who knew
25:34you know
25:35and that's the thing
25:35is you go on a journey
25:36and you enjoy that journey
25:37and you see where it takes you
25:39well
25:39and talk about that journey
25:41because you're talking
25:42about retirement
25:42and what you've done
25:44the broadcasting career
25:45golf
25:46as we throw it back
25:47we want to include

44:53and going into the NFL
44:55I had guys a lot smaller
44:57and I was used
44:58to creating space
44:59on guys
44:59that was a lot bigger
45:00so I think to me
45:02that's why tight ends
45:02in the basketball
45:04players are good tight ends
45:05because they are used
45:06to doing things
45:07that's natural
45:08to playing a position
45:09tight end
45:10catching the ball
45:10at its highest point
45:11creating space
45:12but the only difference
45:14is that now guys
45:14are 5'11", 5'10", 6 feet
45:17and I was used
45:17to doing it
45:18because guys 6'8", 6'9
45:19so it made a big difference
45:21for me
45:21and it allowed me
45:22to flourish
45:22in the game of football
45:23well and Mike
45:24just mentioned it
45:25a record you still hold
45:26today in 2017
45:27you broke the all-time
45:29touchdown record
45:30for tight ends
45:31can you walk us
45:32through that play
45:33and what it meant to you
45:34well obviously
45:36we've been preparing
45:38for this moment
45:38for a couple of weeks
45:40because they wouldn't
45:40throw me the ball
45:41when he was on the road
45:41the week before that
45:42so we wanted to do it
45:44at home in Los Angeles
45:45but I think for me
45:47it was just about
45:47the game itself
45:49I always play the play
45:50and play in the moment
45:51the best players
45:52usually adapt
45:52when the circumstances
45:53come up
45:54I didn't pre-read
45:55anything
45:55it looked like cover 4
45:56I wasn't sure
45:57if it was cover 2
45:58cover 6
45:59and all I try to do
46:00is use my natural ability
46:02to make the decision
46:03and I think
46:03that's what good players do
46:04they make the necessary
46:06adjustment
46:07it's all about adapting
46:08I seen the guy
46:09I felt like I had
46:10a little bit of leverage
46:10on him
46:11and that's why
46:12I've always made plays
46:13in the red zone
46:13but that was a very
46:14emotional moment for you
46:15you told me you cried
46:16I did
46:17I don't know if it was
46:19my crying
46:19or the birds
46:20that flew over the top
46:21but my eyes got
46:23really watery
46:23for some strange reason
46:24and I believe it was
46:25because of the moment
46:26and guys were like
46:28hugging me
46:28and jumping on top of me
46:29but it was just the idea
46:31of all the hard work
46:32what's underneath the surface
46:34that don't nobody see
46:35and when you see
46:36all those things
46:37come to fruition
46:38and you make a catch
46:39and be the all-time leader
46:41in the history of the game
46:43and you didn't even
46:44play college football
46:44I mean
46:46you just think about
46:47all the things
46:48you had to go through
46:49to get to that point
46:49and I think that's
46:50where the emotions
46:51come in at
46:51well congratulations
